Amber refusing to say yes or agree with Camille is literally hilarious.
Camille: you arrive to Australia in May of 2015 correct?
Amber: uh, it was the end of spring on the 15th year of the second millennium, yes.
Camille: and you had been arguing with Mr Depp for 2 hours, correct?
Amber: it had been about 119 minutes, maybe 121.
Camille: it was night time, so it was dark outside, correct?
Amber: I wouldn't agree with that characterization.

yeah Elaine strikes me as one of those people who's still on that toxic masculinity thing and doesn't think men can be victims of DV. She probably finds this all amusing, thinks the jury will too, and that's why she feels comfortable mocking him.

Absolutely couldn't agree more. Also Heards legal team has oddly released a statement to TMZ, stating Depp's legal team will more than likely " victim shame " Heard during their cross examination etc yet the clear survivor and the true victim in the relationship, is Depp. Every single thing Heard alleged happened to her, no pics, video or audio supported her claims and everything Depp alleged happened, was supported by factual evidence, audio of Heard admitting to hitting him, saying she on the stand that she has never and could never hit Depp and photo her legal team submitted of Depp passed out on the couch, ice cream melting in his lab, also showed on the table, a bruise kit which is used to create fake bruises and injuries. Dr. Kipper also said the marks on her arm is self inflicted, cops saw no injuries, the nurse Heard claims was hit by or nearly hit by a Red Bull can, stated that never happened and right before that nurses deposition, Heard tried to get her nursing license revoked for not reporting alleged abuse but everyone's lying according to Amber.

I’m sure that her hostility is the reason Heard retained her after the UK trial. It tracks with how she behaved with other witnesses. I wanna say it was Rottenborne that had the audacity to ask Mrs Dombrowsky something along the lines of “and you think that a disagreement would justify you being abused?” It was such bullshit, Chew immediately jumped up.

Having had a Line Manager at work tell me how "disappointed in me' he was that I was still struggling with mental health issues and suicidal thoughts that affected my attendance at work when for 18 months I'd been in fear of my life every day, I can tell you disrespectful discounts and torment like that can cut very deep, especially if your gaslighting abuser would mock and discount your feelings. IMO, what Elaine did there was Abuse of someone vulnerable - whether she believes him or not, he has not been proven yet in a court of law that he isn't a victim

Can everyone just stop pitting male DV victims versus female DV victims because it really shouldn't matter. As a woman who is the survivor of DV abuse, rape, incest and molestation I'm getting tired of everyone essentially victimizing female DV victim simply because they're female.
It's not necessar. You can just say a DV victim should never be mocked by an attorney in court end of story. it's not an either or situation. DV victims should have access to resources, support and help and be able to have their day in court and protection.
Statistically, and I'm sorry to say it's true but it is just a simple fact that every third day in America a female is shot and killed with a gun by their DV partner. Statistically, the amount of female DV victims is exponentially higher than vice versa.
Female DV victims and I know this because I had to try and utilize all the resources out there for me have no real protections, not much rights and little to no social service help. I've learned in California that someone who goes to jail even if it was for DV abuse gets prioritized over the victim when it comes to social resources. This is because the ACLU works so hard on behalf of prisoners rights. There are tons of programs to get those people that have been to jail jobs, housing and the like and yet none exist for DV victims. Despite what you all think because nonprofits use PR reps just like companies to keep their donations and their government grants high and misrepresent how much actual assistance they provide.

It's important to talk about how male and female victims are treated differently, because one way or the other, society DOES treat victims differently because of their gender and it's super not cool. The issue doesn't get resolved by putting everyone under the same umbrella, because not everyone is dealing with the same issues. The point is a female victim would have never been mocked by a male atty in court. The fact that a male victim is mocked by a female atty in court without the batting of a single eye is telling of society's view of male victims.

      it's not just about control.
she has very strong abandonment issues. he does it to hurt her and it works extremly well. it is soo satisfying because she deserves it so much.
an ex of mine would start fights with me being very aggressively provoking me useing her knowledge of me to make it extra hurtful, every time i wanted to leave she was clawing into me and/or started backin me into a corner bt it's not like she would pause the fight while doing it. One time I had to escape over the scaffold outside of our house.

Why have I not seen anything mentioned about this? I feel like this was such a massive slip-up on her part:
    1:00:36 -
“If I wanted to leak things about Johnny, I could have done that in a much more successful way, in a bigger way. For years.”
I feel like most of my life since I discovered Johnny in POTC at like age 12 (now 31), I never really saw much of Johnny in tabloids, gossip magazines, or on gossip sites… Cuz he’s always been pretty quiet post-90s… I’m sure there were some pap shots that would make it into those things on occasion, but never anything scandalous outside of the 90s.
When he got involved with Amber, all of a sudden there was almost always something in there or on the covers about him. It’s something I never really thought of but it suddenly dawned on me over the course of the trial.
And I thank Rottenborn for bringing attention to this for me during his cross on Johnny when reading all those negative headlines. They’re all from his time with Amber and afterwards. I’m kind of amazed this was something that didn’t come up on cross, even if just briefly to shine a spotlight on that.
I almost feel like when she got cut off while saying “for years” (to make way for the extortion question from Camille) , that she could have potentially led to her outing herself further… possibly in the direction of leaking info to tabloids & such.
I’m open to this possibly being me stretching. I just… The headlines highlighting on Johnny’s cross really got me suspicious about timing of those things.

