Sam just a suggestion, would be nice to see a graphic or map of where these journeys go as you work your way from A to B. Just so we can get a visual idea of the distance and parts of the world you're in.
Check out ordinance survey over here.
TOTALLY AGREE!
Same! Also great for us viewers to plan our next trip so way can drive this road as well!
That would be cool
Love the motorcyclist in the background taking photos of the car at 8:15. I’d be doing exactly the same. Great video again Sam, despite the obvious pressure of time. No surprise you managed to fit a coffee in all the same. ☕️
Just type the time into your comment in the time format and it create a link to that time stamp automatically, e.g. 8:15
That guy was a paid actor😂😂
It’s incredible you film most of these by yourself. One of the best to do it!
There’s no way he films the drone and fly by shots whilst driving the car all by himself, there has to be someone with him
Really like the 296 styling, maybe even more than the SF90 👍
Another great video Sam, thank you 😊
Every single time you post it’s a delight. I genuinely don’t understand how you can keep this quality in all of your videos, without a professional filming crew, and under a strict schedule. Incredible, absolutely incredible, best automotive content on the internet. Been watching for many years
No one does UA-cam videos quite like Sam. Equally spectacular are the cars and scenery he films. And - you gotta love a guy who drives his 360 and enjoys the life! Keep it up Sam ol' Boy!
Content this year just keep on beeing on an insane level mate!
Big fan of the 296 Styling, it's elegant
Its the ugliest Ferrari
Agreed, it's so fluid, it really remembers me of the Dino, beautiful car.
@@douchetimes the uglies by far is the roma, which looks like Fiat Barchetta and Jaguar F-Type had a baby. Disgusting.
@@douchetimes That would be the SF90.
@@RAZGR1Z nah, it's the SP3. SF90 is a close second though
A wonderful start to my Sunday. Thanks Sam.
As a fan of Ken Burns in college, a BTS doc would be very interesting. A look into how you make arrangements to drive the cars is something I’m sure many would love to see. It’ll be complex, I know, but peek into your world would be epic.
Your videos have so much character Sam. An absolute blast to watch every one of them!
this 296 gts is beautiful! nice spec really fit to daily drive with sporty yet elegant appearance. and of course sam, your video really makes it even better!
the different angles that you do is such a task and it is really hard work i mean i really appreciate it
Coffee, Cars, Camera's - what a hard life you live! As usual, your work was brilliant. I love these trips you do and the production quality is fantastic. Allons-y!
This 296 and the McLaren Artura owe an nod to the BMW i8 which pioneered this formula, along with CFRP construction in 2014!
Dude your videos are top notch. True grassroots enthusiast feel all the time. NEVER CHANGE
Brilliantly filmed video Sam. Love the car as well. Cheers, John, UK.
Beautiful video as always Sam, keep up the good work! I absolutely love this car such a good looking thing
What a day it was Sam! Good that you take your time for your espresso, those are the moments you remember when thinking back☺️ hope you had a good drive to Paris !
Sam all the respect for all the hard work and the content is just so good
12:27 When you know Tim is there just because of his giggle
Was wondering around 11:05 if he was there bcuz I remember Sam saying he and Tim met up in Italy recently in a prev vid but Tim didn't want to say much. Can't wait for the car.
Was just going to 👍🏾 one of the other comments but needs to be said how great this episode was. Car content, cinematography and commentary all spot on. Well done
Some of your best camera and audio work yet, really enjoyed this one Sam
another fabulous video Sam .you really are the master of these
well done 🏆
5:51 visceral joy...very good presentation indeed.
This guys work is always on point
Great video work. My twin brother has the same perspective when it comes to coffee. Then we are rushing off to get some place that we are now behind schedule on. Big smile. Loved the scenery and content. 💙👊
Great video, Sam. Wish it was a little longer!:)
Your editing is getting better and better. Nice work. I love how you brushed off Shmee. At least you don't make the same videos day after day.
Great video Sam, especially considering the time constraints. This is definitely the best looking of the new Ferrari lineup.
Really love watching your content. Really good vibes and one can see you really love what you do 😄
this video felt like a film, great editing and vibe to the whole thing!
That is my favourite video in a while, excellent Sam. I particularly enjoyed the Sam faff after coffee! I’m with you on the styling, but I loved the blue without the nose paint. I think that’s it, the stripe
TY Sam. Luv your videos!!
