The Matrix having all the agents armed with them and the slow motion Smith VS Neo "You're empty" "So are you."
Also Arnold Schwarzenegger in Commando seem like some of the main 90s contributors that made the Desert Eagle as iconic as Dirty Harry's 44 Magnum
If I may make a recommendation, Rave, check out the Iconic Arms series made by the channel Ahoy. He can answer the question you had in the beginning as to why the .50AE Desert Eagle is so iconic.
I'll check them out!
Desert eagle popularity was all marketing. They aggressively marketed it to movie and TV studios to get placement in shows and movies that existed well before CoD. Commando, predator 2, even the first season of Miami vice. And it was in OG counterstrike back when it was a half life mod and is where the term "deagle" was coined.
Also, there is no such thing as a silencer. It is a hollywood fabrication. In reality they are suppressors and it suppresses the report. Though if you use hypersonic rounds it will not suppress the sonic boom (crack) the bullet makes when it breaks the sound barrier.
Definitely helps that it’s such a large and quite powerful pistol making it a much easier selling point especially for tv and movies where even before it fires you get the sensation that it’s gonna hit like a freight train just from how it looks.
In reference to body armor; I bought my body armor just incase I need to go somewhere that's not so safe.
The one I can just wear under whatever since it's essentially a shirt with plate inserts. Then the other I keep at home just incase.
As for firearms since I'm talking body armor, the next one I'm going for is a 500 magnum. I have a Beretta 9mm, a 357 revolver, a 1911, an AR, a 12ga, and a 22lr.
Luckily I live in a state that allows all this lol.
He has a second channel called Kentucky Customers of anything that has wheels
Suppressors change the rate of expanding gas leaving the gun. With a normal barrel, it's just big quick explosion. With a suppressor, as the bullet enters, there's chambers for the gas to expand into, slowing it down, or other mechanisms, to slow down the gasses.
Another video I would like to see your reaction to is the "Medieval Weapons vs. Modern Armor" video KB did. If you do, I suggest also watching the reply videos by Skallagrim and Shadiversity.
oh now that would be cool!
0:53 He has done a full episode Of introductions of x year. Which are funny to watch all the introductions one after another.😀
That’s my bundle sticks word.
nah playing the ultimate game of cops and robbers in the woods
Can...can I join?
@@RaveSpecterReacts-qr5uy i don't see why not
Suppressed weapons are harder to trace by sound as well. Where if a normal unsuppressed shot the sound waves are pretty focused in one direction, a suppressor dissipates the sound waves in all sorts of directions making locating a shooter by sound much harder
You should watch Ahoy's video on the Desert Eagle! Ahoy is so good! He does the history of weapons and their history in media. I also like his M1911 video!
The entire point of the Desert Eagle was to you can shoot powerful magnum rounds out of a magazine fed pistol. Magnum rounds are already iconic and powerful as they are the rounds shot out of big ass revolvers, which are iconic on their own. That, combined with its hefty, instantly recognizable design and infamy with actual gun experts made it a natural choice for being a go-to hand cannon in fiction.
Similar reasons why the SPAS-12 is so famous as well, and they share a lot in common. Both are cool, intimidating looking weapons that are popular in fiction but ended up fairly impractical IRL. As cool as the Deagle is, it's design has issues.
For instance, because of how the slide is formed, whenever you fire and it moves back, it creates a vacuum and sucks in dust and dirt around it, and the gun really doesn't like getting dirty. So that cool looking slide is actually a lackluster design choice.
There is also a video with suppressed 500 magnum in Kentucky ballistics
$200 for a chronograph (cheap model) but compare that to those $3000 (approximate) zombie torsos, wonder if Scott gets a bulk discount.
3:00 Well when Robocop is spinning a Desert Eagle on his finger. It tends to stick in your memory. 😎👍
Imagine the tax collectors reaction when he gets to Scott’s paperwork and it just lists a small army’s worth of firearms lol.
I bought body armor out of preparedness.
Body armor : cab drivers ,delivery drvers, security guards, Body guards, e.m.s. responders depending on the city and ' hood .
better safe than sorry so makes sense
@RaveSpecterReacts-qr5uy true when I was a cab driver about a year before one got murdered over the path of the fare . He had two young kids & a wife so..
How did it get it so popular? 2 words:
Fortnite's Magnum
It tells you all you need to know. Their magnum is based on the eagle.
Edit about a minite later: I just realized its literally just fortnites suppressed pistol/stealth pistol.
Kentucky ballistics the Golden gun please react to it.
