Funny you should ask - yesterday I got to see one of my very first mould injection parts come off the factory floor - super exciting. The top section components should be ready to start shipping in about a month (stage 1). The base components (stage 2) will follow a couple of months after that. The best thing is that you'll be able to mix and match with DIY components, so even if you start with DIY parts, you'll be able to swap them out with factory parts to get better performance down the track.

This is brilliant, I feel like a piece of aluminum tube would work better than the PVC as it would have more weight to it so the bar would come back faster. I'm going to make one of these tomorrow! Thanks for the videos!
Maybe. But the pvc pipe is also fast enough

Love your videos. I decided to make one of these as well as a Cobra bar ( not finished). The instructions are simple . One thing I noticed was there are different schedules of PVC. I bought a section that was too thick to make the bearing insert. . I guess schedule 30 would be thinner and better. I also noticed the blog says about 20 inches in length. The video, you mentioned 31 inches. I did the 31 inch length and it was perfect. I went cheap (not recommended ) on the suction cup mounts. So now I’m ordering the ones you recommended. I’m also using a 22mm screw in collar clamp just below the bearings. It took some of the vibration out along with the speed bag on top. It’s a great, affordable, and easy spar bar. I can’t thank you enough. Now I’m gunna order the spring from your site for the Cobra bar. Take care!

I built one. Excellent stuff. I wonder if it I could put a large foam tube over the metal tubes in order to perform (really light) body shots. Has anyone thought of this?
Exactly my thought, maybe 2 pads on the side for some sweet sweet hooks to the side
If you want more speed to the bar you could add some weight on both sides like fill the pipes with sand or something
This spar bar is better than in n commercial products

Adjust the height to be that of an average human and put a kick pad on under the rotating bar and you've got a decent analog for a human being and it would make a decent Kali/Arnis/Escrima training aid or just weapon sparing aid in general!

Hey can we use 6005 ZZ ball bearing to make this SparBar?
I Just made this.works perfect. Only one small problem there are is a little wobbling up and down between the two hose clamps. the one that is around the bearing and the other that is attached to the pvc pipe
Awesome! Try tightening the hose clamps as much as possible. You can also use a third clamp between the other two which should make the connection more rigid 👌
@@Kewlus or put some tape on the top of the clamp that is attached to the pvc pipe?
Try it and let us know what works best for you
@@Kewlus I used a third small clamp next to the other one and a bigger and thicker clamp around the bearing.now it's mire solid with minimum bounce.
@@lakiskrystal7381 I also used 2 clamps on pvc and that worked a lot better.

Does 25mm bearing fit to 3/4 inch pipe?
not quite - just misses by 1 mm or so - I tried it
Are you using cPVC for inside the ball bearing? PVC does not fit around the pipe no matter how much you remove.
Yes I cut out a section of it lengthwise then it fits
Reedy Kewlus I went and bought a section of 3/4” cPVC because 3/4” PVC did not work. The 3/4” cPVC didn’t fit either. I am going to try 1”cPVC next but if that doesn’t work, I might have to figure something else out like using your older builds
1” cPVC didn’t fit either. It was the closest though.
I suspect the inner diameter of the ball bearing linked on the website is different than the one you have.

How long is the PVC pipe? Website says 20” but that’s too short.
Long side I have 20 inches, short side about 10 inches, so total is 30 inches

That must be the thinnest inner pvc pipe I’ve ever seen. All the sizes I’ve tried with are thick and do not bend like that lol
Which pipe are you referring to that I bend?
I am finding the same thing. Did you find the solution? I am thinking he used cPVC for the inner ball bearing. Only other explanation is the aluminum bar size OD for the 1/2” pipe is smaller on his. I have everything else built except for that.
3/4” cPVC didn’t work either. Going to try 1” cPVC next time I can go to the hardware store.
Not sure if anyone else has found other solutions for this bearing (using the one linked in the website)
@@Kewlus The PVC pipe that prevents the ball bearing from moving. Here in the states the inside is THICK. No matter how little you cut it you can’t bend it like you are in the video and it doesn’t fit through the ball bearing and the steal pipe
@@jakestowers3176 hahah I’ve tried the same. It doesn’t work. Best bet is electrical tape but that’s annoying and it still wobbles.

Why different sizes of steel pipes instead of one long 25mm pipe? And maybe last piece with 1/2 pipe.

@@Kewlus maybe it's harder to find 1 to 1/2 inch reduction,or you need reduction to 3/4 then 1/2 and then 1/2 connection. So anything will work 😁

Check your ball bearing to make sure nothing is causing friction. If you post a video so I can see I might be able to provide further advice. Without seeing it makes it hard to know what might be causing it to stall.
