Great idea for an off-season story. Make it a recurring segment. Review the 2024 portal class (top 25 or so) and revisit in a couple years to see how their careers developed.
I feel like it was missed that the reason To’o To’o, Eric Gray, and Wanya Morris was pretty much bc they were asked to leave amid the Pruitt allegations… in other words, they were the recipients of the happy meal specials and Tennessee was tryna wipe their slate clean lol
I had English class with Tykee Smith back my freshman year. I remember I walked into class on the first day and saw him and I thought to myself “where have I seen you before?” Few mins roll call he gets called and I was like oh shit
Gilbert had ridiculous talent. The yards and TDs he had were in only 8 games and in 5 of those games he had 2 true freshman QBs throwing him the ball. When our 4th year junior was throwing him the ball in the first 3 games he had 16 catches for 177 yards and 2 TDs. With that QB (who ultimately ended up injured), he was on pace for 53 receptions, 590 yards and 7 TDs in a 10 game SEC schedule and no OOC cupcakes to pad stats. Those numbers would have broken every SEC record for a freshman TE, in history.
Remember the day's when a player wanted to transfer, it cost them a year of eligibility. Nowadays you have player's like Dillon Gabriel, who seems like he's been playing college ball for 6 to 8yrs lol
Coach O had a hand in puhing those kids out. I remember he said he would always treat his players likke they were family. Suddenly he achieved fame and couldnt handle it.
Nah. Arizona Gilbert was a legit headcase. He quit playing for LSU 8 games into the season. Dude was on pace for breaking the SEC freshman TE receiving yards record.
I don’t know 🤷🏾♂️ something isn’t right with Bowman….He is unbelievably fast strong Fr Fr I think it’s mental he forgot who he is…on paper he may be the best back ever out the county yet he barely sniffs the field.
You spelled Tyrique Stevenson's name incorrectly, and he didn't really have an "underwhelming" season in 2023. Pretty much everyone agreed he was one of the best man coverage guys in the draft and tackle totals are not really that relevant.
Wanna know how bad of a coach Jeremy Pruitt was? 2020 Vols were garbage with 3 wins, and Pruitt is fired. Then all of the best player leave the next year Heupel took them to a bowl with a top 10 offense with the players that were left
What topic should I do next? Should I continue this series?
Have you ever thought of collaborating with Harris Highlight? HE covers college football really well like you do.
Georgia really had Brock Bowers, Darnell Washington, and Arik Gilbert in their tight end room at one point lol
I wish Arik Gilbery panned out. They could have ran a 3 tight end set and wrecked havoc against smaller teams
@@rocketsfan05but instead he caused havoc for his local vape shop 😔
Well arik gilbert, all in all, was a certified scub
13 Personnel all game and still get 300+ passing yards 😂
@@tylerseger6718no he wasnt he shouldve stayed at Lsu

Exactly what I was thinking! Why that wasn't mentioned is ridiculous.

Let the internet tell it they don’t attend class
Remember Eli Ricks getting toasted by LSU in 2022. Would love a 2022 version of this vid.

This is an awesome video!! Part 2 please!!
5 out of these 10 prospects either are from Georgia, committed to UGA or transferred from UGA. 😅
Side note: Damn Arik Gilbert smh.
No one rlly transferred from UGA aside from Arik but UGA was his second spot
Arik is one of the greatest TE prospects I’ve ever seen I’m still shocked this dude didn’t panned out smh
Yea he has mental issues that took over and controlled him
Luv this vid, think its a great topic to cover.
This should have been labeled “Top 10 portal transfers from Tennessee” 😂
Tennessee had 40 guys hit the transfer portal that year. And Alabama is freaking out a few guys are leaving this year…
Alabama players are different than Tennessee players
A potential video idea could be what went wrong with the 2020 gators. Idk I’m just a gators fan 😂
Mullen stopped recruiting. Treated 2020 as a “last dance” sort of run.
Don't feel bad for the Volunteers. We had Pruitt as our coach. Something had to give, just turns out it was happy meals.

A lot of Georgia and Clemson on this list.
Arik Gilbert wasted his talent
Arik had issues that he couldn’t control and unfortunately will be a lifelong problem
Eric grey has been disappointing playing behind saquon in the nfl but wandale has been amazing
The transfer portal and NIL has ruined college football
What’s the background music called ?
🤔
A lot of ties to the state of Georgia
Damn we lost a lot of good players that year but iss ok we still played hella good after they left they didn’t affect us
Gilbert didn’t decommit from Florida, they couldn’t admit him into the school lol
Bowman should have went to UF to begin with. He would have started as a freshman or saw good amount of time. Smh.
I don’t know 🤷🏾♂️ something isn’t right with Bowman….He is unbelievably fast strong Fr Fr I think it’s mental he forgot who he is…on paper he may be the best back ever out the county yet he barely sniffs the field.
Fuck em😊

Those guys At Tennessee didn’t leave for a bigger school. They had to leave due to Pruitt being a terrible coach and cheating.
Never feel bad for Tennessee. They're literally the worst fan base in the worst state in the country.
Yeah ok buddy we’re only bad because other fan bases are bitches to us so control your fans and we will control our Mk we got a deal
get a better mic bro
