I've never understood why people think it's a good idea to tell others how to collect and hate on how others decide to spend their own money. It truly baffles me.
I just started collecting in 2020.. I’m rebuying all the books I owned as a kid now as an adult.. Im not considered a real collector nowadays.. but I have an awesome collection.. I’m bald too 😂 let’s go!! Keep with your videos coming
Sadly, Social Media has made it easy and acceptable to "hate" and criticize others for their likes and dislikes. Everyone has this mindset that what they believe is the only way to believe. People can't personally handle or deal with anyone who doesn't think and believe so they mentally can't deal so they have to lash out to feel some sense of superiority. Our society is comprised of individuals with their own minds... we have grown as a society on all levels because of individuals who don't think like others, who swim the opposite direction. Looking through history, some of the biggest tragedies are due to people who have chosen to follow others because they are incapable of thinking for themselves. Most of these people "hating" and criticizing others likely lead sad, sorry, miserable lives and get their self worth from bringing others down... They make themselves look ridiculous! I love your Channel, love your content... YOU are an awesome human being... do not give over YOUR control to anyone else by feeding into their B.S.!!!!
It's not Social Media itself that does that. It's the people who abuse the use of Social Media, taint the values of entertainment and comfort, and disregard the Bill of Rights just so they can harass people who are "WOKE". And when they get angry, they harass Jews, Mexicans, Asians and Blacks as a form of petty vengeful madness. Just ask George Floyd, the Attack on the White House, or those two Asian couple at an In-n-Out Burger Joint.
Amazing video!👍👏 I just began my comic book collection and found Toon Haven. They have an incredible range of digital comics for every genre, including the hard to find ones. Lifetime updates too!😁
I have been a comic book collector for 52 years I’ve always collected for the covers. I find them incredible don’t do much reading due to the fact that I am dyslexic and Comics tend to be very challenging so I agree we shouldn’t be exclusive to the hobby, we should be inclusive.
I quit reading much after the 1970s. I'm a comic art guy. Seriously, how many times can you read about the hero fights bad guy, wins, occasionally a character dies but not the main character that pays the bills...
I totally agree with you brother, the one thing that the comic book community has always had is the gate keepers. If you don't collect like they collect or collect what they collect then your not a real "comic book collector". They don't realize that their gate keeping is exactly what keeps new collectors from joining the hobby or chases those that have recently started collecting away from the hobby. To those individuals I say if someone wants to collect new modern incentive and store exclusive covers that introduce new characters, what business is it of yours? If it makes someone happy to collect those books or to speculate on books based on what new film or show is coming out that is their business, get over it. Stop being a gate keeper. Thanks for this video brother and for touching on this subject that most comic book UA-camrs do not like to touch.
I've read every book that I've ever obtained...but that's just me. Thousands and thousands of raw books..and when I get slabs, I find a way to read the story. While certain aspects of just key flipping keep me at arms length from some "collectors" I try to be as welcoming as possible. If someone is JUST in it for the money, driving the cost of certain things up for die hard run collectors and years long hobbyists I definitely see the disdain and can't blame anyone for feeling a certain way about it. Personally, after losing an EXTREMELY valuable and very very large PC about 8 years ago.... I've gotten back to what I originally loved about comics. Reading them. Enjoying the art. Conditions no longer much of an issue unless I happen upon books that are already well protected and the price is no different than the bin prices im paying now. I still respect the hobby, not going to let sharp books go to pot, Im just no longer interested in seeking that stuff out. Very liberating. In any case.... people are going to collect how they collect. If everyone could be a bit more mindful of the next collector everyone would be happier. Im never going to take cheap shots at someone just because I may not agree with their methods...im too busy reading AWESOME comic books!!
Lots of things are like this. From software’s games are like this. Pokémon is like this. I personally think some gatekeeping is fine if one is honestly just trying to protect the thing they love from becoming something they don’t. I don’t expect others will feel this way but I’ve seen a lot of the things I once loved decay into hot garbage.
