I got a different motor than the one in this video and it has an x mount but it doesn't attach to the same end as the one in the video. I'm brand new to this. I don't know what to do at all.
Great video...looking into adopting it! Should we ever consider using spacers behind the wood screws to angle the motor to compensate for its torque caused by P-factor?
Remember, the Power Pod is similar to a Cargo Load. Placement is IMPORTANT, and be sure that it is secure, or this is what will happen upon takeoff. ua-cam.com/video/lksDISvCmNI/v-deo.html This 747 crashed because the load shifted, or came loose, on takeoff.
@@lt.williamcrowecrowe2505 I have done that but haven’t had time to fly. Just playing around, I moved my battery way forward and there was no drop. Looking forward to some less windy days to try it out. What branch are/did you serve? I left the service as 1LT US Army at Ft. Lewis, WA in 1973. I was a PIO then.
I love this break down of each individual part, it could really encourage people to improvise their own aircraft design.

Thank you for the video, is the firewall designed to have a right thrust angle?
i just got my kit and am trying to build right now. not only did I get a wood firewall but there isnt even motor screws with mine
Yeah same
I never got screws either. Flite test sucks! Quality control is a joke
the way he smiles when saying "It can destroy your motor and ESC"
Whoa. This was a long time coming!
I have found that its a lot easier to install the motor to the firewall before it is glued to the power pod.
yeah, but that way you cant put the tape on the firewall and the tape is more important than the glue
I just love building plans even throw I’m not that good at flying yet

Ya boi, I used washers to adjust thrust angle
I striped 3 screws trying to do this any suggestions
Where do I get the size for the power pod?
Great job, thanks for sharing
Good lands
I want to be able to buy the radial design motor mounts that come with the mighty minis.i don't see spares for sale?????
What’s the material of the new firewall?
fiberglass I believe
Great TeeShirt
Is there a video that shows how to properly use the wood fire wall?? I bought a FT in February 2022 and got a wood fire wall. Kinda disappointing.
Hello! The installation of the wood firewall is the same as the plastic one.
Where is the template or pdf?
What are the dimensions?
Did you find out?
@@no_1one675 no
The wood screws are incredibly low quality

I built the power pod for my Old Foggy. When I apply power, it wants pull seriously down. Why?
Thrust angle
Try putting a washer in the 6o'clock screw thing, it'll raise your thrust angle a little.

I thought at least this u all give the plan
I don’t have a drawing of the powerpod
NO NO NO , I WANTED THE POWERPOD WIND TURBINE , NOT THIS KIDS STUFF
