I didn’t realize that they made wheels with a gear stick and clutch pedal. My only experience of a wheel was a much cheaper one that didn’t include these. I like the idea, but can imagine that getting the stick to work in a realistic manner was quite a challenge for Logitech.

For the price, amazing product! I bought mine second hand in 2011 iirc for something like 200 €, played F1 2021 yesterday and it works like a charm. Gear stick too, just awesome.

G25 is a solid wheel. I remember many years ago i bought it used and did over 50000km in LFS just drifting alone. The only problem for this wheel was internal plastic casing that holds main gear and motors cracking, that was the failure point of mine. If i knew it was cracked when i got it, i would of been able to fix it and it would of lasted even more. In total it did around 100000km in sim games like LFS (Live for Speed) over period of around 10 years. It was abused a lot and still manage to keep it together until it finally gave up (cause it was already damaged when i bought it used and i had no idea). New stuff Logitech makes are just basically G27 with buttons crammed all over the wheel, some marketing BS and high price (tho i saw G920's for around 250EU new in stores, so that's a good price, plus about 60-50EU for the shifter that for some reason is sold separately now(cash grab for Logitech and all that crap to be honest, that's all it is)). If you still have a G27 or G25 and it works great, keep using it until it dies basically(unless you want to upgrade, then look at something like T300 GTE (T300 and T3PA GT pedals version) or higher end from Thrustmaster or other brands like Fanatec or others, depends how much you can spend). New G line wheels Logitech offers are not worth upgrading if you already have G27 for example. PS. if you are looking at used wheels and have an option to choose from G25 or G27, get the G27 cause it has helical gears and G25 has straight greats (motor to wheel). Helical gears in G27 are more quieter than straight gears in G25 and you should get better FFB feel with helical hears in G27.
I have it, although i haven't brought it out for a few years now, i love using it when it's out but kind of awkward to setup. I've thought about parts breaking, but I'd have thought i can just 3D print stuff if anything breaks? I really need to bring it out soon and see if it works with windows 11

@@kermmusic9208 Oh boy... "painting the devil on the wall".... My reverse gear just broke last week, I managed to fix it, I took apart the shifter and i saw that the yellow cable at the bottom PCB snapped so I just plugged it in agan. Its working like brand new! :D
Not that bulletproof. On my g25 the upper part of the wheel broke apart. Like, I don’t know what’s keeping the upper and lower half on it together but it broke on mine. After a while of searching I got lucky, found a guy selling the wheel and nothing else for 30€. Besides that, one of the paddles doesn’t work anymore and the reverse gear broke years ago and is identical to the 6th gear for my pc. Doesn’t bother me too much, just means that all of my cars have a 5 speed manual and 6th is reverse. And just yesterday I had to cut out and repair a broken section of the cable to the pedals because they stopped working too. I still love this thing to bits, got it for Christmas many years back and wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Bro, you can buy a set up for £1,000,000 plus. A UA-camr I watch, has a wheel base, that’s just the part that connects to the wheel and it cost £3000. You can even buy a Lamborghini real car, spend £20,000 on sim equipment, swap the wheel, pedals, etc,. There are some good 1’s on UA-cam. Loads of amazing sim racing rigs, in general, on UA-cam
Buying this for $25 local just for the shifter and medals. It looks like it's in rough shape but that just gives me something to work on. If the wheel works better then a t150 then I will be happy.
I've been using a G25 for a few years now. I bought mine used off a friend of mine. I first used it on my PS3 to play Dirt 3 and Gran Turismo 5. Nowadays I use it more often on my PC to play Dirt 2.0 and even some simulators like Truck Simulator or Bus simulator. A few days ago I had the idea of trying the G25 with Colin Mcrae Rally 2.0 wich is a 22 year old game and the G25 worked great! There were some issues with the shifter and the shift pads on the wheel but I do believe it's a driver issue or just the game being that old and I'm using Windows 10. Still the driving felt good. It's still an amazing steering wheel and I hope mine last for a very long time. I will be doing some maintenence soon because the potentiometer on the brake pedal needs cleaning.
As someone who’s still running a G25, and as much as I love them and they’ve been a reliable workhorse for me, I think it’s time to retire these things permanently. I’ll sometimes pick up spare wheels for parts and it’s becoming harder and harder to find decent examples. Almost all of them at this point have broken internal casings (though they can *usually* run in that condition), and broken encoder wheels are also very common. There are fixes and workarounds for these issues but I think we’re coming to a point where it’s really not worth it any more. Also they just don’t have the features required if you’re simming modern race cars. Two simple buttons on the wheel just doesn’t cut it with modern F1 or GT cars. It really was a great wheel and I’ve been running mine for almost 15 years (though it’s a bit of a “ship of Theseus” at this point), but it really is time to put these wheels out to pasture.
I have all the old wheels like Logitech Driving Force GT and G25 and G27. I don't use them for modern gaming as to not destroy them. I only use them with old systems and old racing games that you can only use old wheels like that to play with. For other things i use the modern wheels.