Cheers from Vancouver🙂
Sam,
Congratulations on a fantastic review of the car. You are really developing your skills as a professional. The days of being just another a UA-cam-er are gone. I think you are bringing much more balanced snd considered reporting to the show. Keep up the excellent work. PS: tell Tony my 1993 Alfa Spider has only ever broken down once in 29 years. The high voltage coil finally gave up last year. So a 90 Euro replacement was necessary. And it used to commute between Paris snd Stuttgart regularly. Never a breakdown. Now it’s living most of its days in the Alps.
very very impeccable video and your way of asking for a coffee in Italian is pretty good!
Short and sweet indeed.
Full marks Sam.
SMDF on a roll...👌🏾
I think the 296 looks fantastic! Just not sure if I’d want to actually buy one with my own money. Think I’d still go for a 458 or 488. Or if it had to be a new Ferrari probably the Roma. BUT I can’t afford any of those so it doesn’t matter 😂
Great video once again Sam! Really appreciate the effort you put into these!
Such an elegant car mate n the blue 😃! luv it !
Looks amazing in that blue
I wasn’t a huge fan of the 296 at first but in that spec with your backdrops it did look stunning. Looks like a fantastic road trip car.
Have to agree Sam. Wasn’t too enamoured by the GTB but the GTS is gorgeous when the roof is down.
I do find it funny though because when you was giving it some beans it didn’t sound any different than the MC20.
Will be interesting when and if you get the chance to drive the spider version of that.
Great video yet again 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
the 296 is really growing on me...as ever Sam, enjoying your content
Thanks Sam. Great video. I'm still not a fan of Ferrari's new design language but I'm sure the cars are riveting to drive.
Great video as always!!! Not sure your mic. was picking up the Ferrari engine Sam, as it sounded pretty quiet. Until you got into your Ferrari!
Never mind your committed driving of the 296 GTS on the “time limited”test drive which was great to virtual ride along with, I think your drive from there to Paris in the 360 in just over 10hrs is going to be a different level of commitment 😉👍
Futa pass is a great road! Been up and down it many times on both 4 wheels and 2 👌🏻
Huge fan of this car. I prefer the gtb however. Great video as always Sam.
I’ve watched the auto express, evo, etc reviews of this car…. This is the best review by far. 💥
Not being a huge Ferrari fan, I felt like the new models, especially with the liveries, they can look the same to someone out of the brand (yes same with Porsches, which I'm a fan, and I sound stupid). But Ferraris WERE different. So, the SF90 and F8 Tributo etc... You know... BUT. When I saw this car, knowing how the previous 296 looked, I thought "THIS IS THE CAR", this is freaking nice. After watching your and others' reviews, I really appreciate Ferrari now, moving on with the technology etc, even though everyone likes a V8 or V12.
You're great! Thanks Sam.
Really nice blue colour.
More 296 content please!! 🎉
I love the 296. Especially the GTS. Such an elegant design and that sound is beautiful. I would stick a new exhaust system on it though, just to unlock the full potential of that engine sound.
What a sweetride💙
I'm not sure about this color, but I do think this car looks rather nice. I think Argento Nurburgring or Grigio Alloy and body colored roof would suit this car very well. Big improvement over the F8!
The way you feel in the car would be exactly the way I'd feel.god bless from Australia 🇦🇺
Whoever has been choosing the music for this series has been doing a great job.
Listening to jazz on my weekend drives with a coffee next to me is when I'm at my happiest. These videos are a bit of me.
It's Seen Through Glass Sunday 👍Ferrari looks good, perfect canvas for the tuning experts. Can't wait for the Novitec, LW, RDB LA version. Widened, stanced. Thank you Sam
and I hope you'll get your motorcycle license, I am sure there is a rider inside eager to explore the world on two wheels. Imagine a collab between Itchy Boots and Sam. Cheers boss.
Sam your level of content is just rocketing up in quality!! Absolutely incredible video which I thoroughly enjoyed as always…
To be honest his quality always been Top Notch!
@@tredfxman Yeah you are very correct, but I meant rather in the last couple years it’s on another level. Never meant this to be offensive btw. I’ve been a fan of his since 2016, I’m a proper long term fan aha
Great vid! talk about living the dream!!
Can we get a counter of how many times Sam slapped his leg in this video 😂
To many to count 😂
Damn nice setting
This car looks amazing in blue!
