This was super helpful man. I've been trying to figure out how to make a cheap cobra reflex bag. My old slow (bottom spring) Everlast reflex bag is old, rusted, beat to death. I'm still using it but it's basically a little bit of metal and 85% tape holding it together.
This is pretty funny. I've thought about doing this years ago with those springs you see on garage doors. They come in multiple sizes and are typically 3 to 4 feet. Turns out they're either the same or more expensive than the power twisters lol. Edit: Damn, it turned out sooooo much better than I thought. Great job dude 👍🏽!
I love this mate. Finally someone online that uses metric!! The only thing that would make this video perfect is chowing down on a Bunnings hot dog at the end. No chance of that happening any time soon though. Stay safe out there mate. Love your vids. Keep them coming!
Thank you!!!😂 🤣🤣🤣 yeah I’ve also just gone on a plant diet so unfortunately those yummy hotdogs I loved soooo much are out for me. I’ll have to film it once they are back though- just the feet of the crowds lining up 🤣🤣🤣
Love this build, best way to upgrade it I can think of is to somehow safely make it so you can safely hit something as small as a tennis ball. Like you said, the smaller the target the more accuracy you need. I got it just drill a hole the size of a pole and some tennis balls and slide them on there in random locations
I really like the idea of that kind of feedback and having to move from a punching bag. The pool noodles seem to be about the right kind of size to make sure you're accurate. The different colors could definitely be good for zones of practice. Actually what I want to do is take that same build but bring the spring a little bit lower and use it for my Filipino stick practice. I think you're really onto something and I'd love to see the full build you come up with.
I did do the build for both the toilet paper roll in the past and the volleyball. Both of them turned out all right but didn't seem like they would last because the PVC finally cracked after maybe the 20th time I used it.
Yeah I think opens up a whole lot of possibilities. I’ll need to put some thought into the bottom section height adjustment so that I can test all different kinds of options. I’m also still keen to try it with a ball. Stay tuned brother 🤙🙌
Man, you're legit. I've been wanting to get all this equipment but it's so damn expensive. Nice job! I have a cobra timing bag but I got bored and experimented around with various universal and pivot joints that I had lying about to try to mimic the synovial joints of the body. More specifically, I experimented with a parallel angled offset to the cobra neck (the parallel offset is achieved with two pvc angle joints connected by a short length of pvc pipe a universal joint can be attached to this. The net effect is to create a timing bag that mimics the erratic head, arm and kick movements of an opponent. This rotating offset can be placed above or below the spring to produce different effects. It can be flipped upside down. All are useful for training. In my case, I have it set up so that I can swap out straight and offset sections to get different motion from the same basic cobra. You seem like a curious and capable guy. I’m sure that if you gave this idea a try, you could perfect it into something really useful.
What happens when you add the offset with the pivot joint is that the offset and anything that is attached above it can freely rotate in a circle about the vertical axis. So when you punch the bag this swiveling action adds side to side and front to back movement on top of the front to back movement caused by the spring, the overall effect is to simulate the effect of a moving and punching opponent. Try it yourself and you will see.

I get these at my local Bunnings which is a big hardware store chain in Australia
Hey Bob (Reedy) I Purchased A 30kg/66lbs Power Twister From Amazon.. & It Seems Too Stiff Upon My Initial Inspection. Upon Further Watching This Video And Looking A Bit Closer, It Appears You’re Using A Power Twister In The 20kg Range. Can You Let Me Know If I’m Correct Or Are My Eyes Not That Good At Working ?!?? Thanks
It’s a 30kg one
@@Kewlus Okay Then… I’ll Have To Finish It To See How Well It Operates Once It’s All Done. And Hopefully That’ll Work While I Wait On My Kewlus Cobra Bag (Pre Ordered) Full Kit To Come In. Thanks Haas... Keep Up The Great Work !!! 💯💪🏽🥊
Good luck with the build brother 🤞👍🤙
HAVE BOTH 30 AND 40 KILOS.40 IS TO STIFF.30 WORKS FINE.WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT 20 KILOS POWER TWISTER? MAYBE WOULD WORK BETTER?
30kg is the one I tried and it worked quite good. I think 20kg might be too slow.
Looks great, Im looking to build this one myself. For the power twister what would you recommend could i go even higher than 30/40kg or is 30/40 the best.
I tried 50kg and it was too stiff. Go with 30 or 40kg.
Dude, did you build your house?
😂 🤣🤣🤣

He planted the trees, he cut the trees into plywood and 2x4's,
he made his own shingles,
he made his own glass windows
he spun his own silk and grew his own cotton to make his own fabric, to make his own clothes,
he planted all his food
he built his own cell phone

I almost watched all your videos. Just want to ask for the size of the GI pipe, is it 1 1/2 or 1 1/4 inch? Thanks
Not sure which pipe you’re referring to, but in most cases it’s the 3/4 inch pipe. Also check my website DIY posts: kewlus.com/blogs/diy
@@KewlusPipe for the base. Thanks
For this beauty... I have subbed...
Hi bro, What happen if i buy this thing but in 20kg? Is it less speed?
It would be ok if the top section is light. Might be a little slower than 30kg
Yo reedy please reply if u can, Will the power spring be used for the adjustable one? Because I need to order one and I am looking forward to build the adjustable one
Yes brother 👌
