*How we feel and how we react inwardly and outwardly are themselves shaped by the adversity we encounter as well as our general experience, especially in formative years* . That's psychology. That's neurology. That's biology. The only way your first statement could be true, we would have to have chosen our inner condition before birth with *no* influence from any biology, sociology, culture, etc. that *we* didn't ourselves develop *from scratch* . That's totally and utter impossible. The best we can do is broaden and deepen our awareness to the degree our condition(ing) and environment allow. No more. No less. Men have a "feminine" aspect as women have a "masculine" aspect so this video can be more than just helpful for men in relating to women. Of course, people of a given sex can have the opposite one's nature predominate as well, i.e. women with more masc, and men with more fem. Thanks for the insightful content.

Having an ex with borderline personality disorder this passage hit me the hardest "Persephone’s shadow expresses a woman’s tendency toward passivity, naivety, and a need to please and be wanted by others. She is the puella aeterna who doesn’t commit herself to anything or anyone (be it work, education or a relationship), because making a definite choice eliminates other possibilities. Persephone’s shadow is embodied in the woman who is so indecisive that she waits for something or someone to transform her life, like a girl waiting for her prince to come and be eternally in love and live happily ever after. If she finds him, however, she is quickly disappointed and finds that reality is nothing like her fantasy. In her book, The Way of All Women, Jungian analyst Esther Harding describes this type as the “anima woman”, who receives the projection of a man’s anima and conforms to the image. She “adapts herself to her man’s wishes, makes herself beautiful in his eyes, charms him, pleases him.” She is “generally unselfconscious, she doesn’t analyse herself or her motives; she just is; and for the most part she is inarticulate.” In other words, it is her pattern to unconsciously conform to what a man wants her to be."
I recognize this very well in myself. It is very painful actually on both parties. I appreciate that he said that if a person can come out of this, they know both life and death. I think there is much wisdom that comes from perpetually putting yourself in the dark until you learn what you need to learn.
I struggle with codependency, but I guess the difference between a borderline and codependent person, is becoming dilusioned with your partner. I don't just stop loving someone because they upset or got me angry..
All personality disorders are persistent and consistent expressions of extreme aspects of the human character that is within all of us. In short, an archetypal possession. Diagnoses are sometimes helpful and sometimes more debilitating. Like, never read a DSM if you have lived a full life but don't have much training in it's contents, the urge to say, "Oh god/goddess, I do that too" is intense.

I've been a big fan of the channel for years now and it's great to see such a thoughtful video about various mental and life aspects about women. I've always found women to be weirdly interesting since I've had a great relationship with my mom and my sister and many of my female friends. Feminine archetypes being displayed like this gave me a lot of insight and a new perspective on something thats usually a sensitive subject to delve into. Also I'm a big fan of using words like Immaturity and Virginity in their most literal forms rather than those words typically being associated with childishness/unintelligent and sex
This was such a brilliant analysis, thank you so much for all the effort you put into the script and the very valuable and insightful choice of imagery. So many beautiful images that really capture the essence of what you are talking about. I am enthralled to learn more and to get my archetypal council in order; there are a few unruly archetypes running amuck. I so appreciate this channel.
So this is something that I've been curious about - partly due to my lack of guidance from some of the people in my life. I really appreciate your breakdown of the different archetypes, and I can definitely relate to a lot/identify the ways in which I have acted them out. One thing that I've found (and I'm not sure if you've covered) it is that there is a great misconception about the heroine's tale. Jordan Peterson posits that a woman's ascent to maturity is by taming the "beastly" nature of a man, as outlined in Beauty and the Beast. But this is wrong as it again puts the entire focus on a weird kind of subservience to a man, the whole of the story being that she involuntarily gives up her life and rescues him. I think the better explanation for the maturity of a woman is outlined in the story of Eros and Psyche. Idk if you've covered this already, but I would be interested in hearing your take on it.
I agree. Because of feminism and the damage it’s dark side is doing many men choose not to acknowledge the independent role of some women in the heroine’s journey and choose the stories that are more palatable and docile. They also have a deep fear of us not wanting to assist them. It would be refreshing to have a male cover this objectively who was not influenced by that deeply rooted fear.
I absolutely loved this video. I almost in tears after watching. I can walk away with a different and better understanding of myself and I how love and have empathy for myself. This was awesome. YOU are awesome
the architecture of your videos is phenomenal! you have an incredible ability to structure ideas so quickly, with very little knowledge of subject needed by the viewer. one of the best in your field my friend!
