Haven't played in a while and low and behold, the day I say to myself "Hmm, I wonder if Stoneshard has updated?" BOOM!!! The hype is real! Gotta get back into it!
honestly I have no problem with the devs taking a long time to update, they do a fantastic job and with more time more stable products more promising new stuff
I'm happy that this game going on the path of becoming the best dungeon crawler of the century (at least for me). again it just turns into a completely different game.
@SentientBeefStew oh yeah! Massive update. Even including more gear which they didn't cover during any devlog. So I'm glad to see that as well. I'll have to create my first few runs around the new weapons. Going to be great!

@dragospan96 from how I understand it, they mean that armor will have stats that work with multiple build types. For instance, you focus block or dodge. Then there would be gear that will go hand in hand with that build. Like how here are multiple t3 2h swords that either focus crit, block, or stagger.
By using dash to chase down, won't the enemies lose a lot of energy ? In addition they'll be separated from non-dash-user enemies making us gain more time before the non-dash-user arrives. But what'll be difficult is the fact that they'll arrive together and dash more efficiently
@djeronimo306 not sure if they will. They prefer saving being less game breaking. They want your choices to matter, mistakes and all. That way we can't just save before every fight or whatever.
Sounds a bit like i won't be able to tackle dungeons 'prematurely' anymore to mostly clear stuff out in my own pace before getting the contract, so i won't have to worry about a timer chasing me. Well, it was nice to be able to do that 😢 also it saddens me a bit that skinning was shifted to t2.
@bunnyfist4697 Yeah, there are a few changes that might not be as beneficial. But heck, at least we are getting a massive update that changes the whole as we know it. Can't wait to experience it in its entirety.
@@okmallgaming Don't get me wrong, i certainly like most of the tweaks, currently i'm just a bit concerned they might overshoot with the enemy behavior, causing traps and aoe to become relatively useless because every run-of-the-mill thug already refuses to open a door if i placed a trap after closing it and running after me is already a concious effort of every single step that feels to me like each 'turn' takes at least ten seconds of decision, so instead of a feeling of momentum they suddenly avoid the tile i just set aflame right infront of their feet. Apropos 'setting things aflame' i hope they tweaked the oil bottles, i have yet to get my first case where the heightened chance of setting fire to the target actually works, so far it actually never worked in the effects duration in ... probably 40 tries? Long text short: i hope they remembered the average thug needs someone to strategize FOR THEM, while rushing in bulk to the target is much more likely without someone calling the shots.

@MrHeadshot07 the update in December is adding everything listed and more. They have also shared new gear and weapons that haven't been covered in their devlogs.
IMO the equipment you buy should be good enough to fight the enemies you would encounter, with the boss chest rewards being a tier higher. i.e. start game in osbrook and all you can buy is peasant t1 stuff. do a t1 contract and beat peasant t1 enemies that drop t1 loot and have chests with t1 equipment then loot a random t2 equipment from the boss/boss chest/contract...etc. the tier above should be difficult to complete with full set of tier lower equipment, but still possible. t4 boss/boss chest/contract should have like a 10% chance of dropping t5 equipment/artifact. secret rooms could have an item 2 tiers above, t3/t4/t5 having a 1/10/100% chance at t5 equipment/artifact.
40 cooking recipes instead of 37 :O and i told you about the dialogue stuff. new updates will be less tedious for them. that means faster updates for us i think i still hope for a playable elve character but even if we dont get an elve in rags to riches, the rest is so well made. oh, and the december release date is my fault KEKW
@Rhenryie not sure. The current way the game handles seems fine to me. Not sure when you last played, but I've been playing since the equipment 3 update. It's been the same since then.
@@jimmyjigz aye! You could also google a randomizer. I've been doing that lately. I have it select character, then a weapon tree or no weapon tree, then lastly a secondary skill tree or two in case the weapon skill landed on no weapon skills.
@jimmyjigz brace for impact is solid. Does even better with a light chest piece since it's cd is only 4 turns. Elusiveness is also amazing. defense stance is another great one. Best bang for your skill point will be brace for impact though since it's only 1 pt of investment.
@kostadintimov5092 so even steam deck community says it works but controls take a bit of work. I was assuming if steam deck controls worked then controller support shouldn't be to far off.

@sebcjm6523 yeah however they do it, it will be tough to deal with. Especially the spreading out formation. Fights are going to be interesting.

@@okmallgaming personally, I don't try skill tree on them. I analyse how they work. Enemies always acts the same way allowing a certain predictability

Any idea if the old save files gonna be compatible with rags to riches update?
@@RMB_SQUAD they will not. Complete overhaul of the game mechanics so older saves won't work.

t1-2: osbrook NE,
t2-3: mannshire SE,
t3-4: denebrie SW,
t4-5: Rotton Willow NW,
Equipment availability:
t1: osbrook,
t1-2: mannshire,
t1-3: denibre,
t1-4: brynn,
t5: t5 dungeons

@jimmyjigz do what plan on, pick a build that will allow you to test the new weapons. Either daggers, 2h sword or 2h mace build.
