Today we are building a demonic tower that will work perfectly on my wargaming board! This terrain build was a tough one, and I am excited to use it in some upcoming battle reports.
This build is perfect for tabletop games such as Frostgrave, wargaming, or other tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons!
This is a great way to get started in making some tabletop terrain for new folks and those that are experienced tabletop crafters as well.
He who fights monsters in my flat should be careful, because the table is a bit rickety and if you bump into it, the monsters will fall on the floor and potentially tumble under the sofa. It has been a problem.
Thank you for this comment! Hahaha! 😂
@@Kroeghe "Daddy...there's a monster under the sofa...again...!"
Oh Donald you madman! This looks freaking amazing! I am proud of you man! Way to challenge yourself and deliver! 👍💙💛💙
Thanks so much, Leif! Your comment means a lot my friend! 🤓
Looks like you gotta come up with something to top this one in your next build video after your done this current project lmao
FREEKING AMAZING!!!!!!! Awesome job there Big Guy!!!!!! Ya pushing the comfort zone can really broaden your horizons!!!!! WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!
Thanks so much!!
My own terrain builds for Reign in Hell were fairly simple and basic, but overall, I was happy with such things.
Im considering a desecrated church or ruined temple dedicated to old lords of hell for a Cabal themed around the faith of hell itself.
Great Stuff!
As always.
Most Underrated channel in the Game.
Thanks, DireDen! Really do appreciate the kind words.
Wow! Just... wow! This looks amazing, and a worthy addition to your amazing terrain pieces!
Woah. This is an astounding piece. And the skull is hand sculpted? [bows in respect]
Time and patience. And you can make anything look half decent 😅
@@DiceChatter agree. Although, calling that half decent might be underselling how cool this piece is 😂
Please never change. The way you present your content is both wholesome and badass at the same time. Always relaxing and inspiring to watch. Hard to explain, but haven't found anyone else on YT with this delivery style. Keep it up and thanks!
Wow, I really appreciate that! I'll do my best to not change!
Aww heck yes!! A Reign In Hell centerpiece is right up my alley! And yours is a spectacular one, at that!
Hey Donnie! Long time lurker, first time posting. Really enjoyed this build! Gave me a lot of inspiration to design one myself. Hope it will look half as good as yours. Great job!
Go for it! And welcome! Always happy to read comments like yours! It inspires me as well! 💀
Your sculpting is awesome!!!!!
Love the unique style of this terrain piece ❤😊❤
Thank you so much! 🥰
@@DiceChatter you are welcome 🤗
That looks so freaking good! Awesome work on that skull!
Thanks a bunch, Daydam!
Amazing! I love the texture on the skull and the chains. Great piece!
Hey Justin! Thanks, buddy. I'm just happy it all worked out!
Looks amazing, great job!
Thank you! I’m just happy it all worked out 😅
What an incredible terrain build. I honestly thought from the thumbnail that the skull was from a halloween mask or something, so the fact that it was sculpted from scratch makes it all the more impressive. The whole thing turned out awesome and is certainly a centerpiece to be proud of.
Joooooooooe! Thank you! Really do appreciate the kind words.
Awesome! TY!
You bet! 🥰
Very cool sir. I would never have thought of something like that. Looks amazing!
Thanks, Ryan! Glad you like it!
This is so unbelievably cool!
Amazing job on the sculpt.
Thanks, jtrow! Appreciate it my friend!
The hand-sculpted skull is amazing! When you were adding wooden platforms inside the skull I was reminded of a piece of Warcry terrain I have, which has a skull supported by a meat tree that's used as a lookout tower, but yours is far larger and more impressive!
Formidable! You really nailed the skull! I can only second trying something new. Just tried the toilet paper water effect and it turned out perfect!
Sometimes we even surprise ourselves. Glad it worked out!
It pains me to hear you say you have no idea what you're doing, when you very clearly have the fundamental building blocks to make great art. You observe, you improvise and experiment, you make mistakes and you adapt. At the end of the day, all of your skills, experience and intuition puts you leagues ahead of what any single sculpting class might teach you, and I think you should be proud of that because it allows you to make fantastic art pieces in miniature. Thanks for sharing, and don't downplay your accomplishments!
