I was hyped for this!! Looks aaamazing!! Never flown a wing and now you've got me inspired to make one! Which wing that can be made out of foam board would you recommend to a begginer? [I have a 3D printer and know CAD, so if it requires 3D printing it's no problem for me :)]
I started out in wings with the FT Mini arrow, as my 3rd plane ever. Very nice and controllable. I would recommend that with a little 1806 (Power Pack A Spec) motor and a 5 inch race quad prop (4-5 inch pitch). It will be a nice cruiser but still will have decent speed and a nice sound to it :). That wing is so much fun and very durable as well, so no worries if you have a few mishaps while you are getting the hang of it. And no 3d printing or CAD is necessary for the arrow, just a simple firewall and power pod setup makes it easy. Thanks for watching!
This is just the regular old Adam’s Readi Board you get off the shelf at dollar tree, works like a charm. The maker foam should work well too, I would think. Thanks for watching!
This model isn’t covered in any way except some duct tape on the leading edge. In the past I’ve used packing tape to laminate my wings which works quite nicely. the removal of airfoil ridges was done by removing paper on one side of the foam on the inside top of the wing and bending it to create the airfoil curve if that makes sense.
Love it. Thanks for the shoutout both with printing and losing batteries lol
I gotchu dawg. Thanks for hitting me up with the firewall. Also did you ever find that pack?
So much quality and good content, i only can say that i miss some music during the aseembling, but so nice videos! greetings from spain!
Thanks, yeah good point, usually thats an afterthought but I will be sure to add some in the next time around. Thanks for watching!

Nice video Noah. Are you using maker foam from Flite Test? I’m just wondering if regular foam board will allow the leds to glow effectively.

@@CustomFPV Thanks. One more question. Do you use black duct tape or black packing tape for your trim scheme? Keep up the good work!
That’s black duct tape. Nice and strong on the leading edge. Thanks!

Thanks for the sub!
Hi what is the weight of you versa, also did you add any nose weight?
I did add some nose weight, and it was just lighter than on the FT site
Loved the video. What did you use to cover your plane? Looks really smooth. Also how did you remove flat spots in the upper wing surface? THX

Can i ask did you buy a speed built kit or just cut it in a 2 sheet of foam
Scratch built, simply cut out from foam.
@@CustomFPV nice so you just use the pdf files
Yep, tiled out. pretty basic, keeps cost down for sure
you forgot to show CG
Noted. Flitetest covers that in their build video if you still need it. Sorry!