I WISH my wife would let me display my comics on the wall !!! Mine are all neatly boxed and organized but stuck in my closet. I take them out to "organize" them just so I can look at them again. Now to be honest , I don't read many newer books but only because I haven't had extra income due to being on SSDI, but I still love my books. And I have multiple copies of LOTS of them. Back in the 80's , when I collected a ton of titles ( and read them all ) I always bought multiple copies of books that I loved , whether it was a 1st appearance , a great story , or just a cover that I loved. I was never a huge fan of graphic novels or Omnibus's but everyone is different. I remember selling off some extra copies of key books ( when times got tough) and I remember keeping all the direct issues , because I thought they looked better than having a book with a bar code on it. Who would've thought that the "newsstand" craze would come around decades later. My philosophy was always " collect what you love and enjoy it " , and if it ends up being worth something , that's just a bonus. At least you still have a book that you enjoy !! Ignore the haters and just keep being YOU. Everyone is different and collects for their own reasons and in their own way. New sub here !!!
I started reading what ever my older brother brought into the house. Adventure comics, Phantom, Archie ect. When I was able to get my own I started reading FF, spider,Thor, avengers, ghost rider. Then In high school I stopped. Started collecting the books I had about. 15 years ago. Just for the artwork and as a hobby, you know for fun.
Whenever you started to discover and then love comic books does not matter to me. I like when someone new comes into the hobby and discovers how much variety this incredible hobby has. I like Goose's channel and he gives an honest opinion of what he sees. I don't have to agree with everything that a person says to enjoy their content. Just like comic books, I like variety in everything. And I think he has an incredible wall of books that any collector would love to have. The statues are cool too. I've been collecting for decades and so I welcome you to our community of which you are a member.
Who cares what others think if you want to collect then collect. Don’t matter if you’re new or old to collecting. Just do what makes you happy. Display your comics as you want. It’s yours.
Brother, I watch your videos all the time, I like the fact you are part of the community. However, I think there is a part of me that can understand why you get some of the comments you get. Like many of the community in general, I despise slabbed books and think it's a waste of keys issues I'd rather see floating around in raw copies, in collectors' hands. There is some history in the hobby of what makes a high grade, key book valuable. First, everyone wanted the issue to read because it was a key point in the story which others would trade other (usually multiple) books of their collections to obtain to read or keep for its own value sake. (especially if you were collecting that run) In the old school, this in turn would either require a trade of key book of another series (also worth multiple low key or non key books). The amount of times this book was read and traded hands, etc, etc obviously reduced the value because the books went through more wear and tear. Hence you would find all the key books in rough shape unless you had other collector friends (Like me) who would normally not let the book leave their sight while you read it. (making them the cool kids on the block with all the good books) That is where the hobby collector determines the value of keys... Modern day, these original collectors values have been effected by people who scoop up all the key books as an investment, lock them up in time capsules which will never be opened, hang them up on the wall in some conceited showmanship, only to arrogantly claim some form of rapport that they actually know what they are talking about.(and honestly, how many of the people with these keys actually have any other books from the run?) I still like what you are doing, but if you want to make a great video, discuss which books you enjoy reading and why or maybe show some of your full runs in normal bags and boards. Maybe make a video with your local comic shop.. thanks for the videos, sorry to write a book here.
Lmao! I have been collecting for a long time,I have always enjoyed the hobby, but I think my biggest reason for collecting is something I can give my kids one day! DON'T LISTEN TO THE HATERS!
Your background looks great! People that will leave a negative comment about it are just jealous that they may not have the books you display. I've been watching your channel for a while just haven't commented, I enjoy your video, keep doing you brother
I’ve collected on and off since the 1970’s. Fantastic Four, John Barleycorn by Traffic, and sandalwood incense. I welcome all collectors, whatever their interests. I even welcome flippers, dealers, speculators, and investors. It’s a great hobby, no matter how hard Disney is trying to destroy it.
Go to any comic shop or convention.... what do you see? Stout middle-aged guys with beards wearing baseball caps, T-shirts, shorts and backpacks. Do they get all the chicks? Are they cool? Do you _WANT TO BE ONE OF THEM?_
@StickyKaren, true collectors read their books. Those who dont are picture collectors. But we all help the industry stay alive. Dont worry about others' options of what makes you happy.
