Saw the Doobies in Edmonton Alberta in present communist Kanada..wnen I was not 70yrs old..Baptised Soldier of CHRIST. need a handmade violin or viola..cheap..25grand UCD$....useless Canadian dollarz...better than bitcoin
"My Sweet Lord", "Spirit in the Sky", "Put Your Hand in the Hand of Man" and "Jesus is Just All Right" are examples of late sixties religious songs that were hits.
Well, The Byrds covered it in the 60's. You might say this was a cover of a cover (though, honestly, I've never heard the original Art Reynolds Singers version)@@towertone
In the Wrecking Crew docs they always say that bands like The Doobies and The Eagles started a trend of bands that could actually play their instruments and didn't use session players. Pretty obvious here.
The best music came out of the 70s! I always loved the way they slowed this song down and picked it back up. That's perfection! 💎 Happy Wednesday... thank you for sharing! 💖
I picked up Tiran Porter in my taxi circa 1990 outside of Los Gatos in the Santa Cruz mountains. Took him to pick up his Chevy Blazer from the mechanic in Campbell. Nice guy.
1975 I was in Deleno Ca , Most of my family liked Spanish stations, I did too norteña ,but I Always like the music of Dooby brothers, Beautiful music 🎵, Iwas 13 yrs , so many troubles , in my Family, That’s was my refuge, It was not a bad one, May God bless them, Sinceramente,
That is a terrific way to kick off my birthday on the 5th of July morning, I hit play on this video and poured me a stiff drink, I'm feeling better already brother!
I'm rediscovering this band. I found a used copy of Toulouse Street on vinyl at an estate sale. I forgot what a great band they were. Every song on that album is perfect. I also forgot or didn't realize how much acoustic guitar they used on their studio albums. They covered Cotton Mouth, a Seals and Crofts song. Great stuff!
Millones de personas buscan el refugio de su soledad en alcohol drogas, sexo o incluso la música que es maravillosa, yo encontré todo lo realmente valioso que necesitaba en JESÚS y lo único que me importa es lo que EL piensa de mí!
Always wished for an official live album with this lineup. To be honest, I would want three---- this one....Later a 1975 concert with Skunk with Johnston in the mix, Then one say from 1976 or 1977 with McDonald, both uncluttered by touring horn sections.
Who else is listening to this pearl in 2024? 💕

In the Wrecking Crew docs they always say that bands like The Doobies and The Eagles started a trend of bands that could actually play their instruments and didn't use session players. Pretty obvious here.
And then became session players for other people
The Doobie Brothers are another shining example of great 70 music.
Jesus is The Savior of the Whole World
Yes Jesus saved my life from death.
This world is going to be destroyed and rebuilt.
Yes@@bob733333
Screw those bastards believe otherwise.
Lol. Well, what you call Jesus I callloving-kindness, but difference (that is, diversity, equity and inclusion) makes the world go round.🫂
It’s so nice to have a secular group sing about the Lord Jesus Christ. I have lots of respect for them.
Just WOW 😲 Jesus is just alright!!! I've always loved this! Thank you Jesus Christ!!!

Titan Porter - probably one of the most crucial, but unknown relative to his band mates, components of the Doobie’s sound.
Tiran
Such a fantastic musician, one of the top bass players in rock
One of those classic Doobie Brothers songs that you NEVER get tired of listening to!
This is as good as bands get vintage Doobies dam what a band...
The best music came out of the 70s!
I always loved the way they slowed this song down and picked it back up.

Midnight Special: a blast from the past; thank you indeed
That is my alltime favorite DB line-up!
What an absolutely.. Fantastic band... The Doobie Brothers.. Still Rock'n in 2024....Mr Dilly.. Likey!!! 👍🎸😎❤️
This has to be one of the coolest songs the Doobies made, that guitar riff at 0:23 and 3:27 is totally gnarly, I totally dig it!
Jesus is indeed just alright. My sweet Lord
HE SURE IS ALRIGHT WITH ME AND I PRAY WITH ALL OF YOU. ❤. THE BAND KICKS IT.😮❤
Phenomenal song....I hear a LESLIE sounded guitar in there...

Best version of the band right here folks
Millones de personas buscan el refugio de su soledad en alcohol drogas, sexo o incluso la música que es maravillosa, yo encontré todo lo realmente valioso que necesitaba en JESÚS y lo único que me importa es lo que EL piensa de mí!
What a great, raw, live sound. Love hearing it without the extra layers in the studio recording.
Smoking 🚬 too many Doobies. Jesus is God!!! Much love, Robert Duggan ⛪️ ❤️
The sounds of the Gibsons are delightful.
That bass !!!! mmm hmmm
Porter's Bass lines on all the Doobies songs are a real treat.
Jesus..!!!🙏🔥🔥🔥
Saw the doobies a few months ago when they opened up for the Eagles, they blew them off the stage. Still kicking ass in the 2020's .
Amen😎
Awesome song, thank you TMS.
Song for today..!!
I love Rock and Roll Heaven cause they got a Hell of a band...yours very truly Alfonso Cantu
Skunk Baxter on bongos !!! … priceless !!!
That's John Hartman, not Jeff Baxter. Jeff wasn't in the group yet. BTW, those are congas, not bongos. Nice comment, though.
One of my favorite songs with my favorite message.
❤ You said it ☝️Thank ya!
My favorite and the best rock and roll band . Thank you for the upload .
Very powerful song when you understand the cause of Jesus!
Oldie written by Art Reynolds circa 1966. Flawlessly done.
The early year's,... the best one's.... from those 3.......
Love how it goea into the Pink Floyd- Esque part.
Amen, brother!
RIP percussionist John Hartman and drummer Mike Hossack. Great memory!
Gives me something to look forward to every morning. Another great clip.

This is some serious 70's gold. What a great band!
Saw them several years ago, front row, the house was a rockin’ 😅
I remember when I got the album with this song on there, when you opened the album up there was was naked women, what a exciting era of rock!
I walked out on this song in '77 at Red Rocks, then Stayed and Sang along when they came back a few(early 2000s?) years ago.❤🙏🏼
Why did you walk out on the song in 1977?
@SkuttleBug1974 Hi,because in my 20s -30s it seemed like people were constantly trying to "save" me. It felt like they were Pushing religion on me.
@@Blap552 so you found Jesus? Or did you just sing along longer because it no longer bothered you? - Just curious and thanks.
I love this song!!!
Doobie Bros smashing it outta the park. Great version of J.I.J.A 🙏👍🙏👍
"Amen'

When I was a kid, I wished I had Tom Johnston's hair! 😅
I wish I had it now!

An Allen Reynolds song that was released a year before this one by The Byrds. Theirs was good, but short & sweet.
I remember watching it,,,ooohhh
Damn. We knew how to dress in the day…
I miss those days! Saw them back in the early 70’s. I must admit, sometimes I still dress like this
man... solid gold!!!!
Oh yeah
Originally recorded by The Byrds. The Doobies nail it, though. No pun intended.
