Thank you so much, i recently got a 2000 taurus (without KLE) handme down, nothing wrong with it besides being rekeyed (when it was stolen while unattended and i see hiring a locksmith to be way expensive for a boring normal key) got the one with the trunk opening option, looked up the diagrams on shopkey and confirmed before cutting, got it all nice and soldered up and I'm enjoying it. Wow! How the he!! have I never seen those “Positabs” before? I have been working on auto electronics and every electrical device since I was a lil turd taking my new Christmas toys apart to make “Robots” lol! I thought I had seen them all. Thank you sir. Oh when I was a teen (many many years ago) I made my own keyless. We had no Amazon thus no cheap kits but we had a local big box auto parts store and they sold a remote turn on light kit with a key fob and all and with 2 buttons for multiple lights. I had an old 73 Datsun with no preinstalled solenoid so had to go to the “U-pull it” $10 later I had me a stack of different solenoids so The kit even came with double double throw worked better than any new car kits. I even got sneaky and use the second button to pop my hood, then some time later installed a bed cover I added the keyless to. Fun fun days sorry I’m going on and on thanks for showing me some new tools, sharing the video and the trip down memory lane.
It would be the same way as connecting it to the starter. You cut a powered wire going to the pump and put the relay in between. I personally wouldn’t wire it to the pump because I wouldn’t want to accidentally engage it while the car is driving and I wouldn’t want the guest to burn out the starter if they keep trying to turn on the car with no fuel.

@@CarSharingJho thanks for the reply. Already had the dodge wiring chart. Looking for confirmation on what the correct keyless entry wiring diagram would be the correct one for a 02 Dodge Durango. There were 6 on versions that came with the unit. Not sure which one applies to the vehicle.
Are the brown and blue wires with the posi-taps part of the remote installation to? I hooked mine up the way you did in my 2009 ford e350 but it doesn’t work. The box clicks but that’s it. I was wondering if I’m missing something
Have the same unit in my car. But the passenger front door stopped working. No sounds there when I trigger the remote. Connections in the pillar are ok. What can it be?
My car is i20 2011 which came with pre-installed central locking system. I recently upgraded to a remote central locking system i.e. key fob system. My car has a single common wire lock/unlock wire rather than 2 wire of lock and unlock wire separately. So i need cut the signal wire and wired it across the 2 output relays. After that, i converted the physical key to flip remote key. This is how i convert my base model car to top variant car.😊
@@h0udinl bro, i converted the normal keys to flip keys. There are designated stores which deals in key conversation. I did mine in Delhi without transponder chip for 3500 INR for 2 remote flip keys.
@@h0udinl i purchased very basic remote central locking unit for about Rs 750 before Covid. I have been using for about 5 years now. No issues till today.
So I hooked it up the same as you on a 2006 Corolla it works great at first then overnight the next day it will not work till I cycle the ignition what do you think the problem is
Quick question I been wanting to do this to my 99 honda Accord. The key fob is f**ked, anyways when you click unlock 1x does it automatically unlock all 4 doors? Or will it just unlock the front 2 or just the driver side ? I know most nowadays u have to double-click to unlock all of them ?
My car has a positive locking system. I wired the 2 yellow wires to a constant positive and the white lock and unlock to wires to the opening and closing wires on my door lock switch but I keep getting a short when unlocking.
@@CarSharingJho its a semi truck. 2014 mack pinnacle. I tapped into the driver side door lock switch. When lock or unlock is pressed i get a 12v reading. I got the keyless entry to work by wiring the yellow and yellow and black to a 12v positive. The white and white and black are tapped into the wires that show 12v when lock or unlock is pressed coming from the switch. I had to unplug the switch for it to work tho. If I plug it back in and try to use the keyless entry it shorts.
Hi, I installed the aftermarket keyless entry system for my 2016 Toyota Corolla but I think it’s killing my battery. Is there an easy way to take it out?
Hi, it shouldn't drain any power if wired properly. Are you sure that's the root cause of the issue? Disconnecting the wire plug from the module will be sufficient to test that theory.
Will this work on a Mazda 3 with out a central locking button. The car locks all doors when turning the key on and unlocks when turning off but has no lock unlock button anywhere
Yes this will work. Also, the Mazda3 should have a locking button in the center where the handbrake is. Not sure if it was an option, but that's where ours has it.
I have a 2023 kia río and I was wondering after I add the aftermarket module system in the car can I get a keyfob, keyblade, flip key that has the Kia logo on it re-programmed to my Kia Rio car ?
@@CarSharingJho another thing do will the doors lock automatically once you pull off the driveway you see on how these new modern cars they have this sensor where the doors lock automatically once you start driving or left your vehicle/car cool thanks
@@CarSharingJhoi just installed mine and unlocked button (white) works but when (white with black) locked gets heated so only unlocked button works on my end. How this possible? Or is there anything i can do? Car is rvr 1998
Hey installed it just like you did, I am having this issue where the unlock gets disabled in the car after the car sits. How do I disable this anti theft feature?
I have an odd question for you, but does the lock work (even though it’s already locked) after the car sits for a while? It could be that your 12v constant is the one not holding power. What make and model car is it? I know this is an issue with BMW.
@@CarSharingJho I have a 2008 carolla and no this is not the case, I tested by rolling down the window and locking it for a while and came back when I hit the unlock button you can hear the click from the relays in the box. I do believe I tapped into the wires for the buttons on the door and not the key lock on the outside of the car because when I went to hit the lock button by reaching through the window it also did not work. Do you think it would be possible to find the wire for key unlock instead of the door button and use that? Dose that system work the same?
@@CarSharingJho but yes the lock works it is only after it sits where the unlock becomes disabled inside the car. Other than that if I get out of the car after running close the door and lock it. The unlock works for a while after but then gets disabled.
Find the wires that go to the door lock actuator. There should be two, 1. lock 2. unlock. The white with black is to lock and the solid white is to unlock.
I'm sorry, but you would have to find the manual/instruction booklet for your aftermarket actuators or to test the wires individually to find out what each wire does.
Have you tried another battery just in case? I have had instances where the new battery is bad/dead too. If that doesn't work, the system is so cheap that I would just buy another one and swap it out completely, without touching any of the wires.
I already check my door lock module underneath my dashboard The brown wire is working for unlock then the green wire is no function But if i press the down latch its working fine pull up latch all doors are smooth locking and unlocking but i already checked with my test light the green wire is giving me signal of light on test light what should i will do

