Hi Sam, To be honest, I watched Carfection and Autotrader first (obviously they went online first), but I have to say as a Ferrari fan, I enjoyed every second of your video as well. All channels are different, you don’t have to be that technical or the fastest on track to bring us pure joy 😁

Hi Sam - I put an order in for a 296GTB almost 6 months ago - I have excitedly been waiting for the reviews and test reports to start filtering through in the British motoring press and I can say with absolute conviction that your review has genuinely added to the pleasure of waiting, planning and eventually speccing (my car is due in early May 2023) my Ferrari. Well done bloke - a great report!
You don’t need to be “journalistic”, just be you because that is what brought you to this point. I started followin your POVs in your Alfa 4C and you have done great 👍🏻
One of your absolute best review videos! Well done Sam! I appreciate the heart-to-heart moments you have with your audience, it really sets you apart from other car channels
Thanks for the fresh take on a car launch, it’s nice to watch a video with personality and genuine reactions to a special event. Keep doing it your way, don’t feel like you have to follow (and I’m sure you don’t!) how others structure their content, the more down to earth approach works just fine.
Thanks for taking us along for the ride Sam! Ferrari seem to be going all in on retro and celebrating their past, with all their new stuff the past few years, even this year’s F1 car looks like it came straight from the 90s. The 296 fills me with so much joy, charismatic V6, can cruise comfortably and a retro body style. I may have just found my new favourite Ferrari! I’ve told this to all my friends, THIS is the car that’s gonna make all of you old-school petrolheads fall in love with modern day supercars again. It’s a SMILE machine, not a numbers machine, that’s why I’m so excited for this little beast! I’m finally gonna feel I belong in the community!
I watch all those other channels mate, and there's a reason why yours is the only one where I have the 'notify' bell selected: your car content is the most genuine and natural on YT. Superb vid, and I reckon this is the best looking Ferrari in years.
Sam - there is no need to feel intimidated by the other journalists. Your presenting style and the quality of your videos is every bit the part in every way. You took us along for an epic ride. What an experience and thanks for filming the car and the location the way you did. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Whilst you essentially fall under the same bracket of 'automotive youtubing' your content offers something very authentic within that space. Appreciated you addressing your initial hesitation on creating content on track and genuinely enjoyed it a lot. Cheers Sam 🤜
one of your best videos sam....thanks really enjoyed this...the scenery, the mood, its not like a youtube video but more like a short documentary, fantastic stuff
Your video on the 296 had definitely been my favourite. Nice to see you actually experience the car and film it in your own way. Not the exact same video that everyone else makes
Always looking forward to your videos the most. I think the aspect that I love is that its a little less about the technical stuff and more about how the car makes you 'feel' - definitely easier to relate to. Travel vlogs is a huge plus too!
Thank you for this spectacular content Sam! Your cinematography is above and beyond many major production car TV shows! Simply incredible every video. I’ve been a subscriber and fan for quite a few years and plan to be here for as long as you do this! Keep the fantastic work up!
Sam, don't worry about your video it was amazing as always. After watching the others do thier own videos yours was different which is why I love your approach to sharing the experience. Keep it up top quality as always and super slick
Your content is specifically the reason why your community is continuing to grow, when we watch those guys for all the real nitty gritty then that's more their thing and what their known for, and if you get what I mean you're becoming known for making slightly more refreshing relatable content (even though it can still be quite unrealistic for some) that is amazing to look at. I can't take my eyes off the footage like I can with other creators because the niche of the 'review/test drive/vlog' is YOUR OWN way of making the most of the opportunities you've been given, is what we come here for. Anyway awesome video as usual, Keep up the hard work Sam!
Hey man , just fyi I have watched casually a bunch of those other supercar/auto review channels but none have had me binge watching UA-cam about Porsche or Ferraris and epic road trips like your channel. Some awesome content and production quality!
Watched all the big journo reviews and they were excellent but honestly I felt like I got more from your video. Beautifully shot, love the story telling, really insightful commentary and all in all a superb video. Ive ridden Monte Blanco on my Aprillia so lovely to see it again. More like this please!
I, like many of your viewers, simply enjoy seeing you live your dream in such a humble manner. Congratulations on the wonderful experiences you get to live. Thank you for sharing them with us in such a positive, entertaining and up-lifting manner. Great video Sam.