To be honest I never comment but this video I had to say something. I appreciate you creating content. Whether I agree on everything or not, I appreciate the information you share. People who leave disrespectful comments really need to look in mirror. I enjoy your wall, definitely wish I had a few of those comics myself. Good job presenting the negativity and keep up on content. I just had to say to haters, grow up there’s is enough hate in the world now a days we don’t need it in the comic book community.
I bought a Silver Surfer 1 about 15 years ago for about 200. I have the entire vol. 1 run above 8.0. All SLABBED. And many more. CGC is expensive. I’m not an expert, but I do have a wonderful collection. Kill it man! You are spot on!
OK this is Bob in Connecticut. I love your content. Don’t let anything bother you. Everybody has been frustrated because they see their collection value go down recently.. yes things are down since Covid now they are where they should be and they are starting to come back to move upward. Especially for all of the haters save up your goddamn money and just get a copy of amazing fantasy 15. You are never going to lose out.. that rebounded nicely right now amazing fantasy 15 6.5 it’s at $91,000 over five days left on Comic Link.. the whole comic book base is pissy because a lot of the books have gone down in value I understand the frustration.. I’m not worried about anything. I still have my amazing fantasy 15 6.0 no Marvel chipping and I was offered $100,000 in October and I refused the fair market value is only $80,000. I told you I only paid $4000.. you would think I would be pissed off about my tales of suspense 39, 8.5 I paid $5300 during Covid. This book sold for $120,000 on Comic Link a little more than two years ago now it’s only worth about $70,000.. that’s the way it goes but everybody is kind of frustrated I understand.
I don’t see a problem with you having comics on your wall. If anything, I would say that came from someone who was JEALOUS of what was on your wall. There is certainly some gate keeping in the hobby, but I’ve seen the same attitude in other hobbies, as well. I experienced it in my early adulthood when I tried to get into sports cards and Hot Wheels. There are always bad apples in every bunch.
This video earned you a sub from me. I just recently got back into collecting comics and have really enjoyed looking at them, opening them and displaying them. However, now when I walk into a comic shop, I feel like I've been left out of an inside joke going on between the employees. Without going into detail, I'll just say... every lcs I've visited, they all have the exact same employees. Very unwelcoming. Good stuff. Dig your content. Thanks.
Three things. 1) collect how you want, that’s all that matters. 2) you do have a lot of negative videos tbh lol, smile a little man 3) your wall is great, I’m jealous of your collection. Thanks all, still following 👍
You would think the community is more excepting, but really aren't. Being a guy, who likes sports, and have no issues speaking with people. I have a lot of friends outside of the community. When I compare the people it's night and day. Seems like comic and TCG community like to size each other up. I've even been shunned from some because I don't fit their mold.
The first part of this video is hilarious. You do have a good point. As a 54 year old comic fan that's been reading and collecting comics since I was 5 or 6 and got bullied for reading them in middle and high school, I definitely fit what is accepted as a real comics fan. But speaking personally, I absolutely love new comic book fans. Is their opinion as relevant as someone that's been reading comics for decades? Probably not. They just don't have the knowledge yet. But I'm happy to point newer readers to the best stuff I've read. This isn't really unique to comics though. One other thing it really applies to is rock bands. If you weren't a fan before they were popular, you aren't a real fan. I remember arguing with a felllow Tool fan about how he said they sold out as soon as they signed to a major label and made their FIRST album Undertow. He talked about how he saw them live when they only had their Opiate ep and they were full of piss and rage and were glorious, but then he saw them on their Undertow tour and they were boring.
this stuff happens in gaming but no one really cares, they'll just have a pout an move on. i've only been collecting comics for a year, no one can tell me how to enjoy over priced paper. just weirdos on the internet that have nothing better to do
Golden rule of the internet, never engage with trolls. I say this with all respect and sincerity, if you are going to be online in any shape or form, you have to grow thicker skin. There is no shortage of sociopathic idiots online. Just keep on keeping on. Best wishes and good luck.
