Saved to rewatch from time to time! Very valuable insights, important to remember that we need involve all the employees, because a good idea can be in anywhere, and when you do the opportunity to someone execute something that he believes, he will engage, he will do it from heart!

In this crowded space of ideas, if you can come out of thing useful out of a speech then the speech is great and was worth the time, and this one was worth it!

Time shows that he was wrong saying that innovation was only for the long term... but everything else is awesome in this video

He speaks out the reality we face today. When a new idea is generated, some say that it is not your profession, even the project is developed. They dump it or ...... Thank you.

True. And lot of fantastic discoveries and patents came from people who were actually not related to the field. Yet investors prefer that you have an PhD from the field, a proven track record in the industry, 15 years of experience and be in your early thirties 😂

sure made the sentence "hire people based on passion not on skills" sound easy as if there's a scale to weigh how passionate a person is when you hire them. Like oh hey heres a passion calculator and if u pass this well hire you! Anyone can act passionate but not anyone can act like they have the skills. Good points other than that throughout the video though

You can read passion if you have it yourself. I believe if you don’t have anything you’re passionate about, you can’t see it in others. Therefore, it would require you to have open-mindedness. If you’re not open-minded, it’s going to be very difficult for you to give these people a chance.

Eight years later, all the big corporations are still here, currently in the race with AI. If anyone doesn't get a chance with innovations it's small companies and startups.

I don’t get it. If innovation is not about bright ideas, processes and KPIs, then how did they exist in the first place ? Are u saying they just magically appear from the wand of Harry Potter ? Ultimately, it is the people with passion who produce them. What u talking about ??? 🤔

Hire passionate people and let them do what they think is the most valuable for the organization? Lost me at this point. Also, passion is great but competency is key.