The difference between the motoring press videos and your own is the that you are a real Ferrari nut and your enthusiasm for the chance to drive the newest from the brand gives a different perspective on the car rather than the journalistic direction. Never doubt that we all appreciate the content you create.
I really like that you genuinely appreciate the opportunities you’re offered. Also, worth mentioning that I subscribe to all those other channels and dip into them occasionally when something catches my eye, but I consistently come back to your content, your videos and the podcast. One day I may even sip on a cup of your coffee!
That was so SICK. Your the ONLY CHANNEL I watch out of all of those you mentioned. Watching from Australia. Kudos to Ferrari for getting such a cool channel like yours into this sick car!!! BRAVO STG
so glad that you are getting to live your dream and taking us along with you. I love the way you mix the travel vlog with the car experience. Don't change!!
Just so GREAT to see your joy & not least how greatful you are for these experiences Sam :) You are living the DREAM for us! Thanks for taking us along for the ride! So fun to see your almost childlike and funny reactions! Just Pure PASSION, that I so much can relate to, when I recently drove an F8 Tributo 👍👍 Ferrari"s and Italian cars, are just something Special 😍😍
Sam I watch you over any other car chanel or vlogger every time. You offer a very unique, personal and entertaining angle and you are my favourite car vlogger. You are the most consistent and genuine personality with a pure passion for cars and your channel. Don't doubt yourself around all the rest, you wouldn't be there if you weren't. Keep up the great work and content.
Sam, I forget who said it, but a smart man once said "The enemy of happiness is comparison". You've amassed a huge following being genuine and unique, and it is surely to grow. Do not change one bit! How boring would car reviews be if they were all the same???
It just appears to similar in design to the lotus emira for me. I also struggle with the whole V6 issue. I appreciate this is where the industry as a whole is heading but it doesn’t mean I have to like it. Love your content Sam and the style in which you deliver it. It’s like an excited friend telling you a story rather than a robotic statistician reeling off numbers sycophantically.
Another absolutely fantastic video , I don't think you have anything to worry about your videos are far more entertaining to watch and just get better and better - well done you deserve everything that comes your way : )
Sam, you deserve to be there. Two videos I have watched, carfection and yours. To summarise, your video made me feel what it would be like had I been given the keys, surly that’s what makes great content. 💪
Always loved your videos but find myself skipping through parts to get to the action, happily sat through every second of this 20 minute masterpiece! 👏
First time I’ve commented on your channel, been watching since lockdown.. Hats off to you, great work. You really captured the moment well at a Halo event and I got the car thanks to you and the camera work. I love the humbleness and fact that you’re not ashamed of admitting how lucky or excited you are. It’s cool to be genuine. Like Henry on Carfection, #Seenthroughglass is my go to for car entertainment and fact finding. Excellent work. Look forward to the next. Brij 🤙🏽
Waited for your video on the 296, did not watch any journalist video! Yours show the true colors of the car for a regular person! Keep up the good works
That last bit you spoke in the video is exactly why I come here! It seems more relatable than any of the other "professional" journalists. Great work Sam!
Just so you know, I’ve watched only your video on the 296 GTB and none on the other “professional” journalist channels. You just keep doing what you’re doing Sam, it’s great.
One of your best videos yet! Don't compare yourself to journalists, they talk too much. Your video shows us how a person getting into a new Ferrari would experience it for the first time. That is why I love your channel. Keep it up!
I’ve been waiting weeks for this video to drop! Haven’t watched other channels yet, I wantend the STG one first. Well done! Can’t wait to see these appear on the roads!
I love how you just do what you want. Sure, you don’t tell all the stats, but you tell a story, which is sooooooo much more fun. I can’t remember any video of yours (and I’ve pretty much watched all of them, including the podcasts) in which I missed stats or a real review, because ALL of your videos are awesome because of these stories.
Always appreciate your perspective, Sam. Especially with the podcast intertwined. Beautiful shots also. They invite you because you may have some potential customers in your audience! Ok maybe not now, but soon…
One thing I really appreciate We couldn't see any Go pros in the shots in the car while u were driving on Track Just that tiny attention to detail Brilliant work Love the car!
Sam, I thoroughly enjoy your content as I’m sure all of your subscribers do. Most of us would feel the same thing driving around a track. Just keep doing what you do!
