Never understood why people are okay with movies about serial killers, but not okay with songs about them
i dont think it's that people have a probelm with the subject matter, it just comes off as over the top cheesiness. i still love the instrumentals of this song, but the lyrics now make me roll my eyes a bit
@@iejaculatefire9319 talking about serial killers are not cheesy for me at least. Not that I listenning songs about serial killers at all but the subject about serial killers are pretty insteresting even if one has not experienced a serial killer or psycho but we all know that these people are very real.
Absolutely!
@@iejaculatefire9319 not cheese at all. If you think that, you don't know the story behind the song.
They're both fine as arts, however, I think movies represent something else other than itself (other than the idea of drama or filming a bunch of actors), so you start at the art of drama and end at a story whether its inspired by true event or just fiction, so its not promoting the idea of violence but its rather showing that something else is(a story), however when it comes to songs it doesn't go anywhere further i mean how can you tell reality from fiction in music? there's none to me, its just music, no matter how extreme it is, singing about killing is as real as singing about kissing either you accept them both or you gotta admit that all the music you listen to is just a meaningless act and it has no effect on your intellect or moods, songs have much greater power and influence than movies
The opening in this song is so good it hurts. Badass song from a great album.
Also, very entertaining to see your reaction to the lyrics. Mustaine didn't give a phuc back in the day.
The pure terror that unfolds on both of their faces as Mustaine begins singing is just priceless😂
ALRIGHT! One of the best thrash songs and albums ever!!
Damn straight, it's the most violent song of all time and nothing any death metal band will ever do will ever come anything close to this in terms of sheer destruction
@@deaconcarter3459 good song one of my favs but obviously you never listened to Cannibal Corpse lyrics from Eaten Back to Life or Butchered at birth which have the most violent lyrics. This song fails to come close to the violence of Cannibal Corpse
@@egrigg11 cannibal corpse sucks so it doesn't counts
@@Louisee77 opinions are like assholes we all have one. Suck or not CC lyrics are still more brutal and violent. The argument wasnt about who is better
@@Louisee77 they are pretty good musicians tbh but the vocals ruin it for me
How can metal fans not like Peace Sells? That boggles my mind!
Duane Milbury It's insane
Its crazy
Peace Sells is a masterpiece!!!
It truly is mind boggling.
@@Walamonga1313 dude you're basically the peace sells master. Your everywhere!
Sori, Chris Poland's guitar sometimes sounds like a violin.
Thomas Lee master of legato
well this is a remastered version
The lyrical themes are way out of the usual stuff Dave writes.
Lyrics are about just plain murder.
The instrumentation is the key in the song.
And he was a riff master in the 80's.
90's
And still is. No one figures out what makes people tick like Dave does.
One of the best metal song of all time❗️On one of the best album of all time❗️I’m a Christian and listen to Black Friday since 1986. This song tells a story. About a type of sociopath. Like the movie Seven 🎥 🍿 tells a story about a sociopath and the movie is so damn good. So you have to listen to a song like you listen to a film 🎞 The performance by Magadeth
Is perfect, a masterpiece. My Last Word is another masterpiece on that album. Almost every song is unbelievable.
Pat Soly yes both of those songs that album in its entirety was amazing
Pat Soly I think it’s a psychopath and not a sociopath
Amen!
You right
For sure Ur right
Megadeth . Five Magics and The conjuring, best riffs ever
My favorites too
Possessed with Hellish torment.
I've mastered magics five.
@@schem4686 Give me alchemy, give me sorcery give me wizardry thermatology electricity master all of these magic if you please bring him to his knees
OBEY
Also all the songs Dave won't play live anymore after becoming a born again Christian.
They just did five magics
Sori’s face is priceless when Dave is talking about the murdering. Lol
As usual, Dave is a more complex musician than the entire Metallica lineup put together just listen to this masterpiece
Hur dur, I prefer megadeth so metallica is bad
@@juanhenrique2658 Same, while Metallica do have some great songs I still listen to Megadeth a thousand times more
@@Baraka_Obama_ but do you also hur dur?
