Thanks for the shout out boys, always happy to help JMR. Because of you I now consider myself a rebuilder which is both a blessing and a curse as you know. Royote is shaping up nice, love the remote start. Great vid !!!
Thank you so much for being one of the original subs also for contributing monthly and for all the freaking awesome tools you send our way brother. Glad we are able to help for sure and sorry at the same time. Keep getting after it brother.
@@JMRRebuilderswill this work on xj 98?
@@nathanmccumber8965 yes it should work
Thank god I found this video. Got a 1995 taurus I’m gonna do this to, and these old fords are all pretty close in electronics. Definitely gonna buy it soon
Heck yeah brother good luck to you. Please consider subscribing. We would really appreciate the support.
Only advice I would give is to replace all those wire nuts with soldering connections. More reliable and it makes wire tucking much easier. Great progress, guys!
I'm right with you. We usually use wire nuts to test our connections before doing permanent ones. Thanks for watching!!
@@JMRRebuildersif my xj already have remote start will this work I want push start because I gotta Jerry rig ignition switch to start it.
I am not sure would have to do some more search. It would have to work in connection to the existing system or you would have to completely remove the system.
Glad you like it. I love it, especially on these cold mornings when I get into a warm truck!
Heck yeah brother. Thanks for the help and thanks for the support. KEEP GETTING AFTER IT
That is really a cool device for the money! You guys make it look easy to install too!!
Thanks brother we appreciate the support. It is a pretty sweet ayatem for sure.

Heck yeah brother we think it's pretty sweet. Thanks for the support brother
I have this Kit because a friends gifted it to me due to getting another one and I opened the box and saw all the wiring and it’s been months since then😂 I think I may attempt this soon
Let's go. It really isn't that bad if you have some mechanical know how and wiring experience. Good luck
Imma have to buy a lot of things to break when I decide to do this and the one gauge lol

@@JMRRebuildersI got 98 Cherokee u got any video on a/c I got recharge no leaks. Blowing hot air from vents
Got it hooked up! Start button works however it doesn’t turn on my accessories like radio and allow me to put it in gear unless I turn the key forward? How did you pull out the key cylinder without keeping the accs on? I couldn’t get the remote to start it either?
OK so this is a big harder to explain via text. The look cylinder actuates a lever inside column. That lever disengages the steering lock and turns on acc. You need to remove it and the cylinder leaving the truck column in the on postion. Also you need to wire acc to the alarm system. Hope this helps. Good luck.
Thanks for video. How does the system know how long to crank the engine for? What happens if the truck doesn't start after the first few seconds of cranking.
Thanks
Cranking is based on the factory vehicle and it relieving the start signal from device. It works flawlessly. If the truck doesn't start after the signal sent nothing happens.
Ohh, and it looks like you are using the OneGauge. This is an awesome project. I'm doing a 12 valve Cummins swap into an 29', 80s Class A RV and I am planning on using the OneGauge and keyless. Why? The real question is, WHY NOT!?
Heck yeah brother love it. We love one gauge great company and product. The push button is a bit harder but worth it good luck brother.
thanks for the awesome clip, but this system doesnt have wire for hazards lights why or how can i light my lights
Hey brother thanks for the comment and support. On the main harness there is a wire that feeds the flashers at the moment I can't remember the color. It should be in the big image diagram. Good luck.
hi @@JMRRebuilders can i please send you email with a picture so you can show me please
Loved the instruction part 😂🤣😂🤣😂
Yeah some may get triggered by it. Thanks for the comment and support.
Would this system work on a 1996 f350 7.3? It would need the delay for the glow plugs? Any chance u guys near NYC I’d rather pay you to install. Ain’t gonna lie I’m scared to cut wires in my truck lol… great video thanks guys
Hey brother thanks for the comment and the support. Unfortunately we aren't anywhere near new york. It should work for a diesel as you mentioned would Def need the delay for glow plugs. It is doable for sure just takes time and patience. Good luck brother.
"Slicker than snot on a doorknob" yea that part 😂🤣💯💨
Heck yeah brother thanks you.