@@CarSharingJho So basically I went out to buy a multimeter and found that on the (suspected) locking wire and the (suspected) Unlocking wire when I lock the vehicle and my black probe is grounded and my red probe is connected to the exposed Locking wire initially the multimeter shows a 0v read and after I lock the vehicle it shows about a spike on the voltage from 0v to 10/11/12V not exactly constant and when I unlock the vehicle it shows a reading of 0.5 to about 1v on the (Locking Wire) and basically the same for the unlocking wire as well so I used ChatGPT it told me that this is a postive trigger locking system as compared to negative trigger locking when the volt is a constant 12v drops to 0v or close to that is supposed to be a negative trigger locking system instead it's completely vice versa for me I'm just informing you this And I'd appreciate if you can confirm that my vehicle is a postive trigger locking system as I have given the complete diagnostic of what occured with me and unfortunately I am unable to find any website or even the link you have provided to help me confirm this issue

I need your help I have a 2006 Kia Sportage LX that has power locks etc. I do not have the factory key or a key fob i only have a copy of the key. I wanna know how would I know how to wire this keyless entry system that I’ve ordered? The location is where I find myself struggling.

The keyless entry system works and unlocks all doors just fine, even drivers door, all other buttons in the van also work for every door, only the drivers side button does not work (this is the one I tied into for keyless entry). Any ideas why this might be? If I take the lock/unlock wires from the keyless entry system off of my drivers door switch, the switch works again. Seems like something with the keyless entry module messing with the switch but I just don’t know why that would be. Figure A is the wiring diagram I had to use btw
hello, my unlock and lock does not work. I connected the white and white-black wires for the lock and unlock. the small module activates when I use the controller. but I don't have any 12 volts coming out of the white wire and the white-black of the module, do you have an idea?
You have to get 12v from somewhere else on the car, it wont come from the white or white/black wires. You can find 12v from cigarette lighter, radio, or straight from the battery.
Bro, you missed the following features. 1. The remote central locking should not work whenever any of the 5 doors is opened. In the present case, your car is still able to lock and unlock all doors when any door is opened. So this is the drawback feature. 2. You turn on the hazard lights and all 4 lights up. At the same time, you pressed the lock and unlock remote key, then BOOM the fuses will blown out. 3. Also, the remote system should be disabled whenever the physical key is inserted into the ignition switch.
1. Those cheap keyless entry modules don't have that feature. 2. It won't blow the fuse, they are wired parallel with the signal light, no chance of shorting. 3. Same as number 1
@@airsight2753 i did the wire to make sure that if any of 5 doors are opened or if the key is inserted, the remote lock module should be disabled. I did the installation myself in my i20 2011.