Yep anything after Justice is crap
On the other hand Megadeth the worlds state of the art speed metal band never fails!
Remember when comment sections were actually relevant to the current video and not just endless lists of requests?
Oh how I miss those mythical times!!
King Diamond!
Dude. Do you know where you are? You're in a reaction channel. Maybe the worst and most useless channel genre ever created. Who do you think watches this type of channels? People whose lives are so sad that they actually feel better when a random person they don't know at all pretends (most of the time) to like their favorite songs! Songs that they've already listened to a 1000 times! Of course there won't be any relevant comments cause everyone here and on other reaction channels just want the youtuber to react to their favorite song so they can get their fix. And this is something I don't get at all.
Before you ask me what am I doing here then, I watched the 2 vids with aron ra, then a couple of vids with religion discussions and now youtube has this channel on my recommended list whenever a video is uploaded.
Remember when there was no such thing as reaction videos?
@@IkmelAAA Oh yes, good times... Now YT is filled with guys, girls, kids, couples, gays, lesbians, grandpas, grandmas and their dog reacting to videos. But I don't blame them. They hope for easy money.
Sori was talking about the song "The Devil went down to Georgia"
V&S should probably react to Primus' cover of that song.
Steve Ouimette's cover rocks.
Yup.... speed country lol. Charlie Daniels Band
This was a country song but you should react to the Primus version.
There’s a parody version called the devil went down to Jamaica
Megadeth - The Conjuring 😉
Miguel Alvizuri don’t forget Bad Omen as well !
Lol they'll love this one
Wake up dead
Tornado Of Souls
Now for lyrics that you will definitely cipher through
Megadeth - Looking Down The Cross
🤘RattleHead🤘 I love that song and Dave Mustaines Vocals in that one very Jazzy song .
super underrated. Amazing song!
Yes ! This and bad omen
If there's one Megadeth song Vin and Sori need to hear it's Looking Down The Cross
agreed
Vin you are completlyright Mustaine is a real RIFF MASTER from this album you have to do THE CONJURING
Sori's reaction to the graphic lyrics. LOL
Dave has stated the lyrics for this song were inspired by Jack the ripper.
Just listen to this whole album. It's godly.
Bought and played this cassette in '86. Played it until the label wore off. Me and my best friend even slept to it at night. Lol.
Mine was probably more 88ish, but I got it close together with Metallica's Master of Puppets and Maiden's Somewhere in Time when I was 7 or 8 and the whole neighbourhood had to listen to it as well, when I took my boombox outside to sleep in a tent during summer. Good times.
Did the same and wore it out, still have it but it is just a black tape with bad spots on it...
Got @ midnight upon it release. Clear original tape. No words but atill playes great after thousands of plays... Quality... what ever happened to you???
@@hmpz36911 Time and space brother, time and space. Have had my copy now for several years now. Still have 300 CDs.
@@sdmfanthony5649 yea, does run into problems being a collector. Old vhs tapes i paid like $300. For back in the day i can not part with. & all the rare stuff the never got put to discs, both video and audio. So several thousand various medias. All nicely organized on shelves. Pipes breaking, floods lost some but surprisingly resilient. Had a Kill em All tape lost in summer and found in spring in rocky driveway and washed it off, dried it and STILL plays good! My loves... Just can't part with the best part if my life...
megadeth- poisonous shadows
modern masterpiece- a must listen
Yes i love this song
The guitar on this song is so incredible! It’s super technical but 100 % melodic and purposeful. It’s mind blowing! Cheers Dave Mustaine and Chris Poland!
This line up of Mustaine, Ellefson, Poland and Samuelson is so good. I'd call it swing metal. The groove they create is so infectious.
Best lineup that never saw it's full potential.
I know that this is off topic, but it was just announced recently that Iron Maiden will be touring the states starting July 2019. I know Vin has become a fan lately and here is your chance to see one of the greatest bands ever live. The tour is called Legacy Of The Beast and they will be playing some deep cuts that they don't normally play live. I will definitely be going to see Maiden on this tour.