The good old “no true Scotsman fallacy.” I just got back into the hobby a year ago. I have a lot to catch up on, but regardless I follow the rule of thumb. Collect what/how you like👍🏽 “There’s no wrong way to eat a Reese’s.”
The people who are saying that you are not a reader, obviously did not notice the large library of collected trades on your bookshelf. Those are generally what vociferous readers tend to collect because the floppy can be difficult to read at times, or maybe hard to get the complete storyline.
I have been buying, reading and collecting comic books for best part of 60 years. I don't particularly like slabs but I do have a few because I couldn't get a particular issue I wanted raw in the condition I wanted, but people like yourself who like or love slabs are perfectly entitled to buy them and display them because we are free to do so and the wall display does look cool. I now find myself picking up books that I don't normally collect just for the covers, something 20 years ago I wouldn't of dreamed of, and I will tell you a secret I don't read them either, am I not terrible? Instead I put them in top loaders and display them on my walls, they also look cool, I've been told this by other people who have seen the pics I've sent them. Collect how you want, when you want, why you want, because you want! I live in the UK, and to all intents and purposes it's a free country, and I believe you live in one too!
Buy the comics you like, display them however you want, read them physically, digitally, or in omnibus. As long as you support comic books, we all can keep enjoying them! Just like Neo said "there is no Spoon", I'm saying "there is no Gate".
I have thousands of comics on my wall and I’ve been re-collecting for the last 6 months. I was taken seriously ill 18 months ago and nearly lost my life. My mid life crisis came to me in a flash and I got all my old toys and such out living on my own after 24 years I decided to turn my entire house into a memorabilia place. Every time I get up instead of feeling down and gloomy I just look at the collection in my bedroom, my stairwell, my front room, my dining room etc etc it makes me smile it invigorates me for the rest of the day. I’ve made a fortune recently in a certain comic when it went to an auction now I’m set up for life I can relax enjoy my hobby. Those comments are just from jealous people ignore them and keep producing these vids. Cheers 🍻
A tale as old as time! "You're not a real (insert hobby of some type) unless you (insert arbitrary metric that you meet which others don't)." This happens across all hobbies though, there are toxic people everywhere and you'll find them in every niche community.
Having comics on your wall makes you appreciate the art more than having them away in boxes that you get out every now and then. And if it’s raw you can get the poster down and read it
Don't pay attention to these type of people because they need recognition...ever notice how today's society is considered soft and emotional ever since everyone has a voice now on social media ?...keep doing your thing StickyGoose and the man cave is official bro !
1. I read and bought comics back in the 90s 2. I still collect comics & don't have a single one on my wall 3. I may or may not be balding. You may infer what you will from this information.
One day they’ll realize all of their gatekeeping will kill the hobby. Personally speaking I’ve only had one bad interaction in the hobby but I really don’t interact with anyone not IRL besides simple transactions on eBay and other auction sites. As far as wall books go it’s literally just jealousy that they can’t afford and display the same books you have. I hate the argument of “You can’t even read it” in regards to graded books. Newsflash there are multiple single issue reprints and hardcover collections of most comic books that are easily accessible. Also I’m not going to buy an early valuable silver age book that’s not slabbed due to it maybe being restored or tampered with. If I’m buying any book for hundreds of dollars you best believe I want someone who knows more than me to look at it first and assign it a grade so I know the proper value.
I personally love you dude, you have helped me in my personal collecting with your many good tips, don't listen to the hateful lovers there just jealous dude. I love your set up its dopesick. From Britain
I ran the thought by my ex-girlfriend about making a UA-cam channel that turns the tables on trolls and their negative comments by putting them on blast. She thought it was dumb idea, it lead to an argument, and needless to say, I've moved on to a more supportive listener. But anyways, let the haters sleep in their own wet beds. Don't let them get to you man. Personally, I find nothing wrong with comics displayed on the wall. They are works of art! When I was younger I would buy comics to read but now I'm collecting them more for the art aspect and the nostalgia. I think you have one of the most entertaining channels in the "community". Just continue being yourself and eff the haters. BTW, dope shirt, Goose!