Great cinematography. 👍
With that noted, I would consider an Emira over this due to price and similar styling. 😉👌
Another great video. Best and easiest car videos to watch out of all the big boy UA-camrs. Combined with the podcasts, you’ve got it down to a T. Keep them coming please.
Beautiful car… beautiful video
Sam how do you find in right side road countries, hopping in and out of LHD cars and back into your RHD car......driving on the right side of the road?
Plenty of leg slapping in this one Sam 😮😊
Quality content!
love the rear end and rear three quarter view of the 296 but can't get on with the front lights and the fact the bonnet line doesn't match up with them haha!
The new G-Shock on your wrist looks amazing, Sam. And the 296 sounds pretty good!
Was wondering what the watch was. Know which gshock?
Sam once again demonstrating what can be achieved when you care about content and evolving it. Rather than some certain UK car UA-camrs who stand around saying “lad, yes lad, punchy spec, lad” for 10 mins.
Keep it up Sam 🙌🏼
So where does this car sit in the lineup? It’s a tame SF90? Is it a faster F8? Or is this on the more pedestrian (if such a thing exists) Roma side of the shop?
Sam, having driven the Ferrari F8 tRIBUTO AND THE 296 which one do you prefer to drive?
What a awsome car and amazing trip. They shour know how through a car lunch.
Greata video Sam (as usual).
Looking to the (main) subject: 296GTS (I will be honest, didn't drive it yet) it looks clinical during driving as shown in 4min 20sec. The gear changes are smooth (maybe to smooth?!) and the (exhaust)sound is missing.
We are so lucky (you in the 360) to own the young-timers with single clutch (pownding into next gear) and crackles in the exhaust (when engine is on temps)!
Again, video is great (so job well done) however the main star of the video is not a block-buster as in the past...
Almost McLaren like?! (sorry for swearing on your channel) and maybe the future of all brands....
Still I am looking forward to the first drive of 296GTS but surely will not trade in the F430 on it (as you will not do the 360) correct?
The Ferrari is amazing, BUT...its even more nice to see you rocking the CasiOak (thumbs up).
I love the sound of this engine and I think this Ferrari is a step up over the previous generations
Thanks a lot. I now feel like I need a 296 GTS in my life myself...
Great video!
It’s insane how much better your videos are over most all if not all car UA-camrs. I mean watching a shmee video looks like it has a $5 budget and yours looks like Netflix gave a bunch of money to make films. Well done!
Schmee's videos are bloody awful. Lol.
Schmee is a tool
Without a doubt the best Ferrari for years! Love the 296GTS in that blue! That and a 288GTO in Rosso Corsa would be my perfect Ferrari garage!
9.50 prime example of the STG flap :P
Sam. Hope you went back and raked the tyre tracks on that viewpoint ...like a good golfer should 😁
From this and a few other videos, I get a real R35 gtr vibe from the exhaust... Not sure if that is good or bad. Need to hear one in person
This is the best sounding v6 turbo engine I think I've heard. Deep, sonorous, sound...I'm thinking it sounds better than it looks. The looks are bit wishy washy especially the front lights. Still, great engine.
Very great video as always Sam. As a motorcycle fanatic tbh the only cars that im interested in are cars like this or aston martins etc. haha. The rest nowadays are boring.
Beautifully filmed although disappointingly light on detail, how does the GTS drive compared to the GTB, how quick does the roof fold compared to others and will it fold at 30mph, is the aluminium chassis less stiff than the GTB, is the driving position different, does it weigh more... etc etc
Way more interested in this than the SF90, some angles on the SF look a bit weird, this looks like a complete package, Rj in Oz
I have to agree. The SF90 looked too busy, imo.
Recreating the Magnum P.I. (308 GTS QV) take-off from the layby? 😎
Great video sam
OMG! The battery recharged itself! It’s fantastic! You mean like a Toyota Prius has, for the last 25 years?
Now I understand why the other morning I saw all this blu 296GTBs at the Executive hotel next my home ahaha
the best youtube channel!
Im still totally undecided on whether or not I like the 296 styling. Probably because I haven't seen one in the flesh yet. Which is unusual because normally its never long before I spot a new Ferrari or something somewhere lol
nice watch sam, time to buy AP mod case :p
Ferrari have really nailed the 296, sounds epic for a turbo v6. And looks beautiful too, they've got their mojo back with the styling, the f8 looked a bit of a mess imo.
That car….wow! But let’s face it when you got back in the 360, that sound 👌
I have to make espresso for myself to watch your videos Sam :D