WHAT!!!!!!!!! THIS IS THE BEST NEWS ALL YEAR!
Oh yeah. Got my tix for Phoenix yesterday!!
One of my favorite Megadeth songs musically, super technical. No doubt a little rough lyrically. Sori's face while listening 😂...appropriate to the lyrics. Mustaine will no longer perform this song since his turn to Christianity.
Sori is talking about the Devil Went Down to Georgia - Charlie Daniels.
ChicagoTRS I thought The Conjuring was the one he won’t play anymore?
He is playing Bad Omen and The Conjuring again (I believe the songs in question). Dave Ellefson is now a minister, preacher or some other religious whatever now and he still plays it.
The Conjuring they had not played since 2001 and then played it at many shows in 2018. Bad Omen has not been played since 1993 and Black Friday since 1991. I am wrong on Mustaine not playing them for Christian reasons...I do not have any source for that..it seems The Conjuring was the song in question.
Found a source...
"I look at songs like 'Black Friday' and I think, 'That would be a good song to
play, too' but I look at the lyrics, which are about a homicidal madman
who goes on a killing spree. Now, the irony of all of this is that I
said I wasn't going to play it but we've got the 25-year anniversary
coming up and people are saying we have to do this record. And I'm
thinking that I can't possibly do that and stay true to myself. But I'm sure where there's a will there's a way."When I first got saved about 10 years ago, I was really scared and I was
basically holding on to anything that I heard in church or whatever, but
as I've grown I've learned a lot and lightened up a lot, and I see
people around me doing certain things and instead of me saying 'Man, you
shouldn't do that!' I think quietly to myself, 'Dude, you don't know
what you're doing…' It's a huge growth process.""
Looking Down The Cross, The Conjuring, Last Rites/Loved to Death.
WMD possessor Bad Omen too bud
@@metalhead5223 Absolutely...the entire Megs discogrophy actually
MEGADETH - MY LAST WORDS
Good morning/Black friday lyrics are about a serial killer that only kills bad people, criminals. He says "killer, intruder, homicidal man, if you see me coming run as fast as you can"
Lol no. He's obviously talking about himself when he says Killer, Intruder, Homicidal man.
The greatest metal band in the history of music!
Megadeth - Burnt Ice, Lying In State, Sweating Bullets, Symphony of Destruction and Youthanasia
How about headcrusher
Sudden death, truth be told, 1,320,
Such a badass song! Lyrics, music...everything is perfect.
That's not a violin that's Chris Poland's vibrato, baby! And at 8:22/8:23, it's all about Chris' chops! He's a jazz/fusion trained guitarist
Thanks guys for an amazing video
Underrated Megadeth song! HELLOWEEN - KEEPER OF THE SEVEN KEYS 🎃 the song Sori means is probably the Devil went down to Georgia?
How Many Tears (the live version) is better.
Megadeth - My last words!!!!!!!!!
This is the very song and LP that got me playing electric guitar so many years ago.
Chris Poland has an amazing style with his odd bends and holds, Dave and his slightly muddy, filthy and anger filled riffs & solo's.
This is IMHO proto Blackened Thrash / BM. It is misanthropic, angry, cold with a heaping tablespoon of Fuck You.
BTW, lots of Black Magic and Satanic stuff on this LP. Try Bad Omen or The Conjuring.
Your dad sounds funny, Sori! Keep the videos coming you guys. They're all so great!
"i don't think i like this piece of music, i mean i like the sound but the meaning is not ethical so i shouldn't like this as a music" kind of thinking makes me irritated
I'm so happy you guys did this one!! :D
Megadeth - Dread and the Fugitive Mind.
The best Megadeth song that most fans haven't heard about.
Song totally rocks. Nobody ive ever seen do a review of that.
Ikmel A.A.A. I’ve heard it! we’re not vocal about it but most Megadeth fans know all their great songs.