@@PunguinYoga It really was odd, also made me uncomfortable, but I still bought what I wanted and never went back. Had my nephew with me and it struck him as strange as well. Two generations of collectors not buying from that store now.
@@fuzzy8593 I don't blame you one bit. I always try to vote with my dollars. It's great you're sharing the hobby with a youngster. I know one You Tube comic dealer who was sent some custom gifts by a man and his son. He was so grateful he sent the son one of his cherished books: a $600 Green Lantern slab!
On the flipside of that, I've seen someone shit talk the guy behind the counter for being a "Batman store" even though they carry as much Batman stuff as any other comic book store.
For the most part I feel like the community has been very accepting. We all have different collecting habits and styles. One issue I have seen is some collectors/dealers are very secretive about what cool books they are chasing or collecting. This is understandable because they want to get all the books before anyone else comes and snatches them up. I really love the comic community.
Hey StickyGoose, don’t usually comment on videos but wanted to show my support. As long as you get enjoyment out of collecting comics/ statues, who cares how you do it or what those negative ppl think or say about it! I love your content and hope you don’t let the few spoil things for the many. Keep on trucking! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Your wall looks wonderful. And in general, for example, I don’t collect slabs and I’m always questioning why other people do, not because I think it’s stupid or speculative it’s mainly because I am a person obsessed with function and slabs take away the function of a book. So I’m always fascinated how people can have the books and not read them because it would drive me mad. But the slabbing performs a function for them, they don’t want to read it they want to keep it pristine and enjoy having it displayed or not but safely stored in a slab. Not the way I collect but any way of collecting is fine and instead of being nasty ask questions and talk to people about different ways of collecting and reading, it might open your eyes to new ways. I’ll shut up now ✌️
Your wall is perfect. Don't change a thing unless you want to. I'm just on an esoteric philosophical level what is Love without hate what is a hero without a villain ? So many people these days just don't understand that hating is a part of life. I hate liver. I hate head cheese. Hate is a beautiful thing because without it you can't really love. All hail sticky goose and long live the haters.
There have always been people who will tell you that you are not a real comicbook fan if you like SQUADRON SUPREME more than WATCHMEN or the movie version of LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINAIRE GENTLEMEN to the comicbook. Funnily enough the same people classify WATCHMEN as a graphic novel but that's why you start a blog or a UA-cam channel. As far ss collecting goes a lot of people don't know the difference between comic readers, comic collectors and comicbook speculators. I myself have been collecting comics for 40 years and have never bought a slabbed comic or felt the need to put it on my wall. But that may be because I'm from Europe. If you want to put some comics on your wall you should do it. And you should collect what you like. I mean there are people who only collect original comicbook art and don't read comics.
Greetings from Canada Eh!!!! Why let it bother you what other people think? The way I collect is probably going to be different from the way you collect. It only stands to reason, we are different people. Fortunately I have never run across this kind of thing in my Local Comics Shop. Personally I am a story driven collector. I have friends of all ages in the shop who collect many different ways. Some collect for covers, others are speculators and yet some are title collectors. We all have something in common. We Love the Comic Book Hobby. This world is full of too much strife as is, I don't want to debate over something that I do as a hobby I enjoy. If people are that petty, oh well, I wish them the best in their hobby, health and happiness. Don't worry if people don't appreciate the way you enjoy your hobby, have fun and let's just keep the hobby alive. All the Best!!!
I was in the trenches in 83 !!off and on comic l collector ! while your father goose was heating ur egg sticky goose! I was pulling keys from dollar bins throwing away dazzler and man thing books. Great Video Goose !!!
I can agree with you in some aspects, gatekeeping is huge in all communities in Fortnite if you don't have an OG Skin, World of Warcraft if you didn't Raid X boss when it was relevant , Football if you haven't liked a team since day 1 Music if you only listen to a singer/rapper after the blow up and not when they were underground. Main stream and Geek(Nerd) culture all have gatekeepers . I feel like people get upset the most when others come into their respective communities and use them as a "cash grab" ,drive up prices making it harder for those long term collectors that will stay in after the wave . I haven't watched enough of your videos to have an opinion on you , but maybe stop giving the trolls attention. If you like comics buy them read them ,buy, them , put them on your walls, hell wipe your ass with them tbh its your prerogative . There are so many other You Tubers if people don't like your content then they should stop watching .Keep doing what makes you happy !
