2:55 "The opportunity to secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself.”
Brilliant video this! Please do a video on Confucius and the Tao Te Ching. Also as an easterner, I'm also keen to know what your thoughts are about ideas in the Bhagavad-Gita and Buddhist & Hindu mythology.
Thanks. I am indeed interested in Eastern Philosophy, esp. Taoism and Buddhism, but I haven't had the time to read much as I'm focusing more on Western Existentialism. I'll definitely explore them in the future though.
@@Eternalised As an easterner I'm really pleased how you portray the school of thought with intellectual honesty. Also you could experiment with video lengths like 5 minutes ones as well as ones which are 30 minutes and upwards.
@@Eternalised Always, my friend. Also wanted to know in the western existentialist movement who are some handful of the thinkers, who had the greatest impact on your own thinking? Nietzsche? Kierkegaard? Dostoevsky?
@@NegationOfNegation I have had a deep affinity particularly for Nietzsche. Dostoevsky is marvelous as well. Kierkegaard is perhaps the most profound Christian I've read. Camus' helped me formulate my "absurd" motto "finding meaning in the pursuit of meaning"
Another awesome video man! Liking the name change, what made you do that?!? Also, the fire fighting was pretty interesting to me, I never really thought about if you're fighting with fire, then you have to attack the side of the base where the wind is facing to make it spread faster. Seems like common sense now, but it shows you how in-depth all the plans had to be at this time.
If you know yourself and the enemy you will not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy for every victory gained you will suffer a defeat. If you know neither yourself or the enemy you will succumb in every battle
@3:25, uhm no, we see the lightning before we hear the thunder. That is because light travels much faster than sound waves. Please get your facts straight before narrating great content as such.

Yes your totally right, my mistake. I realised it some days later after publishing the video! I added a note to the pinned comment, thanks!
Still don't understand why this isn't studied within tertiary education 😤