That is an hell of an intro 🔥
Hahha! Glad you enjoyed it! 😈
Thank you for all your amazing content! Love watching the light hearted and inspiring style be it the terrain creation or the awesome battle reports , keep up the good work sir
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoy them!
It's like a grim dark Castle Greyskull. Really cool!
For a challenge, I'd be interested to see you so the opposite. Going for a clean, well maintained piece. Ruins and ancient monoliths are always cool, but doing something clean and precise is a unique terrain build.
Not a bad idea! I'd probably have a tough time 😅
Damn that looks metal \m/ , I would have used an old Halloween skull but this build is badass, especially using your own head.
Also good tip you had to not lose why your making it and have playable areas for minis.
Glad you enjoyed the creation! Appreciate the comment 😊
Well that came out super well!
Thank you! 🥰
I miss a good scrap in my gaming table. This help a lot! Thx
This was such an awesome build!!
Thank you!
I really love you style in terrain-building. Greetings from Germany ❤
Grüße meine Freundin!
I really enjoy your builds and your videos. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, will do!
Holy Hell man ! What a step-up !
Wow, thank you! I appreciate it!
I've always loved that Nietzsche quote, since playing Baldurs Gate 1 for the first time as a young lad - there's something "primal" about it. Great build ;)
Couldn't agree more! Primal, is a perfect word!
I have been a gamer since 1979... yup old fart. I have never seen anything so awesome as this build! I enjoy your films on frostgrave best fantasy game ever and you turn it into great tv!
Thank you, John! Glad you enjoyed the build and the reports!
"the broken stairs" from the Rangers of shadow deep campaign would look fantastic with these octagon shapes 😉
DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait until this Halloween when you open up Donny's Mask Shop on Etsy haha, great job man!! I was wondering what you were cooking up for the next vid and you didnt disappoint!!
Hahaha! Glad you enjoyed the build, my friend!
If you do something similar you might consider using sculpting mesh as part of your armature. It will make your process far easier.
Thank you! This is a brilliant idea. I'll have to remember this one.
It's amusing that you describe this as pushing your sanity, but not using several hundreds of foam bricks 🤔 Amazing work,
and great use of texturing on the skull!
Hahhahaha! 😂 Thanks, Keggers. What an observation! And I appreciate your comments 😊
"Hi kids, the word of the day is... OCTAGONAL!"
Hahhaha! 😅
This looks awesome, it reminds me of the masks the Predators wear!
Great skull!
Thank you💀
Amazing as always!
Driving some bamboo skewers down through the length of the long octagonal stone pieces might give them some rigidity. May even stop them snapping in the future, since they're clearly load-bearing now.
Not a bad idea at all!
Damn man, that came out great.
Thank you, my friend.
another fun build ^^ looks really good
ive challanged myself recently trying to make an outpost, it looks good but i should use more ref pics etc to take inspiration from ^^
Thanks, SpooKimi! I bet the outpost looks great!
Dude your minis look awesome you should do a video on mini painting you do great also good video keep them coming!
Possibly, soon! And thank you!
I see Dice Chatter, I click
Loving your builds
DC casually sculpting the start of a bionicle mask
Hahaha! I think some childhood memories snuck into this creation!
hey maybe you can print some binonicle masks to use as scatter terrain plenty of em look like totem masks when painted properly
cool piece!
Thank you!
Cool project
Great video, that was fun.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Such talent and skill ☺☺
Very kind of you to say!
That looks epic!
Thanks as always!
You silly billy, old Halloween decorations would have done the job pretty well for the skull
This silly billy wanted to challenge himself, haha! 😄
More! More more more!
I can see some Reign in Hell games coming 🎉🎉🎉
Maybe...
6 6 6, the number of the beast. -Iron Maiden
The one for you and me!
Nice
Thanks! 😃
Wood would made a better armature. But that's don't matter anymore lol. Excellent build and video
Thank you! I didn't want to use wood because the clay needed to go in the oven. 🔥
Cool
Wicked!
Damn...that intro...for a second I heard Matt Mercer talking...😅
Wow! Quite the compliment, thank you! 😅
🤟😝🤘
What are the miniatures of the video
A mix of GW, reaper, and some random 3D prints.
@@DiceChatter oh well but i want to know what is the Golden shield demon miniature of the video ^_^