@@talathalas If you ask someone from Michigan where they're from, they will hold up their right hand with the palm facing you and point to the area they are from. When you join the Air Force, you learn all sorts of things from people all over the country.
i’ve been a collector since I was 12 years old I’m gonna turn 40 and let me tell you something we need more people because in the end of the day I need to try to cash in also can’t keep everything forever you gotta share
I've been in the trenches a long time. I would bring my comics to school with me...High School! I'm still a fan and part of a fan group on facebook. These "fans" of comics are some of the nastiest, meanest people you will ever meet. Last week a guy told me he wished he could break my book out of the CGC slab and destroy the issue (since I mentioned it was the highest on census).

It’s yours.
Comic nerds can be cruel but if you have more than 2 comics you're a collector
Brother, I watch your videos all the time, I like the fact you are part of the community. However, I think there is a part of me that can understand why you get some of the comments you get. Like many of the community in general, I despise slabbed books and think it's a waste of keys issues I'd rather see floating around in raw copies, in collectors' hands.
There is some history in the hobby of what makes a high grade, key book valuable. First, everyone wanted the issue to read because it was a key point in the story which others would trade other (usually multiple) books of their collections to obtain to read or keep for its own value sake. (especially if you were collecting that run)
In the old school, this in turn would either require a trade of key book of another series (also worth multiple low key or non key books). The amount of times this book was read and traded hands, etc, etc obviously reduced the value because the books went through more wear and tear. Hence you would find all the key books in rough shape unless you had other collector friends (Like me) who would normally not let the book leave their sight while you read it. (making them the cool kids on the block with all the good books)
That is where the hobby collector determines the value of keys...
Modern day, these original collectors values have been effected by people who scoop up all the key books as an investment, lock them up in time capsules which will never be opened, hang them up on the wall in some conceited showmanship, only to arrogantly claim some form of rapport that they actually know what they are talking about.(and honestly, how many of the people with these keys actually have any other books from the run?)
I still like what you are doing, but if you want to make a great video, discuss which books you enjoy reading and why or maybe show some of your full runs in normal bags and boards. Maybe make a video with your local comic shop.. thanks for the videos, sorry to write a book here.
Wait... comics are supposed to be read? 🧐
👏👏👏 Strap On, you've done it again! 🍻
Lmao! I have been collecting for a long time,I have always enjoyed the hobby, but I think my biggest reason for collecting is something I can give my kids one day! DON'T LISTEN TO THE HATERS!
There are elitists one every block in America. Comic book collecting is not immune to them. Collect as you all see fit. Welcome to the hobby!
Love that we’re part of this inclusive hobby. With such good looking profile pic people.
Your background looks great! People that will leave a negative comment about it are just jealous that they may not have the books you display. I've been watching your channel for a while just haven't commented, I enjoy your video, keep doing you brother
I’m waiting for a comment from one of those people saying “hey you can’t use my profile picture without my permission!” 😂😂
I like your counter-point, it is good to hear from other opinions. It hurts no one to collect comic books the way you prefer. It is a free country.
Bro literally one of my FAVORITE comic content creators
Wow, I’m so sorry. I get some stuff like this too. I always block and delete. I love your dark sarcasm.
Dude don't let those losers bother you. Stay positive my friend.
Don’t always agree with you but you are 100% right on this topic. The gate keeping and the Comic Snobs are Everywhere
It’s good that you aired those comments. If people write them, they should stand behind them.
Do what you do! Enjoy those books no matter how you collect.
Good stuff, had me dieing here, Sticky doesn’t give two Sh*ts. Trolls on blast!!
sticky goose, is a bald headed, Tommy Bahama hat wearing tool, trying to pull me to the dark side of Rob Liefeld foot art!! Ok make me famous now.
Thanks.
Ahh, such a warm and fuzzy comic book community. Keep doing what you do Sticky. I like the content you’re putting out!