@@JMRRebuilders Awesome!! I will do that 🤙
Loved it. Is that your jmroyte kanban on the whiteboard in the background?
Lol. I have my kanban on Trello and that one is for Ryan, and he calls me old!!!???
Did this f150 already have the factory remote entry module or not? I'm wanting this setup on a 96 f350 power stroke that does not have OEM keyless entry...
We did not have power locks or windows, so we purchased another truck for those parts. The. The system connects with the trucks interface
What did you use for the "oil feed sense" wire that shows the fuel pump motor? I was just going to put 12v constant to it.
Well we have an after market motor so we taped into the oil pressure sensor to get our signal. Thanks for the comment and support. Greatly appreciated.
How’s it going guys I have a question if you don’t have remote locks nor trunk lock would you just void hooking the wires up to anything?
Yeah I'm sure that is fine. We didn't hook up our trunk wire so should be just fine. Good luck to you.
Would you be able to get provide a wiring diagram? Or where can I find a wiring diagram to the ignition switch
Hey thanks for the comment. We used all data diy to get the wire diagrams. Good luck.
How did you guys figure out finding the right wires on the fuse box?
Looked up a wiring diagram. The haynes manual has a good one. Thanks for the comment !!
how reliable has this been now that a year has passed? my actuator rod broke on my 95 so I'm thinking this would be a good solution
thanks!
It has been great has a lot of kinks to work out and been some what frustrating. But once it is dialed in its a great system and the benefits ate great.
I wonder if there is an el cheapo version for manual trans???
Not sure there is a much cheaper than 50 bucks. The same system can work on a manual. The only issue would be you could never leave it in gear. Good luck.
This is so cool 🤘

Hey brother I am not sure this will slove your problem. Sorry. Good luck
these kits are universal, there are fobs that match
most car manufacturers.

Yes they are universal. Glad to hear you have sorted it out on your end. Thanks for the comment and support
How u turn it off Cz that a lil annoying
I believe it turn ignition on to run ,not started, then hold down lock button on remote. Horn will honk I believe 3 times. It's been years since I did it
@@mikeswigart9521 ok thx
Does the truck have to have a factory security system to make this system work? I know on some of the aftermarket systems If you don't already have the factory set up, it won't work.
No this system works independently of the factory system. Good luck. Thanks for comment and support
Something I like from my old 350 is that I can start it and wit out stepping on the break.. can I have that wi this ? or is not POSSIBLE ?
Well you can remote start it with remote. To start it inside have to press the brake since it has a brake sensor switch. Thanks for comment and support
Loved your video! What is the max distance that you can remote start the truck?
Great question we never tried that. Thanks for comment and support
Convenient for sure!
Yes it is we think if ya gonna drive old school might as well have some convenience. Thank you for the support
If we wanted to install this on a diesel, how would you recommend to incorporate a delay for the warmer for the plugs (6.0L Ex)? Just looking for thoughts and recommendations.
I'm not sure on that one. I know a couple guys mentioned doing it on one of the Facebook groups. I know it is doable but uncertain on how. Good luck brother
From the instructions I’ve read you can turn on the ACC functions by pushing the button once without applying the brake pedal as the button will not start the vehicle without the brakes engaged.
Yes that is correct. I believe he is asking ore for the remote start option as well. But that is definitely helpful. Thanks
My push button stopped working all the sudden, Bought a new one and installed it but that wasn’t the issue. Any help??
Well it has to have oil sensor wire to start and the brake wire sensor. I would try those and see.
So this should work with a 79 model. It is actually a CLT 9000 cab over Ford semi, but I want to put it on. Do you have any advice or recommendations?
Just gotta know a little bout electrics to figure it out and how your door locks actually. But it can be installed in just about anything. Good luck
How’s this system hold up I’m thinking of installing in my truck
It's OK gotta keep spare batteries on hand for when the fob dies but other than that it's great. Thanks for the comment and support
Me I cut or uncover 6 wires under the dash board and 2 in the steering wheel panel looking for door lock unlock but the were basically inside door panel itself, you need to remove door cover and hook them to door negative wire, and also I was looking to connect the flasher wire to the the turn signal wire in the car but they were just behind the emergency signal button panel. Sometimes the engine diagram is not perfect. Even I had to test wich ignition wir is acc and wich is starter and wich is ignition 1 and ignition two. It crazy, the hardest part is not the keyless system wiring but finding the right wires in your car.
That's some great feedback. Love it.
What if your vehicle has a factory alarm. Most aftermarket remote starts/alarms have a 'factory disarm/rearm wire but this unit doesnt.
Yeah no clue on that one. If that's the case then would look for a version that fits your install. Good luck
Hi there, do you think it will work on a mid 90s gm truck
Hey brother thanks for the comment and support. It absolutely will. You will need to sort our wiring and such but yes it will. Good luck
The question I have is will this work on an original 95 F150, and what do you do about the old key start
Yes it absolutely can work on the obs truck. The original key goes away and the push button goes in its spot. Let us know if younneed any other help
@@JMRRebuilders Cool, I'm a have to do that
@@JMRRebuilders how hard would this b to install my truck don’t have power locks or any of the goods plus it’s got the 300/6 with a 4 speed manual and it’s a 95 reason
It obviously won't work on door locks however it wouldn't be that hard. You would get the remote start feature and push button capabilities. Good luck
@@JMRRebuilders so ordered one from easygaurd my question do I connect all the acc wires to the one that the kit says is acc
Can you still lock the doors manually while the fob is in the vehicle and the vehicle is running?
Yes you can for sure. Let us know if you need anything else and good luck.

