    All politicians & FMCSA leadership drafting laws and legislation on truck drivers should be required to drive a 18 wheeler(all types for 3 years,all 50 states;All regions)before they’re allowed to hold their job positions!!!!

    Could you do a video on understanding pc and other regulations regarding day cab drivers?

      We’ve done a couple videos on PC but they weren’t specific to day cab drivers. Thanks for the idea!

    Automatic brakes SUCK!! Collision detection on trucks SUCK! Digital gauge clusters SUCK! I do like the new KW automatics though. I prefer manual, but those truck are WIDE and spacious. Mind you, I run day cab fuel trucks. Obviously I’m local, but I would mind having one of those in our fleet.

    No one should be intoxicated or under the influence of anything (including cell phones!!)while operating a motor vehicle…especially a 18 wheeler!!!!!

    Nobody wants their whole life regulated by job.
    Right now you can be drunk as a skunk but 10 hrs later you can drive. But smoke some bud a month ago at home and get fired.

    If you run a Department of Enforcement then to me those people should have performed the job that is being enforced for atleast 5 years for the experience of the work; the college education comes in second and the politics comes in flat last place, doesn't this make sense? Sad part of this all these new rules were pushed not by the trucking companies, not by the unions, not by the drivers; no these rules were pushed for by the insurance companies, as usual, same companies that pushed for the mandatory seatbelt rules "for safety" not to stop a driver of anything to look for a larger crime, if you believe that I have ocean front property for sale in Eastern Nevada.
    The other sad part of the rules is that the people making up the rules have never even made an OTR run of atleast 1k miles; just to see how these rules actually work, how the ELD's screw up the hours of service and how faulty they are.

    Do you have a video or could explain what the SMS 3.15 update with numerous added codes means? Example, 392.5A2-IP - is that a bullet point to the root regulation 392.5A2 or is this a new item an RSI can be given for? There is not a lot out there to explain these additions and a majority of them are word -for-word, the same as what already existed or have minor text changes.

    • @Trucksafe
      @Trucksafe  8 місяців тому +1

      They are just new ways to code existing violations. Currently, officers can write those violations but they are doing so through the root code section, as you noted. The new codes are just a way for them to be more precise in their assignment of the violation.

    The big problem is they are all rules and regulations. None of them are Laws. The only Laws we should have to follow are the Laws passed by Congress. I think Congress will put a Stop to Speed Limiters and these Dangerous Sensors they want on all New Trucks.

    Would you happen to know how to go about cleaning up OS violations?

    • @Trucksafe
      @Trucksafe  6 місяців тому

      There are only 2 ways OOS rates improve: (1) organically over time (if you’re able to keep from having new OOS violations), and (2) if the officer made a mistake and you’re able to successfully appeal an OOS violation via the DataQs system.