At 7:23 what app is that?
I love when you read your admirer's comments! My man!
Don't give these people rent free space to live in your head! Read and collect what you enjoy.
Love your videos and I love your perspective on this amazing hobby! Keep it up. We need people like you
The good old “no true Scotsman fallacy.” I just got back into the hobby a year ago. I have a lot to catch up on, but regardless I follow the rule of thumb. Collect what/how you like👍🏽
“There’s no wrong way to eat a Reese’s.”
The people who are saying that you are not a reader, obviously did not notice the large library of collected trades on your bookshelf. Those are generally what vociferous readers tend to collect because the floppy can be difficult to read at times, or maybe hard to get the complete storyline.
Collecting is collecting.
The subtlety of the shirt to the haters is magic.
Goose being Goose is the best Goose!!
Having comics on your wall makes you appreciate the art more than having them away in boxes that you get out every now and then. And if it’s raw you can get the poster down and read it
Collect what ya want , display what ya want…keep up the videos!!!
Comic book bullies... Really?!? 😂🤣😂
Don't pay attention to these type of people because they need recognition...ever notice how today's society is considered soft and emotional ever since everyone has a voice now on social media ?...keep doing your thing StickyGoose and the man cave is official bro !
Right on, Sticky Goose. im with you on this, everyone thinks they are internet thugs
1. I read and bought comics back in the 90s
2. I still collect comics & don't have a single one on my wall
I watch your channel, because you say whats on your mind. Some people dont like that, who gives a s----. Just do what you do.
Collect what and how you like.
If you haven’t wasted as much money as everyone else, you aren’t a comic collector
I’ve had comic shop owners criticize my purchase before, like I was dumb for purchasing a certain Batman book. Weird af.
That's very odd.
@@fuzzy8593 I don't blame you for not returning. Vote with your dollars...
It may be accepting, but I hear that workers and shop owners make newcomers feel like shit when they enter stores. I have heard this numerous times.
It triggers them because either they don't have anything worth putting on display or their wife won't let them! 😂
i liked this video soooo fast lol. great stuff
Hey Sticky, love the shirt! 💛💙
Waaaaaaa 😭 why can’t I find vintage Star Wars comics at the store’s anymore 3 stores and no luck I guess I have no choice but eBay
I’ll shut up now ✌️
Read the tpbs... not the 1960's and 70's Artifacts!
When you bought that hat did it come with a free bowl of soup?
I enjoy watching your videos man 👍
This goose is cooking! 👏
Thank you for sharing, keep doing what you do!!!
Sadly, I can extrapolate one more bit of information from those comments. 😂
It's art. Lots of people hang art on their walls. I have comics on my wall too. If someone doesn't like it, that's their problem.
For a second I was thinking your shirt was a middle finger
It is
We use the middle finger to explain to out of staters where we live in WV. I'm at the thumb.
@@talathalas If you ask someone from Michigan where they're from, they will hold up their right hand with the palm facing you and point to the area they are from. When you join the Air Force, you learn all sorts of things from people all over the country.
@@Stickygoose As a Louisville Cardinals fan that remembers our football games against WVU, I refer to it as the 'Mountaineer hello' lol
i’ve been a collector since I was 12 years old I’m gonna turn 40 and let me tell you something we need more people because in the end of the day I need to try to cash in also can’t keep everything forever you gotta share
Don’t read the comments man. Don’t let them get to ya. Just keep on comicing.
Great video as always, keep up the great work
how bout less than 1 min in i'm giving thumbs up cuz this had me lol'n for real, lmao. your sense of humor really starting to grow on me. i got no time for shitty ppl. unfortunately i feel like "real" [wink] constructive criticism is getting short changed and disregarded because everyone is quick to the defense from interweb douches. keep up the good work SG, esp. tryin to pronounce all the usernames, LMAO.
Sticky Goose I thought you were smart enough not to pay attention to any of that crap
Keep doing your thing. Wall looks good. End of the day its YOUR stuff. Red shirt guy with his pretend "tough" guy look is probably jealous. 😂
