I had that happen working for Marcus Brown of Atlanta Georgia! Horrible employer had me working as a 1099 employee and forced me to do everything a w2 would do and more for less than minimum wage hours in a weekly pay format. Not to mention they tried to get me to lie to Colorado dot about the truck. And had me hot loading what were supposed to be sealed loads. I left them in the dirt. Don’t do that to yourself new guys! Just don’t risk it!

Tell your dispatcher or the broker to do it themselves or tell them to take your job and shove it. To many trucking jobs in this country and always will be.I won't break the rules for the dumbass period.
How long does inspection report stay on your record and does it require paperwork to get it off your record after the length of time it's on there

I have a question. I tested positive while attending cdl classes as a permit holder. It’s been 3 months and it’s still hasn’t appeared in the clearhouse and no one’s getting back to me. Can I just continue classes somewhere else
its for employment only not for classes/students
The OTR are not particularly the speeders... it's the abundance of these delivery drivers. Some people cannot differentiate.
The vast majority of carriers are small... and many are Independent Drivers... many of these drivers how they drive creates unnecessary repairs. Drivers need to be more conscientious... and less lackadaisical about their pre-trip inspection.

It's never going to happen.... the CONcept of autonomous vehicles has been around since 1939, and currently, there are zero technologies that can interact within the human environment safely navigating from A to B destinations. There are hundreds of flaws and problems within GPS navigation and other safety related aspects, far too many for this pipe-dream to ever become reality. It's a fool's errand.
That's why marijuana should be taken off the list! PERIOD. MEANWHILE YOU ALCOHOLICS ARE ALLOWED TO DRINK YOUR A$$ES OFF WHILE OFF DUTY! Who gives a SHIT if I smoke at home!!!
20,000 with no CDL?!? Are you fricken kidding me? 37,000 don’t speak or read the English language?! How many of them fit into the same category? Let’s focus on the drugs and alcohol though right? I’m sure the same people fall under the med certificate category as well! This is why trucking is not what it used to be. We don’t all cut holes out of our floor and no speaka English while the other four non truck drivers are in the sleeper.

Yeah this is why I’m leaving the orange company that I’ve been working for for 10 years. I’ve been an hourly pay employee of them for the last three or so and now they’re coming up with a great money saving measure which is they don’t wanna pay me for the hours that I sit at a customer. I don’t know about anybody else but I’m exchanging my time for money and sitting at a customer when I cannot leave that customer is still supposed to be paid because I am in the employee doing/representing the company while I am at the customer. I keep telling them I refuse to go off duty and if I were to go off duty I would be leaving the customer which they don’t want me to do, obviously. They just keep trying to say “its policy“ , And I keep replying that it’s just another way trying to rip off employees and get free labor regardless of whether I’m laboring at that specific moment or not.
I only have one truck on my FMCSA account and I got suspended and revoked from some companies someone used my DOT I went and check I saw several trucks plate numbers that ain't mine in violation how can I remove those
Why does it matter if a person did drugs 20 years ago or even 5 years ago. People do dumb things when they are younger. Is there really a need to do anything more than a urine test? Just my opinion

Not every place mentions that the 150 air miles equals 172 statute miles which is very helpful. Also some mention if you cross state lines and that state requires your vehicle to be cdl. Bother others places I check don't mention this. Adds to the confusion. Check the FMCS

I failed a drug test 5 months ago with a prescription drug i do not take. They told me they were 100% accurate and will not change it. That was 5 months ago I am at the end of this system where I did everything they asked me to do. Passed 2 more drug tests had the last kne put on Clearinghouse and then they told me I have to test every 2 months for a year and have the company pay for it. Then after this it will remain on the record for 5 more years. Had I been given all of the information and what I needed to do i would have dropped the cdl. A screwed up system
Not happening. 15 years ago they said we would have autonomous trucking in 5 years. We are still a couple decades away. 15 years ago they said we would be colonizing Mars in five years. No progress, not interested
Doing the SAP will be a waste of money! Not only are the programs expensive, but you have to find a company to work for to get it removed? So how you go find a job now that they say your a high risk driver ? Yeah No luck!

Clearinghouse gives foreign truck drivers immunity and vague language to keep foreign drivers safe from losing CDL.

I just got randomly affected by this after almost 2 years of it not being on my record . I just got screwed over while in training for a class A . I had to go update my class A permit and that’s when I got the paper telling me my license was being downgraded from a Class B to Class D . There’s no way to dispute it , people telling me it’s faster to just got through SAP , I have never failed a drug screen , I’m going through this because I was unaware of a company being able to decide the amount of urine needed ( Schneider ) 70ml or sum crazy . Well I was unaware of this because it was my very first time ever testing for a federal type job . I provided hair sample and urine . But when I brung the urine out she turned the bottle around and showed me a black line she wrote on it saying “ that’s where you needed to be “ “ you’ll have to re due your urine sample “ “ you have up to 3hrs , we will provide you with 3 cups of water .” “ and you can’t add to this one “ then tossed it ! I’m like huh ? I’m here on my break from my current job( there on my brake in the work van ). Mind you my brake only a hr long and I had to drive to the concentra to do the test . She like” well if you have to leave then I’ll have to mark you as a refusal “ I said “ well I just peed in et cup , I don’t have time I have to go back to work or else I’ll lose my job “ “ I have their work van I have to get back “ I can’t lose my job trying to get another , so she was like well contact your recruiter and see if it’s anything they can do “. Mind you this my first time ever doing any type of federal type process to get in a job , I left the concentra so naive thinking I’ll be able to get help from my recruiter like any other job and they did me so bad . Kilt my opportunity in getting a job in my dream field . I’ve done plenty of test for driving companies after to try and get on with their training programs and that’s when I learned that every company can handle their drug screening process how ever they like because I’ve never ran into no one writing a black line on the urine bottle . I just recently did a drug screen for 160 academy and they didn’t do that nor hair sample , and I just leaned that hair sample is not even federally regulated . I’ve also spoke with my old bus over at the bus garage and informed them about this new change and how was I even driving a school bus for as long as I was and this never came up . He said they do the clearinghouse thing every year , so there’s no way that they wouldn’t have seen it . Even also 160 academy because that was the most recent clearinghouse pulls and stuff . I’ve been in training at 160 for prolly the last month and a half , I think I started early November or late October of 2024 I was driving school busses before that , I had that situation Schneider way before I even thought about driving a school bus . Soo much time in between plenty of trips to the DMV and nothing until now lol . Now they want to do this after that long ???
Clearinghouse will not disclose to me when my follow up testing is done.How will I know when my record is cleared? I have left a testing facility too early deaming me failed and in violation.I tested then left not knowing the test had extra paperwork to sighn.Now a innocent man convicted unjustified with no proff can’t know when my follow up is done so I’m able to find employment.Im recently unemployed and follow up testing negative for 2.5 yrs and before that 30 years of negative test.Why is the government not making laws to protect me for company’s denying me employment when they say it’s ok to drive.Criminals have rights.Not sure if I’ll loose my home after 30 years of no road violations or accidents and now I’m poison.The clearinghouse has not made any difference in the safety trucks on the road.They only ruined drivers careers.Follow up testing negative should be my business and company’s shouldn’t have a hold on my license and non placement of employment.I deserve beter treatment and I hope I don’t loose what I worked so hard for.Shame on you U S Government.