This is the first time I've heard someone say this as the same thing happened to me! Twenty years ago I read Goddesses in Every Woman and I never looked back.
I feel like the video encompasses a lot more information than just “immaturity” in the feminine so I think the video could use a better title but thank you SO much for this!!❤ Amazing video. I identify with many traits of each woman except Hera. Been there, done that & I’m so much more whole within myself than I ever was in marriage. Persephone’s archetype was the most shockingly accurate of them all to who I am & secondly, Aphrodite. I absolutely loved learning from this video! Thank you again ❤🎉
thank you so much for your videos. they are an absolute gem. i really enjoy watching them and understanding more about my unconscious and the human psyche. your videos are thought provoking, clear and insightful. xx much love
Let's not forget about Psyche ... the mortal beauty who went to Hell & back, to be brought up to Olympus as the most unique Goddess of 'em all. 🎼TD, Boston
I believe in the book the referenced "virgin goddesses" meaning "independent from man" not undefiled, pure, and untouched as mentioned in your video, I think it is an important distinction to make. Love your content !
Hey Externalized! Big fan of your work, including this video. I would like to give some criticism without coming off weird, but even though the video is about the Greek mythology goddesses and their symbolism, it feels very much filtered through a masculine perspective. For example it doesn't quite pass the Bechtel test (gotta double check, but that's the impression I got). Another example would be Athena being characterized as indifferent to romantic affiliations, but mostly being described in relation to powerful men. The way I would go about this, is to directly work with women when making videos about femininity. Because if I were to write about masculinity, I would of course (and without meaning to) bring my own female gender into the equation, cause that is simply one of the filters through which I process the world. I don't think you're doing something wrong, I just felt unseen through this video even though I connect with the material. This is a recommendation for extra points, I guess
I’d love to see a deep dive on each archetype both feminine and masculine. I think Many have been done for the masculines, I haven’t seen many for the feminine archetypes. Very interesting topics
You just excelled yourself. Your content has always been a jewel on the internet, but this video we can walk through a deep introspection and observation. Amazing!!!! Keep it going.
Beautiful video ❤ Not only are these archetypes.but stages of a woman's life.and if circumstances or the ego doesn't allow her live each stage at the appropriate age or cycle of life then chaos( sort of like a traffic jam) happens . for eg.a missing childhood can appear in self sabotaging behaviours in later adulthood . So the important thing is to experience/express each stage at the appropriate time in life🎉
That is actually really insightful, thank you for this. Dealing with women is, indeed, mostly a challenge to me, because so much is so...how should I say, vague, maybe? It's so challenging to distinguish what their persona or even ego and what their self is. But this, this has surely helped me, especially understanding my mother, who I'd say has a prominent Demeter shadow but overall well managed Demeter persona and my sister, who somehow drifts between an Artemis, I'd say as a persona and a Persephone as her actual self, shadow included, though there'd be much more to say...anyway, thank you for this!
@TrentAdam I see you've gained insights on that issue much more profound than the ideas that I currently hold...do you care to share with me your wisdom or is your intention of commenting solely to be found in a longing to being as insufferable as it is humanly possible?
@@whyamisad5740answering why you’re sad is not that important. Whats more important is that you are feeling sad, detached, and confused. Forget about attracting women, you need connect with yourself

As a male victim of abuse by women I’ve loved, this video gives me anxiety but I know I need to watch it. Everyone needs to watch this including my perpetrators.
I feel your comment my friend. Ever since the emotional abuse by my ex somewhat paradoxically I started to be not only extremely anxious around women but extremely anxious of anything that puts into light the negative aspect of feminity.
It is part of the healing process. Women aren't evil, but just as anyone they are capable of great harm and evil. ”True salvation comes when you know the truth, that true evil only serves itself and humans are only a means to its end. Evil cannot create but only destroy, and there for no knows no achievement or happiness. Those who enjoy pleasure in others suffering will never know true happiness, it is within this that it is indeed a lie.” "Evil strikes you, infects you with hate and contempt, and then it makes you part of it. While making you think that fighting your enemies will bring you salvation. It won't, you are only serving evil. You don't fight them because *you* choice to, but because what they did, that makes you, and so they control you. That's how, evil controls you. Your best defense is no hate, no anger, no attention. Choose your own will, don't let them control you."