The brown and blue wires are part of a GPS tracker we had installed before so not part of this keyless system. Were you able to figure it out yet?
@@CarSharingJho yeah I was hooked in to the wrong wires.
Glad you got it figured out!
Hi mate, wiring for vauxhall combo or fiat doblo 2014 model 1
3cdti please. Thanks for great video saves £100
Sorry I don't have any wiring diagrams for those cars. But this should work on any car with power door locks.
Have the same unit in my car. But the passenger front door stopped working. No sounds there when I trigger the remote. Connections in the pillar are ok. What can it be?
Might be the door lock actuator itself.
Great video. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
What key did you use
@@h0udinl bro, i converted the normal keys to flip keys. There are designated stores which deals in key conversation. I did mine in Delhi without transponder chip for 3500 INR for 2 remote flip keys.
@@tnamen1307 so just a 433mhz key?
@@h0udinl yes exactly 433 Mhz.
@@h0udinl i purchased very basic remote central locking unit for about Rs 750 before Covid. I have been using for about 5 years now. No issues till today.
Great vid btw! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Glad you liked it!!
Hi google says the door unlock and lock are on the driver side panel are there also in the under dash fuse box
Yes it can be the same wire running to multiple places.
So I hooked it up the same as you on a 2006 Corolla it works great at first then overnight the next day it will not work till I cycle the ignition what do you think the problem is
Sounds like the car goes to “sleep”. Where did you connect the 12v constant to? -James
Very helpful, Thanks a lot
Is this safe to build in? And If someone else next to me has the same system would both car function on 1 remote? That could be a problem I think
Yeah that could be a downside of these cheap systems.
It unlocks all doors on 1 click.
Do you think this could be used on a 2016 Chevy Colorado?
Does it have power door locks?
My car has a positive locking system. I wired the 2 yellow wires to a constant positive and the white lock and unlock to wires to the opening and closing wires on my door lock switch but I keep getting a short when unlocking.
Are you sure it is positive locking? What year make and model?
@@CarSharingJho its a semi truck. 2014 mack pinnacle. I tapped into the driver side door lock switch. When lock or unlock is pressed i get a 12v reading. I got the keyless entry to work by wiring the yellow and yellow and black to a 12v positive. The white and white and black are tapped into the wires that show 12v when lock or unlock is pressed coming from the switch. I had to unplug the switch for it to work tho. If I plug it back in and try to use the keyless entry it shorts.
Helpful af👍👍
Hi,
I installed the aftermarket keyless entry system for my 2016 Toyota Corolla but I think it’s killing my battery.
I have a 2015 Yaris L and can't find wire information anywhere! Know anywhere to find this?

do these cheap ones have the automatic lock if u forget to lock it yourself after a certain time
They do not have that feature.

