Ah that pub is just fantastic Duane.
There are a load of little side rooms, also all full of memorabilia where you can sit and relax with a pint or two. And there is a deck out front overlooking the harbour and out to sea
Plus in the front bar a table next to a little window which looks out over the coast - we’ve never managed to bag that table yet! 😃😃
And the locals are so friendly - we had some brilliant conversations

I can agree that Bamburgh is probably one of the best castles in UK, however I would contest the idea of northumbrian beaches being nicest in UK 😜😜. I loved the pub - it looked so cool and atmospheric. Beautiful sunset too 😍😍
Ah thanks - ha yes the beaches was always going to be a discussion point. We love it there and they are definitely in the top 5!! (Maybe the Isle of Harris wins that title)

Hi Dave and Sue- I can see why you love this coastal area! Great variety of birds and wildlife, and amazing beaches! I would love to walk along the beach there- looks so peaceful! We like going to the beach in all seasons, even if it's a bit cold and stormy. Sure would be fun to check out the Pub, especially if it's the best in the UK!! :) 😁👍👍
Oh it’s a beautiful area Jen - maybe our favourite in the UK.!those beaches are spectacular - they just go on for miles!! And it is a wonderful pub - it’s like going into a museum, there are little side rooms all with memorabilia of fishing and a little table in the corner of the main bar with a tiny window looking over the harbour and out to sea.
We do love it in there! But the whole area is wonderful!!

I started this video a few weeks ago, but I got called away with something Bill needed help with, and I didn't get back to it until today. What a beautiful area. Love the beaches. We can see why you love this pub. Great nautical decor. The castles were amazing,with great views of the water. Who could ask for more? The ASMR at the end was really relaxing.

Ah you guys will love it around there Kev. Some fantastic walking and there’s a place called Ros Castle (an old hillfort) from where you can see the Cheviot and seven castles!!!

This was fantastic to watch and enjoy. Wowee, the scenic beaches and Bamburgh castle in the backdrop, just wonderful. Have to agree with you, some of the most stunning beaches of the UK. This was fantastic to see. Pub looked lovely too, lots of character. Did indeed enjoy the walk. Love the castles you showcased, we're planning on doing Warkworth, Dunstanburgh and Bamburgh, just need the time to get up there. But the views of Bamburgh and the views from Bamburgh make it it a must visit. You can see all of the islands and Castles from Beadnell which is absolutely our favourite place. Ebbs Nook has a fascinating history too - maybe more than all the castles.
Just a brilliant area. You guys will love it.

Absolutely love the new look channel guys🤩👌. This was a fantastic little adventure, had it all really, great scenery, gorgeous coastline (you can't beat the sound of the waves), abundant wildlife, and a beautiful little pub too🤩🍻. My grandad always use to say 'you can't get lost in mainland Britain'😂. Just a little detour on the way to the pub👍. Wow we never would have said you could dolphin spot from the beach in Northumberland, stunning! ❤ 🐬 Loved the drone shot at the end, what a gorgeous view, brave flying over the water too👊👌. Fantastic video as always guys, keep the adventures coming🤩

Hi guys. Sorry for the late reply - we’re in France and in and out of data🤦🏻♂️. Still learning 😃😃.
Oh yes the dolphins were amazing to see. We stayed in a house with a view of the sea and that video was taken from the upstairs bedroom. We had Swallows nesting and Swifts flying round the house and a Barn Owl hunting each evening. Just brilliant.
This was at Beadnell which we must get back to soon.

Loved that pub - like stepping back in time. Great to see so much drone work as it highlighted just how clear the water is. The sunset was lovely too but for me it was capturing the dolphins 🐬 jumping 😍
We stayed in a property along the front at Beadnell - and three nights out of six they were swimming and jumping - it’s so beautiful there. The beaches go on forever and the Castles are amazing
That pub - we only showed the from bar - it’s got a load of little side rooms which are also filled with memorabilia plus a deck that looks over the harbour and out to sea. Love it up there - and it never seems that busy - a bit of a hidden gem mate.
We love Northumberland and Bamburgh Castle is well worth a look around, as is a good number of them up there too. Shame the weather changed for you and we always have a canny fish n chips when we stop at Seahouses. never been in the Olde Ship Inn mind but sure will be next time we are there. I took my 5 year old grandson for an overnighter about 10 years ago and we visited Warkworth, Bamburgh, Alnwick and Chillingham Castles in a very busty but great weekend. Cheers Alan
Isn’t it a brilliant area Alan. Love it up there. Ooh yes try out that pub. We only showed the front bar but there are a lot of little rooms with tables and seafaring memorabilia

Cheers mate. Yes that was a good week away. Couldn’t believe the place we stayed. Swifts racing past, Swallows and House Martins nesting in the eaves and a Barn Owl hunting in the evening. And the Dolphins to top it all off.