@@sebastiaanstok I understand this, either way my body remembers the gender of my abusers. Society lacks accountability for women while men ridicule and crack jokes at your abuse. As a male abuse victim it is lonely. I’ve always understood it is people who are abusive not one specific gender. The issue is how society as a whole treats men and women differently. Pheromones, chemicals and fields of the body have a huge factor in the reaction a PTSD victim will have. My mind knows the truth, my body reacts to the material world.
Because it’s a woman focusing on finding her mate or partner?! Yet you tout Athena? Heh keep your immature poisonous feminist bias away from here and let people think for themselves.
I find these archetypes fascinating but they do seem to have limited applicability. They concede that men and women both have masculine and feminine in them. But not that this masculinity or femininity might have been originally modelled on the opposite gender. In these sorts of myths, a tough, athletic girl is only ever so because her father led her in that direction. Whereas in the world we live in, a feminine boy might be the product of a feminine father and masculine father, and vice versa. The lineage and inheritance of these gender roles is becoming a lot more complex.
I used to be a Jungian fan of course the relationships he went against ethically with his clients changed my opinion. He’s still a landmark. However, at 75 and knowing about other female figures, like in the Hindus or even the Buddhist, which is far and few between like Tara. Yes there are other Psyche‘s to embrace, and granted that it’s a different culture. We have really made the world small and you can reach out and touch someone clear across the planet itself so therefore these Psyche’s of the feminine. Have ingrained themselves in us as well. It’s not just the Greek and Roman, etc. for example I also have a kindred spirit alignment with the Scottish crone; that being said I would like to see you do the same thing here as in other cultures, etc..
This is a reminder never to read the comments. Instead of being informed and feeling empathy, wanting to assist in ones transformation, comments are full of hate or victims. Another great video.
My shadow side (two sides of the same coin) is masculine and doesn’t see sex or gender either which creates this smoke behind me that brings a sense of intimidation. I think men and boys have an air of curiosity when women or girls have masculinity internally and externally. I physically look 50/50 feminine and masculine. I have received negative and positive commentary on my physical appearance and character. Whether it was direct or indirect. I use to be offended, but now I’m not because I understand myself in a way I couldn’t in the past. I think women and girls even if I was born 100% biologically a man would recommend that you should strive to add masculinity to yourself. I was raised with a toxic mom figure, she essentially embodies the toxic masculinity from men while appearing like a woman. Deceptive. I would battle with her on a field the same way I would with my dad. That’s how middle ground I am.

thank you so much for your videos. they are an absolute gem. i really enjoy watching them and understanding more about my unconscious and the human psyche. your videos are thought provoking, clear and insightful. xx much love
Let's not forget about Psyche ... the mortal beauty who went to Hell & back, to be brought up to Olympus as the most unique Goddess of 'em all.

Outstanding work Eternalised 🎉❤😊
I believe in the book the referenced "virgin goddesses" meaning "independent from man" not undefiled, pure, and untouched as mentioned in your video, I think it is an important distinction to make. Love your content !
He did mention them being independent
Yes! Ready to listen 🤓
Finally! I wondered if you would ever do a female one and so so happy you did. ❤ joining patreon next year
I’d love to see a deep dive on each archetype both feminine and masculine. I think Many have been done for the masculines, I haven’t seen many for the feminine archetypes. Very interesting topics
You just excelled yourself. Your content has always been a jewel on the internet, but this video we can walk through a deep introspection and observation. Amazing!!!! Keep it going.
love your videos❤thank u so much for amazing insight into feminine archetypes😊
This was an excellent presentation, leaned a lot.
Beautiful video ❤
Not only are these archetypes.but stages of a woman's life.and if circumstances or the ego doesn't allow her live each stage at the appropriate age or cycle of life then chaos( sort of like a traffic jam) happens . for eg.a missing childhood can appear in self sabotaging behaviours in later adulthood .
So the important thing is to experience/express each stage at the appropriate time in life🎉
Thank you for making this video. Need more resources for the feminine.
Thank you for another mindful video
Thank You *Enternalised* ... highly interesting as always
This is one of the most beautiful pieces of art i have ever consumed
Outstanding work, great video.
Been waiting for this!!! Love your work
Thanks!
So instead of working on attracting a woman you're just going to call them all too vague and worry about mythological crap?
@TrentAdam I see you've gained insights on that issue much more profound than the ideas that I currently hold...do you care to share with me your wisdom or is your intention of commenting solely to be found in a longing to being as insufferable as it is humanly possible?