I found mine somewhere, but when I tested it, it didn't work, all the buttons works but not the wheel, I thought that it's broken and I searched on youtube how to fix it, I found out that the problem was with the encoder disk or something, I didn't check because I saw that it has another port for power supply, I didn't even know that it requires a power supply. Now I'm waiting for it to arrive 🙂. If this will still not work, I'll check the encoder disk Thanks

Hahaha same here I had many games that where fun I needed to own Horizon 4 on PC :D This steering wheel was 150 euro boxed. Cheaper without box only be careful because they are old and getting one works perfectly can be a risk.
Id be wary with forza horizon 4, I have this wheel and the updated version running through a reasnow converter on xbox/pc. No matter how you tune the settings it never seems quite right when you drive using it. Ive read that forza horizon 4 is built with a controller in mind as its main control method. Previous versions of forza work a treat with it. And the wheel is great for other driving games though. However as its aged it has started to slip a little, if you are turning and fighting the force feedback sometimes the wheel wont return to centre.

I just got this unit was a really good price but here’s my issue I’m having a hard time finding downloadable drivers to use this unit I am working with a Mac CP however I went to the logistical website for the drivers and the website said there are no more drivers for this particular model but I’m seeing everybody online using theirs they have recently purchased them secondhand where can I go to find the downloadable drives so that I can use this unit and particularly something compatible with Mac if that’s possible thank you
Be careful with these used because I already noticed with the G25 there are some age problem that can happen like flippers don't work well or motors are not working well. Or you ask the seller to make 100% sure wheel is in mint condition with or without the box.
I think not or there is a company who makes hardware for this to convert and make it work otherwise ... so far I know it's always problem with these racing wheels.

mine was working, as i had just decided to test it and yes this was in windows 10, and by working i mean it self calibrated upon connection, the issue with the drivers i know i resolved.. but had some update pending and then believe it or not an update for nvideia drivers stopped it from working.......that mobo believe it not blew up because i tried to use the PCI Lock function inside msconfig boot/advanced please don't try it because i'm not kidding, i was following some suggestion on a forum which apparently got someones g25/27 working on windows 10, because often it stops working after a ms update, anyway upon rebooting the system complete locked and i was forced to reset/shutdown manually ...and that blew the psu, the cpu and the mobo.....so now i have an all usb3 mobo and again it's not working.....i hear disabling some i/o feature in the bios will convert my usb's to version 2, and the wheel should then work?.......i know there is nothing wrong with my hardware so this has all been hugely frustrating i'm actually vexxed with ms, because there should be warnings on clearly unstable functions...i have a quick question related to my experience, can anyone verify that the g25/27 works with usb 3?, or am i right in believeing that's the problem?, thx

Be careful with these used because I already noticed with the G25 there are some age problem that can happen like flippers don't work well or motors are not working well.
Or you ask the seller to make 100% sure wheel is in mint condition with or without the box.

Is this compatible with ps5? Since the ps5 controller works on ps3 when plugged in. I know for PS4 you need an adapter
I think not or there is a company who makes hardware for this to convert and make it work otherwise ... so far I know it's always problem with these racing wheels.

mine was working, as i had just decided to test it and yes this was in windows 10, and by working i mean it self calibrated upon connection, the issue with the drivers i know i resolved.. but had some update pending and then believe it or not an update for nvideia drivers stopped it from working.......that mobo believe it not blew up because i tried to use the PCI Lock function inside msconfig boot/advanced please don't try it because i'm not kidding, i was following some suggestion on a forum which apparently got someones g25/27 working on windows 10, because often it stops working after a ms update, anyway upon rebooting the system complete locked and i was forced to reset/shutdown manually ...and that blew the psu, the cpu and the mobo.....so now i have an all usb3 mobo and again it's not working.....i hear disabling some i/o feature in the bios will convert my usb's to version 2, and the wheel should then work?.......i know there is nothing wrong with my hardware so this has all been hugely frustrating i'm actually vexxed with ms, because there should be warnings on clearly unstable functions...i have a quick question related to my experience, can anyone verify that the g25/27 works with usb 3?, or am i right in believeing that's the problem?, thx

Do they still have drivers for this wheel I’m thinking about picking it up used good condition upgraded pedal springs for $150 all the g27 I see used in good condos toon they want 250 plus and they newer ones are 300 plus easily second hand good condition.
