    I've worked out on traditional heavy bags ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxp9-sf95nqfjey-uyzxUzQ7m9MXRPK1BE a spherical stuffed "wrecking ball" bag, and now this thing. What I like about it is that it has the heft to stay largely in place so I'm not chasing it around. It's tall enough to allow for headshots and body shots, but it's short enough to give an uppercut somewhere to land. I'm very happy so far. Filling it was a bit of a cluster. For top-offs, I've learned that you can screw the supplied nozzle onto any basic plastic water bottle. I can't speak to durability as I've only had it a week.

    This design is awesome! It will be perfect for boxing in my small rental space, and be portable as well. It solves all the problems of a hanging heavy bag or commercial stand bag with the awkward sand-filled base. 🥊💛🥊

    Looks great. Fantastic solution. Can you show how best to hang this say from a ceiling that can't take much weight eg shed etc. This would be ideal where you can't hang a heavy bag but still need something durable to punch and work with. TIA

Might b able to find it or I may just use contractor trash bags? I have this circle rock with a hold in it. Least I think I do? Lol. I'm planning on using that for a bace it I can cuz it's heavy but, not sure how it would stay in place bcuz it's pretty short? Maybe use that as the weight? Thanks again! An God bless!

    I made a weights bench from scrap hard wood my nephew brings home. Brackets were like $14, painted it black and covered it with a black rubber like mat I got at Bunnings for $4 a roll. I made it after pricing weights benches. Farking outrageous. Could buy a nice sofa for what they ask for a decent bench. If you want to be robbed price foam rubber at Clark Rubber. 1 metre long length bench width they wanted $68. Bench cost me like $30.......

    Instead of a plastic wrap, I think I'd go with Burlap, or a tough material
    that would be more durable. And for the Pole---I would go a bit of a
    Fancier route; I would use a Galvanized steel rod, incorporating one
    of those 'Springs' you can buy at the Hardware stores. Then I would
    attach the Spring to the Pole using my innovation, ingenuity, and
    thereby apply the Same to attach Pole and Spring to the Base.

  • @OsmiumFist
    @OsmiumFist 3 роки тому +2

    Why don't you make a base out of concrete. A bag of ready mix is only a few bucks. Use a washing bucket, those broad buckets that are about 6 inches tall. You can also make a bag out of an old roll of carpet or a large rug. Or use the rug as the core and pool noodles around it.

    • @Kewlus
      @Kewlus  3 роки тому +3

      I actually have made one from concrete, mixing cement and sand and using a plant saucer for the mould. I found it was too messy to use indoors and I would need to paint it to stop the concrete from chipping away. All in all it actually worked out cheaper (and far better quality) just to buy a concrete umbrella stand from Bunnings! What I like about these DIY bases that I made from the MDF boards is that they are super easy to put away. The water containers are easy to pick up and move around - and I can use them for weight training. Concrete bases are 20kg dead weight and are a real pain in the butt to move.

    Hey mate, been following your video, how well does it stand up to kicks?
    Would love to see a build that was suitably strong for both kicks & punches, if you have any ideas in the old think tank. I was eyeing off an old desk chair base with wheels the other day...
    Keep it up.

    • @Kewlus
      @Kewlus  3 роки тому

      Thanks mate 🤙. I’m not that good at kicking these days but this one stands up ok because it’s able too absorb the shock due to the flex in the mast. I recon you should make it from waist height up so that it could flex more easily. Then it should be even better for kicks.
