- This week we install a wolfbox g900 Digital rear view mirror, dash cam combination into our 2003 Jeep wrangler TJ. We Will never drive a jeep without one of these ever again. We chose the g900 model because despite the low price tag, it records in 4k. We were both very shocked by the crazy high quality display.

After a year, how's it holding up?
Thanks for video and great instructions! Do you think that rear camera can be instead installed in the front bumper and used as front cam when wheeling? I already have back up cam on my Wrangler and have been looking for a good front cam to get a view of the ground when going up hills and obstacles

@@Garagecouple I measured out 12” and it hit both of my visors. Could you explain how it works with the visors? I’m not seeing it.
Is there an option to remove the date and time when it's in rear camera mode?
So it does have a regular mirror mode? How is the quality of that mode? Thanks!
try putting a little rain-x or wax on the rear camera lense, that should prevent the rain drops from accumulating on the lense.
That's a GREAT idea!
I've seen people complain it hinders the sunvisor position. 12" is 2" more than what's available there, does that create an issue?
Time to clean and restore the rear plastic trim on the White Jeep! Some Stoners trim ceramic should do the trick!
Actually, got one better. Next week you'll see us replace the fender with a matching tube fender!

Definitely adding this to my Jeep TJ, Saturn SKY and my C7 grand sports. They all got poor rear view visibility

Was the trigger wire included in the package?
Yes it was, came attached to the rear view camera wire
Going to get this for my 04 TJ. Do I need to get additional wiring or does it come with everything included
It comes with everything! We got the fuse taps but didn't need them

@Garagecouple wanted to give it a few days before I replied. I love it, the resolution and clarity are amazing. Wish I could figure out how to stop it from auto record every time I plug it in though. I thought it came with the hard wiring but it didn't. Which of the 2 hard wiring options do I get?

This is a great product - but doesn't work at all when the top is off - I can't see the camera view - only the mirror reflection - I have to return mine as I have the roof off 90% of the summer and that's when I needed it most. Keep up the good work on your channel.
I see. We haven't tried it with the top off yet but can see how that would happen. I don't think any screen in that position would be visible in the bright sun. Not even our phones. Anyway, thanks for the kind words and support@
I put the same screen in both our JKURs and in our Corvette. Any vehicle with crappy vision out the rear should have them.

My jeep is a1997 Soft Top with no trim on the windshield frame. Where can I hide wires?
Just have to neatly run them across the frame and attach them using some type of adhesive like glue gun
Does the sun visor hit the mirror when you put it down? This unit is the 12” version and my TJ’s sun visor seems it just clears the stock rearview mirror. Thanks! And great video! You guys are always entertaining! Keep up the great content 😊

I was interested since it's been 2 months with the Wolfbox camera, you still have a favorable opinion, how is the mirror (not digital camera)?
A few years ago (5) I had a “different brand” earlier generation camera/mirror and the traditional mirror was wavy and not great.

The traditional mirror part is pretty decent. Not like a factory mirror but works if you decide to not use the digital feature

Do a followup during the hot summer days & maybe after a year of it being on your rearview mirror. Let us know if the heat affects the cameras & also if when it's hot does the mirror stay put? Two things I found to be the downfall with this type of camera.
It's been about 85 here since the install and it's been solid
Everything works great but you can't see the camera view - mirror takes over unless the roof is on. Too much light and the screen can't fight with brightness. Works great with roof on.

i have the Sylvania and at almost 200 bucks its def not worth it. mine has failed many times, does not stay on like its spose to. they say there's a firmware to update it yet the firmware is courrpt. i had mine hardwired with there 50 dollar chord and in 3 months the usb end has a bad connection and has caused the battery thats in it to do some wierd stuff. it overheats and shuts down and wont come back on till its cold again. all in all i pos camera and im waiting to see how yalls long term is on this one