It is refreshing to have your opinion. You’re not trying to ram the corporate line down our throats. It is your personal opinion and I feel that is a good way of doing your channel.
Lovely video footage man! Very interesting concept, this "hybrid" Ferrari. Great to see you having tons of fun in an eco-friendly Prancing horse, who would've thunk it?!
Loved this video. Really honest thoughts about the car and really refreshing to hear you talk about comparing and being intimidated. That's something I think I do a lot and it definitely holds me back. Good on you for sharing that, along with the excellent review, camera work and editing. 👍
Since few days ago I've come across multiple videos of 296, I decided to watch 1 video which is from Top gear, and not 1 minute already bored. But when you upload, I know there's gonna be story aside form the technical aspects of the car. And the beautiful vlog as well.
Sam, love your videos and test drives as they are more down to earth and reflect what normal blokes like you and me will feel in the car just driving it to our morning coffee shop or açãi rest stop :) You fit in and have your niche that why I don't miss any of your videos. Sometimes get tired of all the stats, facts and figures and want to say to others, waiting for Sam's opinion as he is like us!! Keep up the excellent work and thanks for another great video.
100% loved your honest and down to earth style. Don’t change a thing. Can’t see you ever getting to big for your boots though tbh even as your channel grows. Love your watch btw.
I think you and shmee give the best allround reviews for cars. Shmee more for the raw car footage and a good review what i like. And you with the more advengeres experience of the car with beautiful shots and clips. Great work and video❤️
Love your videos Sam, I can see the pure excitement and joy, you react how I think I would to that experience, most the “top” journalists act like it’s an everyday day thing to drive a £250,0000 car, your passion comes through. Keep up the great work.
Sam - that was the best video of the 296 GTB i have seen so far! Its becuase i suppose we can relate to you so much more. Please keep it up and do your thing as it is really unique! No need to compare to anyone - i had been waiting for your video and thoroughly enjoyed it
Just so you know. This is the first video of the 296 I clicked on. I watched the whole video and I’m not sure I’ll bother watching anyone else’s. A great Insight into the car and enjoyable viewing of your experience.
Fantastic video again Sam! Just keep doing your thing dude. I was more eager to watch your video about the 296 than Carfection or any ones else’s. The video seems to be more “real” and we get to see the passion for cars that we all share. Great stuff man!
Just to say I watched the Carfection and some of the Rory video and then waited to watch yours as I think your take on it does add a different dimension. Appreciate your honesty and openness too. Keep doing your thing.... Would have liked a bit more on your thoughts on the car vs the rest of the range but I appreciate the day was full on - maybe something you can talk about on Behind the Glass?
Sam, don't sell yourself short, you're as good as Rory and all the others. Your content is relatable and you're always so enthused, it makes it such an enjoyable watch. Hopefully you'll get more new car tests in, thoroughly enjoy them, along with the rest of hour content. Keep doing what you do
This is the best of all the 296 GTB videos yet Sam, awesome job!!! Some of the journo's are so wrapped up in digging in to the finite details of the car they forget what driving is all about...the GRIN factor! Watching this just reaffirms my decision to get a 296. The only downer is I've just been told by Ferrari that my allocation is still almost 2 years away...hey, ho :(
I don't know if I want to give more compliments to the car, or to you and your style of presenting... because both are stellar! Keep it coming, I am 100% grateful for this content! Sam, you're a flipping boss!
I feel like this gets said every new video but you're absolutely killing it with the production. I could feel the atmosphere through those intro shots, makes me want to book a flight!
Don't be intimidated by those other professionals Sam. Your videos stand apart and on their own merits: a regular Joe who can appreciate these cars like the rest of us regular Joe's, albeit accompanied by amazing cinematography! Keep up the good work mate, I always get excited when I see one of your vids drop!
Do not fear to make your own way. I watch your videos because I like your style and honesty. Most people are not able to drive this Ferrari to the max and also do not want to. Thanks for your channel.
I have to say I enjoyed the track driving element of the video! You should do more. Sometimes it’s nice to watch a mere mortal drive something round a track so we know what fun we could have behind the wheel. As much as I love watching Chris Harris et al on track, I know that I can’t drive like he can. So don’t worry about comparing yourself to those channels, we don’t. 👏
The quality and production level of your videos is unmatched. Not even counting the fact that you film them yourself. Love all the recent content Sam! Always killing it.