Yesssssssss. Thanks for reacting
Judas Priest - Beyond The Realms Of Death!
Paradise Lost - Faith Divides Us Death Unites Us!
Ezio Auditore 1+ for Priest
I really did grow up with this " Peace sells... " album specially with this great song albeit this is a remastered version not much different from the original 1986 original track but great job dudes reviewing this hymn from metalhead years. you rock guys!!! Black Sabbath - Born Again please...
Awesome song, Megadeth rules man. You guys could react to some song of the Dystopia album, like Fatal Illusion or Bullet To The Brain (awesome solos in this one)
Bullet To The Brain would give them a field day in the discussion after.
My apologies you guys, I have been requesting this song for some time now and completely missed this! My bad.
Love the perspective you guys have on things . Make me not feel bad for listening to extreme music I'm not a big lyrics guy anyways so it doesn't matter much to me
I need to hear My Last Words from this album
My ringtone,absolutely love this song
And this reaction video is LIT and I absolutely love Sori's face when she looked up at the lyrics PRICELESS "The What The Fuck Is Happening Right Now" face!!
This is such an awesome song! this is one of my favorite albums by Megadeth. I got to see this tour back in 80...something. can't remember.
One of my favorite Megadeth tunes. Thanks for doing it guys. Now, the one I really want to see is Looking Down the Cross. One of the least talked about, but best Megadeth songs there is.
Megadeth - My last words
Finally. One of my favorites!
Your reaction to BLACK FRIDAY WAS HILARIOUS. yo, remember, MASTER MUSTAINE was still in pain and legitimately paused off. Going off point for a sec. Although I agree with your lovely vison of what could've been if CLIFF hadn't been crushed along with infusionsion of classical music infusion into rock and metal music.
VinAnd Sori 😍 Soris face when he first says Black Friday is sooo METAL! 🤘 LOVE Daves voice on Peace. For me when he says "and i will cut you down" That lil voice crack gives me shivers decades later still. So young and angry. Can feel every word and note he plays! AMAZING! more more. Next do, My Last Words, please, ty, ly, tc ttfn~
Wow epic track love the tempo
I clicked on this so quickly I totally misread which song it was and thought it was Wake Up Dead, for some reason, and thought it'd be hilarious to see Sori's reaction... then I realised what song it actually was, and thought, "Oh shit...", lol.
Oh shit hahaha that's exactly what I thought too!!!
Such an amazing song. Definitely my favorite Megadeth song, nothing but chills once the calm part passes
Bathory - Oden's Ride Over Nordland/A Fine Day to Die
IMPORTANT: There are videos that include both of them but do not be fooled by the video with HQ in the title (it's a lie!), go for the other one instead, it’s better!!
Haha Fuck yea
Looks like theyre not interested in mighty old school Black Metal, once they heard Venom theyre statisfied lol j/k
good to see some Megadeth !!!! maybe try out Hook in Mouth
Death - Spirit Crusher or Pull the Plug!
Crystal mountain is a good one as well
Great pick! One of our all time favorite Deth songs!
Hey guys! Great video as always. I would like to suggest something different for your underground show, the band is Volbeat and some good songs would be Seal The Deal or The Devils Bleeding Crown. Very unique sound, I think you guys would be into it! Keep up the good work, love you guys!
Yup. I remember those reaction faces all too well. My dad made the same ones every time he found a metal tape or CD I had hidden in my room. Megadeth was definitely on the list of bands he scolded me for. Christian home memories.
Death - Lack of Comprehension
Alejandro Reyes death is a treasure trove for their style of reactions
Alejandro Reyes vin would be woke from all of the prog elements
No Violin, That was Mustaine on Guitar..Should check out "My Last Words" same album
Great song & album. Seen this tour at the Phantasy Theater 1987 & a recording of that show is included with the 25th Anniversary 2-CD reissue of this album.
Awesome thank you guys
🤘RattleHead🤘 your day has finally arrived. I love Megadeth so I’ve been pulling for ya the whole time, can’t wait for this one🤙🏼
Looking down the cross next ! And Bad Omen too !!!
