Three bedrooms for $5,800 is a real-world price, but $17,000 for four bedrooms is in some fantasy universe. If you had that kind of money, you could afford a million-dollar place in the suburbs and pay to be chauffeured to work every day.
Right? That's $210,000 _per year._ Almost a quarter million dollars. You could, for that price, buy six houses in Oklahoma or Arkansas if you know where to look.

$17,000 is absolutely ridiculous. That place is not worth 17k. These landlords are making up insane numbers out of thin air! They’re trying to normalize these straight up robbery prices.
They calculate the price per sq ft. So it depends on that price.
There is no way to justify $17,000 a month for THIS apartment. Regardless of the square footage. This landlord is just greedy.
The vast amount of empty millionaire flats littered throughout the entire city consequently raises the property value for all the surrounding properties, which in turn creates unimaginably unaffordable rental prices across the board. It makes literally NO sense that the U.S. government makes it legal for entities/people to purchase the scare amount of buildings that are in the city just for the sole purpose of selling multi-million dollar flats that inevitably will not get sold for years and years and years until a rich millionaire who can afford it sees it and wants to buy it for some reason or another. The U.S. government NEEDS TO LISTEN TO ITS CITIZENS and take fucking action by stepping in (JUST LIKE TEDDY ROSEVELT ONCE HAD TO DO) and placing very, very tight-grip limitations on this form of Capitalism that's been absolutely ripping apart America's housing markets for majority of its masses in the lower and middle classes or else our country's entire social structure will be slowly reduced to the conditions that are suffered by people who live in communist countries where simple necessities such as housing, food, and medical care is scarce. It's a domino effect we have to force our leaders to recognize and change immediately for our own survival and quality of life.
Imagine paying almost 5k per month and still having to live with four roommates. And the view isn't even good. For 3k a month you can get a one bedroom in the same area that actually has an amazing view and no need for roomates!

Whaddup, Charles! Hmm... The first 3/bed at $5800/month was okay. Although I could only think, "Chop! Chop! Chop!". Its real redeeming quality for me was that it was across the street from a museum. The 4/bed, 3 1/2/bath, at $17K/month is a no. I just can't imagine paying that type of money in RENT for someplace to live. While the rooms are large, I just didn't see the value. But... I LOVED those herringbone wood floors!!! YESSIREE!!! The $9500/month was much better, but I think one could get "more" at that price point minus that beautiful wood flooring, but you never know. I liked the $3K/month one bed. It felt cozy and while I wished the bath were a tad bit larger, I could work with it. You do get to have that outdoor space to compensate.

The electrical outlet by the stove is where you plug in your stick blender. Seriously! When you're making something that needs to be blended, such as a sauce or a soup, that's PERFECT.
The pricier building was lovely, but who makes the $17k+/month or even $9.5k/month to rent that? Wouldn't they prefer to buy something instead? If you've got multiple folks, they can live on their own for that kind of money.
That last apartment needs work from the landlord, but given where it is and what it's got, that's a decent rent.

That two bedroom at 9k was SO much better than the 17k. Outdoor space included at 3k is great for the area and seemed pretty nice. You could add a drying rack outside and do laundry old school on nice days! Probably not bad for a young DINK couple. The 6k 3/bed was probably best price/value if you can get roommates. As a single family though, if you are starting to see only 4k+ for rent with your preferences and you can afford that, I'd start looking at buying or reconsidering my preferences.
Yeah. I noticed that Charles called it a three bed with an office. Cash said there were two beds on one side and two on the other. The small one must not be a bedroom but must be the office.

He amended it.. by having to print over the video.If you listened to what he said he didn’t actually say that it was an office, he had to fix it.He said there were two bedrooms at that end of the apartment after he talked about the other two . Listen to what he said at around the 1:32 mark.That is where he messed up. And then in his description of the Office. He isn’t describing it as an office,even though Charles said there was an office. He only describes it as the smallest room.

New York has suites at $2500 per night at multiple hotels so no you wouldn’t stay at the nicest hotel for 30 days a month for $17k.

For future reference, that flooring in the $$17,000is apt is laid in a chevron pattern. Herringbone is rectangular slats, while chevron has 45 degree angled edges. Love the vids man

Here we go...I loved the size of that bedroom in the 1st apartment. Now that's a bedroom. So tired of seeing the 8X10 not much bigger than a jail cell. That $17 5K apartment? Seriously you expect me to live in a walk-up for that kind of $$$? Nah son. I need a private elevator for that kind of amount. The wood floors were nice & the kitchen appliances were high end but still part of the living room. I know shower rooms are the latest thing in premium renovations & new builds but the claw foot tubs looked cheap. The rest of the bathroom is modern so where a modern feel tub. & the long medicine cabinets are something I've never seen before but really I don't need to see myself sitting on the toilet. The smaller 2 bedroom at $9500 was better but still overpriced. Where's all the building amenities? Oh wait, there are none. The 1 bedroom was kinda cute but I'm so not a fan of the bathroom right in the kitchen area. At least it had a nice patio area & a reasonable rent. Nice seeing Charles tho & thankfully we can count on him to not show apartments like yesterday's disaster!
