    In all my years, I've never heard teachings and philosophy that spoke to me as much as this very thing. Whether he be real or simply an act of fiction, Lao Tzu was indeed wise.
    I look forward to reading his words for myself and implementing his teachings into my life.

    What a not coincidence! Yesterday, I had a question to a riddle by none other than Lao Tzu. I decided to skip it for later. Here I am less than 24 hours later and who is the video that I am watching (after finding this site today and watching 4 others of the oldest videos) about? Of course Lao Tzu. Chances are about zero, that I would find the answer to the riddle. Well it turns out the answer is here. That shows that when you need an answer, just relax and it will find you. Really like this site.

    Less Is More - This one just might be one of the ideas that most contrasts with our western way of thinking nowadays. The main concern here is always getting "more" - People overworking to get more money than they need, eating more than they need, owning and wanting more objects than they need, making themselves appear as more than what they actually are, speaking too much without having that much to say, and so forth. And apart from these material excesses, our very concept of ambition also seems to conflict with the idea of minimalism that the Tao presents. Ambition is an essential motivator to most people, however, we've been taught for too much time to supplant our lives with outwardly predetermined ambitions that mostly follow the line of consumerist thinking and behavior, where the excess is glorified and we can never be satisfied with what we already have.

    to 5, there is no need to give up on things, but to learn that matters(nothing, life is a wave) you have to stand over or beside your ego and accept it like your body and other people and the world.

    I do like to practice mindfulness, meditating, and breathing exercises. But, I also get a good rush from working hard throughout the day. For some reason, one that I can't explain, I love that "hustle" of working hard throughout the day almost like the rat race. It's a weird combination of the two but that's my life right now. I know I'll probably get burnt out from working hard like this, so I'll try to look back to this video one day and try to achieve happiness from within. Another great video man, I really enjoyed this one!!

    • @Eternalised
      @Eternalised  4 роки тому +3

      Thanks Sean! Absolutely! I do enjoy working hard and growing to later reap the benefits, it does have that kind of thrill as you say. You are already doing quite a lot to achieve inner-calmness with mindfulness and breathing exercises :). Taoism also includes that, and is also more of a way of life, that also has interesting outputs on our behaviors and to achieve that inner calmness. Appreciate your support.

      I've spent over 25 years living in south east asia and cannot live in any western nation now....it's not just the beauty of asian women but buddhism...the way of letting go...without knowing it I have lived the taoist way for decades... I do anything I want and also have excellent thoughtless samadhi and recite a buddhist mantra on a 108 bead mala every day yet also sometimes smoking cigarettes and drinking beer....having a lot of sex with beautiful girls...taoism is about doing whatever the fck you want and enjoy and not letting it bother you...it is about enjoyment of life with balance and control...not doing nothing and not doing too much...a taoist can drink alcohol or indulge in a drug...can have sex...anything part of the human experience is valid and viable...toaism is guilt free living...partaking in pleasure is not separate from the thoughtless bliss of meditation...involvement in details is not separate from the nothingness all details seem to exist in...the taoist gets immersed in duality...in the opposites while knowing the two beget endless multiplicity which is nothingness which is one power which is twoness and so on...for the taoist everything is nothing and nothing is everything

    Wuji moves And produces Taiji.
    Taiji returns to Wuji
    When the former becomes still.
    All things in the universe go like that:
    They eventually return to nothingness.
    Nothing comes from nothing is not true
    Because everything comes from an infinitely small point of singularity called Big Bang.
    What is infinitely small ?
    It is actually 0=nothing.
