In reality, this tank was built for one reason, to break through the anti tank line. Not go fight the war. It didn't need to do anything else, so it just needs an engine that can get them a few miles. The movie Kelly's Heros is a Clint Eastwood movie that shows what a unit in ww2 did to steal gold from the Germans.
Exactly and since it'd probably be supporting infantry like the Churchill they could've thought it didn't need to be any faster than a man could walk.

Biggest weakpoint of tanks in battle is the tracks. Once those get blown off you are a sitting duck. If the tank turns to one side while the tracks are ripping off, you are facing "somewhere" just not where the enemy is. I believe that would have happened.
That's also the reason why tanks like those have always been used as dug-in mobile artillery. They litterally hid behind a hill of dirt to protect the tracks and suprise the enemy.
Nah. When you flip a T28/95, you get that message from Halo 3 when you flip an Elephant: "Hold [action] to... Wait, what? How'd you do that?!"
Why did I use two numbers for the Doom Turtle (a modern nickname that originated in World of Tanks) when TFE used one? Well, during development, there was debate on what it actually would be in Army doctrine. Some thought it would be a heavy tank, thanks to its thick armor, while others were certain it would be a self-propelled gun due to its lack of a turret. Thing was, both product lines had gone through different numbers of projects (denoted in US Army parlance with a T#; M# is used for equipment that has been greenlit for standard production).
When the Doom Turtle was classified as a heavy tank, it was the 28th heavy tank project. However, when it was an SPG, it was the 95th project for such. Hence, T28 or T95. The project ended during a heavy tank phase, so the T28 designation is the one that stuck.
World of Tanks and War Thunder would both take advantage of both this and the unique tread configuration to put the tank in the games twice... in (nearly) exactly the same way: T28 is used for the transport mode with outer tracks removed, while T95 is used for battle mode with outer tracks attached.

my bad the Zeus is 80 tons I was thinking of the Banshee which is 95 tons
fat electrician got a small mix up as the T28 is the slightly lighter version with less armor on the sides and only 2 tracks and the t95 is the one with 4 tracks
when it comes to tanks there is the iron triangle principal armor,firepower,mobility. it's all about finding the balance of the three because if you want more of 1 thing something has to be sacrificed turtle sacrifices mobility for armor and firepower because it is an assault gun it doesn't need mobility if it's fighting a target that can't move it just needs armor to "tank" the big, emplaced guns and it needs firepower to deal with reinforced concrete bunkers. hope this helps you understand tanks a bit more.