@@whyamisad5740answering why you’re sad is not that important. Whats more important is that you are feeling sad, detached, and confused. Forget about attracting women, you need connect with yourself
Oooo I’ve been waiting for this one
Was kinda excited to see this video until I came to the comments. Why can’t you people just watch something and not make it political 🙄
"You may not care about politics, but politics cares about you."
Because all discourse about the other sex has been politicized, too. This is justice.
Because they revolve around everything? Do you not have the brain capacity?
Can't be mad at them. It's society and the ones in charge that built it.
@@glenbenton4855politicising bodies is not politics, it’s seeking control of an another person. There is no debate on human rights and individual needs.
This was very insightful. I feel like I am a mix of Persephone and a Artemis women. I especially relate to the dark side of Persephone and artemis. I need to face that.
Been waiting for this one
❤❤❤ Respect ! You work is really amazing you help more you know and world be better place if we study this schools.Time is change ! Thank you!
Watching these makes you feel somewhat reassured in your beliefs but also closing you off from other possibilities. Still cool though.
Recently discovered this chanel and i have to say i find it extremely intriguing. Being an introvert i I assume i have a natural attraction to this subject, one may even call it a predisposition, whatever the case may be i want to thank you for creating these videos.
Gosh I wish I'd known all this when I was young!
Much love to you ,man. ❤
It is part of the healing process. Women aren't evil, but just as anyone they are capable of great harm and evil.
”True salvation comes when you know the truth, that true evil only serves itself and humans are only a means to its end. Evil cannot create but only destroy, and there for no knows no achievement or happiness. Those who enjoy pleasure in others suffering will never know true happiness, it is within this that it is indeed a lie.”
"Evil strikes you, infects you with hate and contempt, and then it makes you part of it.
Love to you beautiful soul and I'm sorry for what you've been through.
Much appreciation. Thank you.
This is fascinating.
This is a great video, thank you!
We war not against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers of the air.
Brilliant! Thank you!🙏
Great work as usual. Keep it up pal!
I’m your biggest fan 🖤🖤
No sorry that position is filled 😅
This should be interesting. I have never explored this topic in depth....let's see what we learn
Very interesting point of view. Thank you! 😊
great video, thanks
Thank you for exploring the feminine …perfect video
finally he’s back.
I DESPISE the Hera archetype with all my heart!! I found a bit of myself in each of the virgin Goddesses, specially Athena and Artemis.
Because it’s a woman focusing on finding her mate or partner?! Yet you tout Athena? Heh keep your immature poisonous feminist bias away from here and let people think for themselves.
Ur such a boss bro, ur bida allways rock! ❤ love from Porto.
love your videos
ever considered doing a “The Psychology of Psychology”
I love this channel ❤
Loved this with the force of a thousand winds
I find these archetypes
fascinating but they do seem to have limited applicability.
What did Jung do that was unethical?
Elaborate on Jung's proposed ethical values?
@@RyanAsia-k8ehe had a romantic relationship with a client while he had a wife. Huge ethical breach
This channel is the best! 🤓
Now here’s something I’ve been curious about!
This is a reminder never to read the comments. Instead of being informed and feeling empathy, wanting to assist in ones transformation, comments are full of hate or victims. Another great video.
A reflection of the times
> Reminder to never read the comments
> It's in the comments
🤡
Thank you.
The dark tricksters are everywhere
@@lieugon People who read this already read comments and why would they listen to this anyway? You guys make no sense.
your videos are my favorite. is there a chance that a video about misanthropy could happen? im really curious.
You’re always cookin’! 🍳
Just watch it at don’t look at the comments? Why sabotage the excitement with looking at the inevitable political comments?
You have control 👍
Thanks. I needed to read this.
I have been waiting for this video since I watched the one about man-child
Wow. Beautiful content.
FINALLY!
The Answer to " WHAT IS A WOMAN ? "
Hey can you tell the artist name or from where did you find the reference image at 6:56 minutes.
Thankyou :)
Love topics like this.
Awesome content
I resonate to a bit of Artemis and Hestia
Well, I can relate to all these archetypes so I guess I'm doomed LOL. Very insightful
Thank you, much appreciated ❤ ☯️
Wooo! I'm ready!
Can you do a video and the game chess and its origin aswell as how it can related to life?
Good idea.
Shadow is an attachment of evil entity and never self. The wound from youth is the crack it comes through

Schopenhauer nailed it in his women essay
I feel called out by the title....
Your channel is a rock in a seal full of stones
Omg stop watching the video and go help that poor seal.
Awesome!
