- With a lot of you currently checking out Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, I figured I'd put up a video about how I make my mixed sets. Since the skill system is a little more complex in terms of optimization, hopefully this will help you squeeze out some more performance from your mixed sets.

I’ve always used the gunlance in MHGU. You gotta try Aerial Gunlance it’s not crazy strong but it’s so much fun, your full burst is behind vaulting which is both funny and low key underrated. Also makes for some great aerial fire kill shots worthy of being screenshotted and framed on a wall.
Aaaaaye, Rurikhan, love that you made a vid on the OG Monster Hunter (OG in terms of how World works, you know), it's a bit of a different world in here (no pun intended). This is definitely a "think twice before you act" play style, but hey, it's our roots, brother. No pain, no gain. I got this amor and the maxed Ahtal-Ka SnS when I transfered my mhgen data to mhxx on 3ds
I don't know why but I like it XD
Well it's the best armour for people like me who doesnt care enouth to do mixed sets.

As someone who WOW used to be able to see and no longer can I appreciate the things such as the MH generations ultimate database app. As well as just all the online information I have access to. I still play of course though I possibly struggle even more but when learning something of course you’re going to struggle. Anyway great video and now you’ve got me curious on maybe making my own mix set
I'm using the bujabujabu set cause of that early Atk up (L) and it kinda pairs really well with charge blade (there's probably a better set for that weapon) but I don't have many options for set right now with the help of bujabujabu I was able to beat some monsters to have access to more materials
Recently picked it up on my switch having trouble getting used to the controls lol
Its definitely a shift, especially coming from World. What worked for me was getting one if those pro controllers. Helped flatten the learning curve a bit
Nathan Eager I guess that’s good but I got use to it pretty fast with just the normal switch controls it’s not hard trust it’s just wonky but you get use to it specially if your using valor LS so op
It sucks especially if coming from PC. My muscle memory is not as good on a controller
That's classic MH for you. You fight controls as much as you fight monsters haha.
Hi Ruri, I've been really enjoying watching your monster hunter content. I joined for dark souls way back in the day, but have started to get interested in MH. Is it too late to start into MH World? If not, do you have any advice fot a completely new player?
It's never too late. My advice is just take everything at your own pace and enjoy it, no need to rush. Try out all the weapons in the training area when you get to Astera, this will allow you to see which one suits you the most. After that it's just practice that weapon, learn it and go out there and hunt.
Yo, what is that thumbnail image from? It looks like cinematic grade stuff with Bloodbath Diablos in it. Is it from some obscure trailer I've never seen, or is it just some promotional image?

I have a special place for the Jaggi armor. Low rank may be the weakest but at HR and even GRank you get AttackUp(S) and Expert+1 with the full set. I think if you are lucky with charms,you can get both to (M) and +2 or even more. I got a +10 Expert charm(no slots) and the armor slots let me get AttackUp(M) at GRank if I remember correctly.
You can mix it with the Bulldrome set and some attack decos to get Attack up (L) at Low Rank.

razor sharp is actually the xeno'jiiva/nargacuga set bonus in world. also, i think that jho-ceana set might be a pun on "john cena" based on how similar they sound

I've been playing this game for a few days now trying to main charge blade since I main it in world. Trying to understand Valor, Guild, and Aerial mostly. It's super fun should have gotten this sooner

The problem with MHGU there are a lot of sets, but they are not really usefull) Especially in LR and HR.. If you Blademaster this are Kut-Ku, Rathalos, Ceanataur, on early G rang there are also Arms and Legs from Jaggi gives Expert.. that's it))
Personally, I prefer non meta builds. I hate when everyone has the exact same crap on because "it's the best" and if you don't then "you don't know how to play."
Well only because you play non meta, it doesnt mean you shouldn't use mix sets. You can get really nice non meta mix sets
@@rajangslayer2286 I understand that. That wasn't quite what I was getting at. It's more the "you have to use this specific setup or you can't be part of the team" type of meta I was referring too.
@@banedeath You don't have to use it, you just have to acknowledge that that your set isn't ideal/that great (depending on the set).

AYYYYYYEEEE so glad you are covering more GU. I highly recommend Kiranico site or the MHGU DB saves your time so much. I am still playing GU and have well over 300hrs and still not done with the content. So much to do and farming for good charms (cries the struggle).
I just finished farming shagaru magala full armor for the handicraft skill
so awesome there's a video for newcomers to the OG franchise, i'll definetly send it to my friends who believe they are pro in world

mixed sets are really cool although i find the practice of getting a complete set is more valuable than the armour skills you got on the way. having good armour skills is secondary to knowing how to fight monsters.

Mhgu database is inaccurate on iOS but great on Android.