Yesssss... finally!!!
Legend has it that was about shoppers on Black Friday fighting over Tickle Me Elmo
Violin song about dude making deal with the devil was by Charlie Daniel's Band-The Devil went Down to Georgia.
Yess!! This was the song that introduced me to Megadeth!! You should check out Metal Church ~ Beyond the Black/Metal Church combined. A seriously underrated band!!
This is a deep video guys!
I was lucky enough to see this song live twice. First in 1990 and second in 1995. It is one of my favorite Megadeth songs, it has different levels to it. Keeps geeting more and more intense. \m/
Dave Mustaine, said that the inspiration for Good Mourning Black Friday. Was when the stock market crashed, or crashes in the future. He was telling a story about a man who lost everything. And shortly there after went insane. So this fictional character was going around murdering people. Why "paint the devil on the wall" I guess that's suppose to represent the ultimate evil, and depravity. Being kick out of Metallica, I'd assume fueled the song with anger, and angst. And a few satanic bands started popping up around this time period. So he appealed to all audiences.
Favorite song off Peace Sells! I always thought the song was about the horror movie Black Friday. Could be wrong on that! Lol 😂. More Iced Earth!! A Question of Heaven!
You can literally see Vin finally come to the conclusion (while listening to the song) that Megadeth is superior to Metallica
YAAAAAAS!!! I became fan of Megadeth at the time Rust in peace came out. I didn't know this one at that time. Had so much to discover. Also this one is epic. As always, ALLEGAEON: Proponent for sentience III the Extermination or Grey matter mechanics.
The Conjuring or Looking Down The Cross. You'll live those 😁
I don't always like your opinion, but you have that right. I like how your listing to the whole song first! MEGADETH RULES!!!
Haven't heard it in quite some time. It's growing old very well. This 2 in 1 song is maybe my favorite "Peace Sells…" song. So well constructed. Best part is when all instruments stop and he says "...and I will cut you down…" Classic stuff.
One of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard.
Poland is such a clean beautiful player thats how it sounded like a violin and the song your talking about is "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" - Charlie Daniels
This is one of the best megadeth. Even just the riffs in this song are insane! I don't know how the heck dave sings and plays at the same time in this song
FINALLY somthing good!!!
I just watched the video to see your reactions to the lyrics
Sori is so gorgeous and Vin is mad cool and this review rocked
One of my favorite MegaDeth songs ever, Peace Sells Is KING!! \m/ \m/
Love the speed in this song. And the lyrics are... interesting. I think it was relevant to the Richard Ramirez stuff happening around then.
When they open the doors
Run as fast as you can.
You grab my door buster
And we'll cut you down.
Black Friday!
Shopping Til You Drop!
Noooo waaayyyy, it actually happened, you guys reviewed Black Friday!
Sori, the "fiddle" song you were thinking of is "The Devil Went Down To Georgia"
Megadeth - The skull beneath the skin ( Nice riffs 💫)
Awesome song, That beginning solo of Chris Poland. The guitar is so full of emotion and alive. a Myriad of emotion. And some of Dave Mustaine's best riffing.
if you guys liked this one you should check out My Last Words by Megadeth. same album, personally one of my favorites
This past Halloween I made a kill room at work. It was inspired by Dexter and this song!! I tried to paint a Devil with the fake blood. Doesn’t really work on plastic.
My boss was talking to her boss and said the deployment of a new system was going to be delayed until Black Friday. Right after she said it I followed with “Paint the Devil on the wall!!” It was hilarious.
Black Friday...paint the \m/ on the wall!!
Thanks guys for this.....Try "Wake up Dead" next...really awesome song u guys will really love it. Thanks again.
ooooh bile and fury, sounds like fun
Sori, The country song you were thinking of was "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" By the Charlie Daniels band. 1979
Bout time... Such a phenomenal song.
Iron Maiden - Empire of the Clouds plis, and say hello to Brazil :D