Thanks for the quick reply. Looking to do this to my ‘14 F150 and now just trying to figure what I need to do to bypass the signal from the original keys chip and what to do to the original opening for the ignition cylinder.

I was thinking about installing this but I was wondering if it’s required to install the push to start button, I just want the keyless entry and remote start. Thanks!
I believe you can do it without the button. Good luck we appreciate the support
I want to buy this. I have a GHOST JDI PUSH TO START CONVERSION KIT on my 2012 Honda Accord. I just want to use the Wireless Key Remotes to work with my JDI system. Is that possible?
Got this and it nice but kinda sucks one time it wouldn’t turn off and just kept trynna start it while it was on so I just reversed and parked again and I was able to turn off after a min or two almost messed up my starter and the remote start doesn’t work it does that unsuccessful start that’s described in the manual
Thats rough for sure. Thanks for the support and comment.
I have a 1995 7.3 powerstroke I can’t find any wiring diagram to hook this thing up any way y’all could help me
Hey brother we don't know all that much about the 7.3. However there is a way for you to get full wire diagrams. Go to www.alldata.com/diy-us/en/find-vehicle
Put your year make model and they should have what ya need. Good luck
What would you rate the difficulty of the wiring? I want to install this on my 94, but I really couldn’t be bothered messing with wires that are super difficult to install.
Well, it isn't at all intuitive. So if you're not unto it, it may be frustrating. Good luck. Thanks for the comment and support
@@JMRRebuilders Thanks, I’ll see what I’m working with when I get the kit. I might have to pay for someone to install it if it’s too complicated for me😂😂
Let's go.
Ryan, couple of questions. Did you have to bypass the key? How did all that work? Also, do you work for Duke Energy?
Hey brother gotta say your the first to ask a question directly to one of us by name. Really neat. Yes in our case since our key unlocks steering column you have to by pass the mechanism.
We simply found the piece that is engaged by the key clyinder and disabled the mechanism.
I do not work at Duke. Would love to know why you ask that though.
Thank you for comment and support.
Any long-term comment on how it's holding up?
So far so good. We are happy with it for the price. I think there could we a better sensor for vicinity and motion but it's great for the price. Thanks for comment and support
Hi can this be installed in a manual transmission car
Yes it sure can just make sure you don't leave it in gear. Good luck
Does the a/c turn on when you remote start?
Yes you can set it up so that it does. Thanks for comment and support.
What type of car's can you install the alarm
It can go on just about anything. It's up to your ability to make it work.
Can you tell me what wires I’m tying into on these trucks ? I bought the same system basically but all i need is the ignition. Everything else is manual. Any tips I would appreciate. It’s confusing!
Hey brother I am not sure which wire to use. We did a coyote swap so we just hooked it up to the start wire on the coyote. There is a large red and green wire behind the dash cluster that maybe the one you need but not sure. Good luck
Thank you for the reply. I ended up figuring out how to wire it in and bypassed the break to the accessory two wire so it starts after the initial press and if it doesn’t, you can hold the button on the second as long as you need. For $25 I am impressed and it even came with an antitheft feature with little tags that you have to scan. Your video was still a good watch. Thanks for the content.
@@JMRRebuilders this truck has also not ran in 19 years and I finally got to hear it run yesterday

