  • This is a quick etching project using stickers & dichroic glass and I'll even glue on a bail. I make 2 different projects using stickers from the Dollar Tree store. At the end you'll get a sneak peek at the wire wrapped mermaid pendant - #67 Wire Wrapping The Mermaid.

In this video I'm using Bullseye glass (coe90)
112 Mint Green Opal frit - Medium (Frit on lower mermaid)
332 Plum Striker Opal frit - Medium (Frit on lower mermaid)
013 White 3mm sheet glass (base of heart pendant)
Glitter Fancy Stickers - Purchased at Dollar Tree (mermaid & heart sticker)
Dichroic Glass #AB-GMR transparent red glass with dichroic coating purchased from DichroicInc.com (heart pendant)
Bails for Fused Glass - Assorted, Large, Silver plated from Axzana.com (bail for heart pendant)
Full Fuse firing schedule for small jewelry pieces:
    500˚F (260˚C) per hr to 1450˚F (785˚C)
    Hold for 10 minutes
    Off
E-6000 was used to attached the bail to the heart pendant.
I rough up the glass a bit with a Dremel where the bail will be attached.
Use a small amount of E-6000 to attach the bail to the pendant.
Let it sit 10-20 minutes then clean off any excess glue.
Then let it sit for 24 hours before curing the glue in an oven or kiln.

K P that’s a great idea BUT it’s already been given away to a good friend who requested it for Christmas. 😁. I’ll make the next one into a magnet.

Hi Susan sticker etching looks like fun.Does the etching cream have a bad odor? The ventilation in my apartment isn't great.Thats where I'd be doing that.

Ellen Murphy Great question. I never noticed a smell when I was using it so I just went and checked. I open the jar and couldn’t smell any noticeable sent so I stuck my nose down into it and can smell a very slight hint of a lemon juice kind of a smell. So I would say it’s safe to use indoors.
