If you didn't recognize it, that last gun he shot is the very same one that exploded in his face and almost killed him. So you can understand his hesitation to be anywhere near it when he shoots it.
If I remember correctly it’s not quite the exact same rifle, it is the exact same type of rifle but not the same gun. Scott has actually bought quite a few serbu .50 cals at this point with one of the reasons being he has a bit of habit of breaking them (not counting the one that exploded).
My dear sir, if you like revolvers, look up any revolver video by Jerry Miculek. he’s been a sponsored pro-shooter by Smith and Wesson since 1975 or 76. He’s awesome. I just remembered Bob Munden as well. He was really well known for fast draws and having one of the fastest trigger fingers.

To answer one of your questions, from what I've found the reason the safari forum guys hate Scott is just plain snobbery. They think that those safari rifles deserve immense respect and are far too "refined" for such low-brow and "disrespectful" things as having fun with them. They believe that they should be used exclusively for the "art" of safari hunting. In other words they're a bunch of joyless rich pricks that are mad that Scott's is actually having fun with his guns, instead of just using it to show off how rich you are and never actually shooting the thing for fear of scratching it and "devaluing" it.
I didn't know the backstory of this despite having watched Kentucky for awhile at this point but I was pretty damn sure what you said was what it was lmao. Based on purely having been around various "clubs or groups" that behaved very similarly lol.

Buddy I'm 5 ft 7 145 lb I can tell you what 500 magnum don't worry about it hitting your face worry about it bruising the palm of your hand I had a buddy of mine shoot it and it broke his wrist and he's way bigger than me so yeah the 500 magnum is no joke

As an owner of that exact .500 magnum the bark is WAY worse than its bite. Most would probably be able to handle it with proper form.