Loved it Sam......and you deserve all the opportunities like this that come to you. i know your not crazy keen on "Car reviewing" but this was so much more engaging for me to be honest.... Well done
Loved this video. Super cars and coffee videos are your best. Some beautiful shots. Looking forward to more detail about this on the Podcast this week, and how envious Tony will be😂
I had to laugh near the beginning of the video you got into the car with what seemed like a French accent, in an Italian car, in Spain!!! 😆 You do a fantastic job at presenting your experience through genuine feelings and great camera work. No need to apologize about “why or how you were invited there”. Every good or great journalist starts someplace in time and one day younger, or less experienced journalists will say the same about your exceptional experiences.
Sometimes a ‘real world’ first impression is better than a clinical review. It’s lovely to see genuine appreciation and fun. You deserve that spot just as much as the next guy. Enjoy. Ed
You worry about how your content compares to the journalists, but I guarantee most people watching their reviews have been waiting for your video. Facts and stats are good, but you took us along for the full experience! That’s the content I look forward to most 👊🏻

You know this week I've watched one video of this car....Henry Catchpole's. Other than his, this was the only I was really keen to see. Thanks Sam!
Amazing video man! They just keep getting better and more enjoyable to watch, so keep it up! Cinematography is next level as well
The difference between the motoring press videos and your own is the that you are a real Ferrari nut and your enthusiasm for the chance to drive the newest from the brand gives a different perspective on the car rather than the journalistic direction.
We need more of this perspective on the internet - keep the content coming! I'd rather watch this than a technical track test and review any day.
Just so GREAT to see your joy & not least how greatful you are for these experiences Sam :)
You are living the DREAM for us!
Thanks for taking us along for the ride!
So fun to see your almost childlike and funny reactions!
Just Pure PASSION, that I so much can relate to, when I recently drove an F8 Tributo 👍👍
Ferrari"s and Italian cars, are just something Special 😍😍
Sam I watch you over any other car chanel or vlogger every time. You offer a very unique, personal and entertaining angle and you are my favourite car vlogger. You are the most consistent and genuine personality with a pure passion for cars and your channel. Don't doubt yourself around all the rest, you wouldn't be there if you weren't. Keep up the great work and content.
I'm so jealous and at the same time so happy for you. The explanation when you entered the car... spot on enthusiast! Wish you all the best.
Another absolutely fantastic video , I don't think you have anything to worry about your videos are far more entertaining to watch and just get better and better - well done you deserve everything that comes your way : )
Very pleased you didn’t play the embargo. I’m sure I don’t speak just for myself in saying that I waited for your video anyway! Cheers Sam
Brij 🤙🏽
4:43 that genuine thank you 🙏🏾 is why I keep coming back here !!!
Dude... Your content is so enjoyable to watch... Thanks for being such a huge asset to the car community!
One thing I really appreciate
We couldn't see any Go pros in the shots in the car while u were driving on Track
Just that tiny attention to detail
Brilliant work
Love the car!
This and behind the glass are my two favourite channels to watch in the auto world of UA-cam Sam. Keep doing what you do!
Sam, your content is so welcoming. You present info in a very approachable and digestible pace and manner. Please keep doing what you already are!
Love that you always take a unique angle sam with getting a coffee and being different to other embargo videos
Absolutely loved that video! Was waiting for it! It looked epic! Congrats! Loved the fpv drone work over the bridge, that looked class!
The only downer is I've just been told by Ferrari that my allocation is still almost 2 years away...hey, ho :(
Honestly. What a bloody incredible video. The filming. The stats. The facts. The lot. Bloody superb content!
Best video of this car yet, not finished any of the other ones. Also well done for smashing it in traction off, impressive!
Great fun Sam. Far better production and editing quality then many of your larger UA-cam buddies... great stuff 👏
Best video on the 296 I have seen and I think this is one of your best films ever! Great watching. It had emotion.
Great video and good for you for being grateful for what you have. Keep having fun - no one should hold that against you.
Well done
You're a stand up guy. The authenticity it your videos is second to none.
You do a fantastic job at presenting your experience through genuine feelings and great camera work.
Enjoy. Ed