I think the moment you hear Elaine say, “I am trying” with so much frustration made me feel sorry for her. Her Client is difficult. If she’s so combative with Johnny even with Camille, you can’t imagine how she is with her lawyers behind the cameras and juries. There is empathy for Elaine having to make the impossible for the Client.
Truth is Amber is losing this for 2 reasons. 1 - she doesn’t want to let the lawyers drive the proceedings instead she felt she could do better and then she drives the case towards the brick wall. It is frustrating. Just because she been to trials and won several times in the past doesn’t mean she’s now smarter than her lawyers. But she thinks so. 2 - She has lost public and media support that could otherwise provide the benefit of doubt for the allegations (of defamation) like what she enjoyed in the past (with the divorce etc). Now she’s not just being opposed in court but rather by the whole world. She did it to herself because she choose to be arrogant and decided to throw everyone under the bus including those who are there supporting her through this trial.
Whatever the outcome is in court - she has lost because of these 2 factors, especially her reputation as a credible person of integrity which is important to sustain oneself in the industry. Unfortunately AH doesn’t see that. She sees it as her weak representations in court. She sees it as everyone failing her.

Then you get into this trial, and you're dealing with the fact her own evidence makes her look terrible, and then you're dealing with her and she seems a bit of a nightmare, and by this point you're probably exhausted of the while thing but you've just got to keep going.

We are observing a woman (AH) who is living in an alternative reality. She has a narrative which she absolutely believes in and which she intends to stick to. Trouble is she has been far too bold in her accusations and this allows the contradictions to be exposed. The ONLY evidence in her favour is her OWN view of it all because she doesn't have convincing photo evidence of bodily injury, she doesn't have corroborative medical records, and she doesn't have authoratitive witnesses (such as police officers). Also the audio tapes clearly show JD wanting to get away, her admitting hitting him, and her becoming emotional when he tries to get away. She has adopted his narrative here. What makes it all worse is that she wants to appear perfect at every turn and so she is willing to attribute the blame to anyone else she can conveniently hang it on. It's an unreal narrative, an unreal display of emotion, and I'm afraid just about everyone can see the deception.

Then he bends down to check on her hurt toes and she kicks the door open into his head then punches him in the jaw.
Amber then masterfully gaslights everyone by saying SHE was hiding in a room and he was trying to get in when the whole interaction happened. She just completely lies despite agreeing with him on the recording. She doesn't even say that johnny was wrong, she just pretends it says something else! It's insane!

The one thing that I find really weird about the whole situation of the marriage is that JD facilitated AH’s friends being so close. He gave them free places to stay in proximity to AH. He invited them to a go with them to the island.
Generally an abuser will try to distance their victims from their supports. They alienate their family and friends and set boundaries on their friendships. They don’t invite them to live in adjacent penthouses and nearby homes…
They react more with the resentment that AH showed when she got upset because JD was out later than he said he would be at his friends house. Or upset that they are leaving their presence to go and be with someone else…even their children. Like when AH framed out on JD leaving her presence to go be with his daughter and potentially friends inside his studio.
In all their testimony there has not been any evidence or even an allegation that JD ever alienated her from her friends. In fact all of these big relationships seem to have been distanced AFTER the relationship ended. Which i find very interesting? She isn’t friends with ANYONE that was with her 5 years ago. So weird.

I interpreted Ms. Vasquez raising that Mr. Depp won't look at her to demonstrate when he said something, he followed through with it. Whereas when AH said something (like that she had donated every penny of the divorce settlement), she did not follow through. My ex has NPD and I see AH exhibiting many of the same behaviours. She repeatedly projects her behaviour onto Mr. Depp. Among other things, she accused him of abuse when she herself appears guilty of this and without any basis accuses him of conducting a smear campaign when it is looking like she is the one who leaked potentially damaging information with strategic timing.

Part of it is the physical pain, but it’s the mental/emotional pain that takes far longer to work through and heal.❤️‍🩹

Thankfully I had a wonderful older man as my front store manager and he was very protective of all of us younger female employees (I was around 18) and he noticed something was wrong because I just stood there unable to move. He took me away from my line into the small room where we counted our tills and asked me what was wrong and I told him the truth and he, someone who NEVER ran registers, left me there while he went out and checked his stuff out, only coming to get me when my former step dad was gone. I have had many moments of being around horrible people who abused me throughout my childhood, teen years, and even one very abusive relationship as an adult but nothing ever quite like that. So, while I genuinely hope you are NEVER in that situation, I certainly don't think you would be all but begging him to acknowledge you the way Amber is with Johnny.
