Man I am 64 years old and I am often depressed and listen to songs from my youth but whenever I listen to this and other America songs DAMN they make me feel so much better!!! These guys are one of the most underrated bands of ALL- Time. Thank you guys for at least temporarily making me happy when I listen to your songs!!
Reel music back then huh h7h hi ùartists loved to make beautiful songs, love those days IAM fixing to be 62 glad I was born in the 60s. Got two go to so many concerts. We all need to stand up for our music5

With the number of “Who’s listening in 2024” comments, it’s obvious that we are all here listening to songs that make us feel connected to a time and place so different than today. With all the social media, true connections between people get less and less common. We are as they say, alone in a crowd.

And the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame keep passing them by for RAP artist and 1 hit wonder alternative bands. Disgusting. These guys and groups like them, others from the 60s and 70s deserve their recognition.
It took all the way 'til 2018 for the Moody Blues to make it. They had hits in the 60's, 70's, 80's. and sold over 75 million albums and countless millions of their singles too. So yeah, America were a unique band that belongs.
Holy cow, thank you for saying that you’re amazing this case sang songs wrote and produced who would ever have thought have three guitars, playing and make it sound good thank you brother I’m with you
This is a great song but it doesn't look like a live performance though, they seem to be lip-syncing (which they used to do a lot at a certain point in TV history when the sound of the recording was hard to duplicate in live performance).
Musical genius Paul Williams introducing the great band, America. Doesn't get any better than this. Would loved to have seen the post-performance interview.
I saw America in 1976 in Pittsburgh at the old Civic Arena with my parents when I was 4. I took my dad to see America at our local casino in 2018. They were just as good as if no time passed.
This is the studio recording. Look closely. They are lipsyncing and faking it entirely. Love this band though and this song. Wish I could have seen them actually, really perform live.
Wow where did the past 39 years go? America was such a talented band with that wonderful lush harmony! It is very rare to hear this quality of musicianship today! Thanks for the great video.
It's amazing these men have created music together for over 50 years! I saw them a few years back live and they sounded exactly like they did back in the beginning! Very good live band. I highly recommend them in concert if you ever get the chance.

Their rock is smooth and melodic. When in school in England I first heard them in the 1970s and remember that their sound kept me happy liberated and inspiring that I was always able to stay on track and study successfully
I fully understand the lyrics to this great song. You see there was this very special girl in H.S. she did do magic to me. 53 years later she still has that special talent. Thank you America.
Agradecido UA-cam..... Continuem trazendo esses Hits, nossa juventude precisa 👏👏
This is some fantastic lip syncing. :) It's a nice song though.
I am 69 years old and I have always listened to America. One of the best bands ever period they should be in the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame.
Absolutely. I was 4 when this song was out, but I can remember it and I loved it even then.

I was a child in 1982 when this was rocking. I’m 46 now and this is still rocking
I was 14 when I first heard this back in '82. Even after 40 years, I still remember all the lyrics,
These guys made it look so easy, and were so damn good at it...hit after hit...all gold!
It looked easy here because they were lipsynching.
They are still pumping out new music as recent as 2015. Amazing tubes on all their albums including the new stuff.

I was born in 1955 and I think this one of best bands of the of the 70s
This is how they do it in the 80's !
No Autotune, just simply fantastic vocals and harmonies and simple guitar work.
And catchy composition.
Can't say it better
