Love the series of jutting out bricks on the supports. Conveys the idea of being climbable. An alternative to ladders, which are always a pain to build from scratch.
@@DiceChatter no problems duder, im just flabbergasted you actually made the bridge haha i knew it would be cool, but the way you made it... man did it every turn out amazing!
Love the bridge, great work! I especially like the idea of using distinctive colors to make it easier for "calling out" at the table. Awesome idea, I'm going to be thinking about that the next time I build terrain.
A good theme, useful to all kind of game. I started with my first pieces of terrain using an old Warhammer cityscapes houses as template, next pieces were more freeform, and finally, now I make templates for every terrain that works for me, but after making it. But is good some planning ahead. Love how the visual aspect of the bricks follow the same way, it gives a cohesive look to the table. Well done!
@@DiceChatter wow, I actually typed this out on another video and it must have seemed very confusing when it showed up on this instead hahaha. Thanks for taking the time to parse my ramblings!
You could use the basic geometry to create some windows that are halfway between the gothic ones that stack three or more arches, and a roman trefoil arch. Or you make a building that is raised up on a series of those arches like you might imagine would be in a drained canal city.
@@DiceChatter Absolutely, I don’t use the same process to create my terrain, I do 3D modelling for it. But I want to incorporate some of the foam medium into it. No matter how great 3D modelling is, it can truly benefit from how you design terrain. My thing is modularity with a tile system as a base. In that aspect 3D printing is perfect. By combining both can be unique, like kitbashing existing models. I just started using foam glued to my tile system and really curious how it will all look at the end.
@@DiceChatter maybe someday hopefully or get one for the club or something ^^ Atm really enjoying i have a shelve where I can store my armies and still to build models on ^^
I need to start applying that spackle trick, as it makes it ten times better. Just not sure what type I need though? Anyone know? Especially in Dutch, so I can just buy it easily.
a nerdass thing that only annoys me is that you should put a keystone at the top of your arches. Not to many people put them in their builds that they and they are kind of critical to an arch being structurally sound. The romans where big fans of the concept.
That foundation is hollow and really just cereal box? I'm shocked at how strong it is. I'm wondering how much we could do with zero bricks. (Sorry, I know, that's speaking blasphemy here. But I do wonder.)

Exactly what I was thinking! Great minds do think alike!
I thought the same thing about the sides being climbable.
Criminal how small your channel is. Lord of bricks, king of spackle!
DUUUUUUUUDE the bridge turned out so awesome!!! Way better than I even imagined it would look like! Love it
Thanks a ton, James! Glad it worked out! 😀

Dude! You are a genius and a true artist. What a beauty!
A quality build Donny! I never considered using templates for my builds, but it is actually an awesome idea!
Thanks, Cage! Maybe it's the "work smarter, not harder" mentality! It helped me out a ton. 🥰
zorpazorp has a ton of amazing templates for loTR buildings but can be used for mordheim , frostgrave too

Yes, exactly what I was going for! And please use the idea. We all pick stuff up from others, it only betters our own creations.
You've got some really good designs, thanks for all the ideas!
The end result of the bridge is incredible, also the video is really well made and entertaining to watch, instantly subscribed =D
Thank you! I really do appreciate it!
Great stuff - impressive how well you matched the colours to the existing brick-work
Hahaha! I surprised myself as well!
I couldn't quite tell what to do with the template the first time I saw it. But that bridge is super nice! The hole especially is a great touch.
Thank you very much Keggers! And don't worry, the template still throws me off...

Wow! Such high praise! Thanks a lot. And good to hear others do a bit of planning as well! 🤓
This channel is waaay too underrated
A+ effort Dice Chatter! I love the color palette used for this.
Thank you so much, glad you like it 🤩
really nice build, I like the template and how the build turned out.
Thank you! 🥰
Supercool! Way too much work for me to ever commit to, but it looks amazing. Can't wait to see a battle report there.
Hahaha! It wasn't too bad. A little bit of effort can go a long way. Excited to get the build on the table for a report as well!
Epic! Very clean!
Thank you much! 😬
Been following your work from the start and it just keeps getting better and better!!!
Wow! Thank you Dunker! One of these days I'm sure I'll have a stinker of a build, but it is not this day!
Man, I love your builds and I love your music selection! What delights do we listen to? It’s good every time.
I subscribe to a service called Epidemic Sounds. Pretty much use all their tunes in my videos.
@@DiceChatter you make delightful sound choices. 👍

Hey Ben! Love this comment. I appreciate the insight. I find this to be true as well. “Work with what you got, and don’t try and move mountains.”

@@DiceChatter well good because that will give me more things to steal right back😝

looks amazing ^^ this series really wanna make me buy a foam cutter and stuff and than i realize i have no space q.q
Of course, I am going to say you should get yourself a foam cutter, but I understand the limitation of space... 😐

I'm sorry, but I honestly can't recall. I got him off Esty years ago... 😐
Well your template is a litle bit late xD. Already building my own bridge but im gonna try using spackle the way you did. great video nonetheless