We do so love Northumberland- it’s become one of our very favourite places.
There is a real atmosphere about the place. A constant sense of history, of wildlife, of space. It’s not one of the UK’s honeypot locations so maybe that’s why we love it.
The UK has some amazing wild places, Scotland in particular - but the beauty of Northumberland and it’s amazing coastline is up there with the best of it.

Gorgeous place mate. Pretty much a hidden gem. When you look at the honeypot locations in the UK, this place is better (in our opinion obviously) !! There’s never that many about. The beaches go on forever. October is always our favourite.
The pub is fantastic - we only showed the front bar - there are loads of little bars along the corridor and there’s a big deck out the front overlooking the sea

Think we must have missed this because of the name change Dave. This was a real Saturday night joy for us. Northumberland is super high on our list for a short break Bamburgh is the number one rated seaside resort in the UK, im glad you agree! You got some very varied weather, didn’t we all? Thats a cracking looking Pub. Stunning photography. Ive even referenced you on videos and comments of late as North Bedfordshire Nature, right the new name will stick! You have definitely been the final link into selling this top rated in the UK place to us! 👍
Cheers Nick. I’m from the South Coast originally and I don’t think there’s so many iconic castles and beautiful beaches anywhere like in Northumberland. Maybe North Wales but the beaches are not comparable (IMHO obviously).
We love it up there mate - it’s rapidly become our go to place.
Sorry haven’t been around much at the moment. We’ve had loads to sort out at home and then prepare for a long trip into Europe. Currently in Orleans We haven’t been abroad since before the pandemic so it’s been an exciting time. We’re gonna catch up on everyone’s vids when we get back - we’ve had some sketchy Wi-Fi
The name change has confused everyone - I don’t really know what I’m doing on Social Media. We’re still waiting for our van but hopefully we will be out travelling everywhere again soon. 🤞🤞

That pub is a must see. We didn’t film it all - there are little side rooms with tables filled with memorabilia - it really is like a museum. But such a lovely atmosphere and there’s a little window in the main bar that overlooks the harbour and the Farne Islands.

Great video, Dave. It's a bit far from your home (not the north of Scotland, but still). Very interesting coastline. The drone worked well👍The mysterious lady in the hat on the bench by the coast was unsurpassed🙏

Hi guys I missed this notification while out camping I think but wow yes this is so beautiful here, love the whole area , the beach at the start was gorgeous and like you said, definitely worth a trip . Loved the hike to your fav pub in the UK , it looked so atmospheric in there and Warkworth ( if i spelt it correctly ) looked beautiful and the drone footage was so good and showed off the area really well especially over the water. Cute bird footage and dolphins and the photo of Sue in the bench at the end looking at the sunset was so lovely. Great video Dave ~ Anna 👍

Sorry for the late reply. We’re in deepest France and the signal has been rubbish. We’ve done a quick trip around some European towns and cities and now in the Dordogne.
The weather, though, isn’t any better than in Britain 😃😃

Northumberland was amazing. We do really love it up there - it’s become one of our favourites! And the pub was amazing. One of those wonderful traditional and unchanged hostelries. There are lots of little side rooms full of memorabilia and a wonderful little window seat in the main bar which looks over the harbour and Farne Islands.

A beautiful roadtrip you have been on with a nice mixture of nature and rural/small-town charm. It gives the urge to visit the same places and while I would probably behave un-british I would certainly understand more than in Germany or Belgium :) So I think your road trips in the times ahead will be both interesting and fun to follow as you find nice places and charming wild-life (and pubs with great beer:) Hope you are having a lovely weekend! Oh Cara you have to go there - we didn’t discover the area until about six years ago. It’s become near enough our favourite place in the UK. So many spectacular coastal Castles - the beaches are incredible and inland the scenery and history is also wonderful

And we were just blown away! Beadnell and Seahouses especially. The Castles are amazing and the beaches - just wow!!
Plus the Farne Islands boat trip is incredible! Didn’t do it this time but up there in my top five wildlife experiences.
Ha yep the pub is fantastic- we didn’t show it all - loads of little nooks and crannies and a real history lesson along all the walls. Plus a great deck overlooking the harbour and islands

Cheers mate - yep The Old Ship is much bigger than we showed. Loads of nooks and crannies and a window that looks over the harbour. Plus a big deck that also has amazing views of the Farne Islands
