Are ceramic molds and glass molds made of the same plaster material?

I think the plaster is used for slip casting the ceramic, it draws out the moisture. Then the ceramic, after firing, can be used as a glass mould. Not too sure though, hope the author might reply. Question, how do you get the glass to easily come loose out of the mould, any non-stick additive? Thanks!