Just got the the kit same as yours,i have 2005 lancer how do i know if i need to use the same wires and type of c negative trigger ?
Sorry for the late response, were you able to figure this out? -James
@@CarSharingJho good day, I have the same question for a mazda 2 2010, thanks
I have a 2023 kia río and I was wondering after I add the aftermarket module system in the car can I get a keyfob, keyblade, flip key that has the Kia logo on it re-programmed to my Kia Rio car ?
Not exactly. It MIGHT be possible, but it would require some customization: transferring the remote chip to the Kia key fob.
@@CarSharingJho another thing do will the doors lock automatically once you pull off the driveway you see on how these new modern cars they have this sensor where the doors lock automatically once you start driving or left your vehicle/car cool thanks
@@liljimmysfoodfactorygemstr4096 Sorry, no, this system is very simple in design.
Can you set up an aftermarket key to work with an existing module
You probably can, but that is beyond the scope of what I know how to do.
Does it drain your battery? Some systems do
Have not noticed any draining.
So I have a 2007 Toyota corolla ce. I found my power door cables but i was only power the lock cable, not the unlock one. I'm not sure what to do.
You don’t see the unlock one? It should be a blue wire.
Are all the same wiring to connect if different car?
Every car will be different.
@@CarSharingJhoi just installed mine and unlocked button (white) works but when (white with black) locked gets heated so only unlocked button works on my end. How this possible? Or is there anything i can do? Car is rvr 1998
What does negative triggered lock system mean?😊😊
The wires have to be grounded
The wire for the key unlock is a physical wire (not electrical) so that wouldn't work.
Which wires did you connect it to: is it a blue wire and a blue/white wire?
Where to connect the white wires? Thanks
Find the wires that go to the door lock actuator. There should be two, 1. lock 2. unlock.
The white with black is to lock and the solid white is to unlock.

I have after market actuators installed on my 94 Toyota Tercel the wires are blue, black, green , brown and White wich wires fo i hook up to the module
I'm sorry, but you would have to find the manual/instruction booklet for your aftermarket actuators or to test the wires individually to find out what each wire does.
Hi i have installed th systsm almost 2 years but on controller now doesnot work ! I changed battery but same.. any idea how to programize that ?
Have you tried another battery just in case? I have had instances where the new battery is bad/dead too.
If that doesn't work, the system is so cheap that I would just buy another one and swap it out completely, without touching any of the wires.
I already check my door lock module underneath my dashboard
The brown wire is working for unlock then the green wire is no function
But if i press the down latch its working fine pull up latch all doors are smooth locking and unlocking but i already checked with my test light the green wire is giving me signal of light on test light what should i will do
Were you able to figure it out? What year make and model is it?
Can I just program the keys to the car
Hey I guess I am a little late to this but I am installing this exact Keyless entry system to my Daihatsu boon 2006 originally as per my research this can does come originally with Keyless entry but for some reason my car doesn't have it cause I don't have that key fob now unfortunately I misplaced or lost my Manual so I have no clue if it is Negative or positive Trigger system I request you to please help me out I have been searching online for a whole week I found an online manual but It gives no detail regarding this Also I am very new to all of this electrical things I have no background of this and it's my first time ever I am doing it cause it's my passion
Were you able to figure it out? Most vehicles are negative triggered.
@@CarSharingJho So basically I went out to buy a multimeter and found that on the (suspected) locking wire and the (suspected) Unlocking wire when I lock the vehicle and my black probe is grounded and my red probe is connected to the exposed Locking wire initially the multimeter shows a 0v read and after I lock the vehicle it shows about a spike on the voltage from 0v to 10/11/12V not exactly constant and when I unlock the vehicle it shows a reading of 0.5 to about 1v on the (Locking Wire) and basically the same for the unlocking wire as well so I used ChatGPT it told me that this is a postive trigger locking system as compared to negative trigger locking when the volt is a constant 12v drops to 0v or close to that is supposed to be a negative trigger locking system instead it's completely vice versa for me I'm just informing you this And I'd appreciate if you can confirm that my vehicle is a postive trigger locking system as I have given the complete diagnostic of what occured with me and unfortunately I am unable to find any website or even the link you have provided to help me confirm this issue

or does it have to be this specific fob

does this increase likelyhood of theft?
Someone would have to know what frequency your car is set to and that you even have an aftermarket system.
I just installed this on my chevy express van and for some reason now the button for my drivers door does not work at all.
Did you splice the wire or T-tap into it?
hi, do you know how to install the same for a lancer 04 ES? thank you

hello, my unlock and lock does not work.
At time 1.20, what's J2 PNEUMATIC LOCK? How does it function?
Pneumatic door locks are operated with air. Almost all vehicles use central locking system and not pneumatic.
Is it possible to install on car without having power door locks ??
This system only triggers the power door locks so it wouldn’t help on a car without power door locks.
Will this work for a 2020 SR tacoma?
Should work on any car with power door locks.
Are you speaking from knowledge or experience?
@@ayyubjackson He is taking the shit