I believe it was the low oil switch or brake switch we had to bypass. Good luck and thanks for comment and support
Would a person need keyless entry to use this?
This system comes with Keyless entry as well. Thanks for the support and comment
How you guys liking the system thinking about getting this on my 91 f150
It really isn't a bad system could use some minor adjustments and takes a lot to figure it out since none of it is clear on installation. That being said for the price and capability you can't beat it. Good luck.
JMR you say it needs minor adjustments but you don't say what those may be. In the video it seemed to not work initially. Or " bind up ". Especially when standing near the car for an extended period. I have one just have yet to install. No professional wants to do it. There's no us customer service or dealers. Also the professional installers say after time they simply stop working or pke malfunctions. Please give us a followup video or Information on the product please.
I have had one in my car for 6 years with no problems. And I have also installed 5 others
For family and friends and they have been all
Different cars. No issues from any of them
So far. It’s been at least 2 years. I have
Only installed the easy guard ecoo2
How did you install button in the ignition port?
Hey thanks for watching and commenting. We took the factor key clyinder out and locked it in place then put the push button in its location.
When you did that you had to have it in the ACC/ON position correct? If so how do you keep it from draining the battery while off if you understand?
do these kits work on cars that had chipped keys?
The key would still have to be near the column to somehow work I would assume. But I really don't know

This is kinda driving me nuts 🤣
@Wolf Lord yeah they can be fickle. I'm sure it is something simply like you just sorted. Good luck to ya brother.
@@JMRRebuilders you're absolutely right. I'm wondering, did you wire up the E brake? My kit came with a 7 pin harness and it shows the 2 brown wires are to be used for either the park lights or one wire to the trunk release and the other to the E brake.
@@JMRRebuilders I'm sorry to keep bothering you. Disregard my last comment. My remote start finally works now. So with this kit, there's a 7 pin out harness. The main two wires that troubled me were the brown with white stripe and brown with black stripe. The options were use the two wires on a positive output for the lights to flash or use brown with black stripe for trunk release and brown with white stripe for hand brake check on negative output. Since I installed the kit on my 02 f150, I went with the logical choice of using the brown wires for the flashers. Anyhoo, thanks for the video and advice, you've been more than helpful. Hope all's well 👍

Yes it is and can be installed on any vehicle. Thanks for the comment and support.

Yall should of used a toner. Would of helped a lot.
What do you mean about a toner? Thanks for the comment and support.
badass
Its pretty cool! Thanks for watching!
CAN THE CAR BE STARTED WITHOUT THE KEY NEAR THE CAR ????? IM SCARED OF MY CAR GETTING STOLEN.
It is a proximity sensor system meaning the systems brain cannot activate without the key fob being near by. So no it can't
@@JMRRebuilders nice thanks! i dont want someone to get into my door somehow and jusst be able to push the button and drive away if im not near the car
Niceeeee
Thanks brother.
I had one of these fail and the car wouldn’t turn off
Yeah that would suck for sure. What did you end up doing?
No key at all!? So someone can just hop in an take off? Lol
Edit: ok you do have to have the fob still good stuff
Well that wouldn't be good. There's a key fob. Gotta have that. Thanks for the comment
How flexible is the proximity lock system? Unlock is awesome but I think I’d rather have manual control over locking. If you’re getting in/out a bunch, the locking might get annoying.
Push button start and the proximity locks are something I thought was dumb until we bought my wife’s Edge. I also thought remote start was dumb until I had it 🤦🏻♂️
Great work as usual guys, how much more do you have until it’s “done”? Are you doing paint, vinyl wrap or leaving as-is?
Hey brother thanks for the support. The proximity sensor aren't adjustable at all. Best if working on it to leave key in cab.
Yeah that remote start auto unlock and push button really make it nice and convenient.
We are hoping to start body work soon then and complete paint. We do have the ac to finish next video. Then once paints done a couple more upgrades and she's done.
@@JMRRebuilders also cool the fobs look like they kind of resemble a Ford factory fob. Looking forward to the next one!
That's cool and all but you did not show us what you learned on HOW TO INSTALL the damn thing... which wires go where. What was the point of this video without the info?
Entertainment bud.

Thanks for the comment. Not sure what your referencing.
this wasn’t even helpful. no color schematics or in detail install, just laughing
The point of the video. Isn't a how to install. Especially considering it is in a coyote swapped 95 f150. Either way thanks for comment and support
@@JMRRebuildersi get that it’s swapped. but you still reused the factory harness for the push start from what it looks like. Just wanted some insight on how to install a push to start on my truck. Thanks for the Reply.
At the very end... was it the truck that was starting up via the remote?
Ya buddy. Pretty slick. Thanks for the comment Ron
