Thank you idk where prodigy came up with keyblade wielders are dream eaters. We all literally watched the chirithys turn. The other weilders are just sleeping.
But you can see in the video the wielders hearts are being joined with their Chirithy's and then turning into the dream eaters. So it's still the hearts of the wielders. Also in DDD your dreameaters are called spirits. If that's not an indication then I dont know what is
@@Arreic89 no youre reaching mad hard for that, the wielders disappeared(went to sleep) and then the chirithys become dream eaters to keep their sleeping partners safe.
The reference mark or reference symbol "※" is a typographic mark or word used in Chinese, Japanese and Korean writing. The symbol was used historically to call attention to an important sentence or idea, such as a prologue or footnote.
Dream eaters are not the keyblade wielders themselves, they are their chirithies. The wielders themselves are asleep much like Ventus was. They might be able to "feel" what's going on but it's mostly the chirithy driving the wagon. I think Union X has the best story of all KH followed by KH1 and Days.
Union X definitely ties a lot of plot point together and gives much more answer instead of question unlike other KH games, the only problem is that its locked to a gacha game
The Dream Eaters aren't the wielders - they are the Chirithy taking a form to protect the wielders Hearts, and the Dream Eaters in KHDDD are different because they were made from scratch using Dream pieces
Exactly what I was thinking! You will also notice that the chirithies are absorbing the keyblade wielders' hearts making themselves into a special type of armor that defends against any threat specifically darkness similar to the ventus armor in kh DDD which is supposed to protect sora's heart from darkness although it have gotten controlled by darkness instead.
Meowwow: Meow! (Hello!) Me (as a Player who played KHUX): Hello again my friend, long time since the Break hasn't it? Meowwow: Meow! (Yes...) Me: *Sniff* I'm not crying, you are... :)
Just thought of something. Now that Xehanort is dead, will the player's body be restored? Chirithy said that if we choose not to sleep, our heart will join with a brand new heart and begin a new journey. So maybe the player can be revived. It's just a thought though. I honestly don't believe that the player will return. The player, however, deserves an award for good acting. We literally faked our possession to get Ephemer to open a portal just so that we could lock away Darkness. The sad thing is that we become the next villain based off of that. The player is cunning. It's really sad to now know a deeper reason on why Ventus was trained by Xehanort. Due to the player being Xehanort, Ventus was familiar. But with Xehanort being a villain, Ventus did not receive any kindness from him. So yeah, great job with the dark story Nomura, but you need to explain the Brain situation.
Would be awesome tho character customizations for the next big KH where we play a supporting role to the cast maybe the main player's character until we find sora
Luxu take the body of Brain as a vessel But he's hearts travel to Scala ad caelum time, using the hat as a material posesión and epehemer told the people of Scala about braig, so theres people remembering him, i Think thats what happend
No the player IS Xehanort. We chose to die and be reincarnated instead of just sleeping forever. Thats why Xehanort has dreams and flashbacks on the keyblade war.
If nightmares play to the same roles as dream eaters for lore, nightmares are the darklings taken in by their Chirathy's. In a sense they would be those who already lost themselves to the darkness. It begs a curious question that if struck down, would they return to human form like Heartless, stay locked in the dreams, or vanish?
So like when all the keyblades gathered around Sora in the Keyblade Graveyard at the end of KH3 might be due to Sora's connection to dreameaters and Ephemer giving a hand was to stop his old friend...
Kingdom Hearts honestly has some of the darkest lore in all of video games, and with stuff like this, it continues to get darker. But honestly, lore additions that make you rethink everything are what makes me love KH so much. This ending was honestly amazing; Union X now has my favorite KH story in the entire series and my 2nd favorite ending behind only KH2's ending. It desperately needs an Unreal engine remake imo even if it's only a cutscene movie. Also, it is thanks to Union X that the entire KH fanbase will now have PTSD from the dream eater theme :)

I talked about reincarnation being a thing. It was plain as day, since hearts (organ) does exist, but heart (soul) is a core. "Heart" doesn't always mean an organ with blood vessels. In japanese, "shinsou" and "kokoro" mean different things, but have the same core aspect, just like in english and spanish, heart also means "the core/center of---". The physical body is only a superficial covering, the true, spiritual being doesn't die, it changes. Hints of this have been in KH for a very long time, and it shouldn't come as a surprise that "losing one's body and memory" is no different than transitioning into another existance altogether. Four things can happen: 1. Spiritualization of a heart, which enables it to elevate itself into a higher sphere of life by accepting the light and conquering the darkness, an evolution of states. 2. Slumber, if it gives into darkness, further materializing and making irrecognizable anything or anyone into a lesser sphere of life, a devolution of states. 3. Still neither of the two mentioned earlier, the soul-heart hasn't finished his mission in life, and is also given the choice to start over, forgetting everything and being reborn again, while maintaining their spirit, or keep whatever outcome they may have chosen prior to physical death. 4. The fourth possibility is one we've already seen before: resurrection. You know, this kind of makes me wonder: who was Sora before born? And, in KH3, does Ephemer, the first Keyblade Master, have something to do with this? I'm starting to get the impression that, as long as the dream eaters live, Sora and the others can somehow bring them back to their former selves. Who knows, maybe even bringing Ephemer to life as well. That said, I wonder... will some remember who they were? This makes me think that, at some point in the franchise, someone, whoever it might be, will eventually recall past lives as a thing of yesterday.
I think Sora is just an ordinary boy with no real ties aside from Ventus taking refuge in his heart. I do think maybe Ephemer was watching Sora or at least knew about him from the book and at the time of the demon tornado helped Sora.
@@TacoLex Two things: 1. I agree that Sora is just a boy, although, Nomura always hints at many things with his artwork, and Sora isn't portrayed as a king just for show, and yet, I also understand that there is incarnation, and RE-incarnation, meaning this could be "the first", if ever there would be "the second". Simply put, there's no guarantee, at least to some degree, that Sora is "just" a boy who "just happened to be in the right place, at the right time", so to speak. 2. At a spiritual level, people can't help each other unless they're connected strongly enough so that their spirits can manifest. Given that reincarnation only takes place when, and only when a soul is "rapped in flesh", the "between" time in which a spirit does not have form exists, and since a soul doesn't have body and hasn't reincarnated, they do not lose their memory. Sora literally defeated death, so he literally has a connection to the dead, which is why the spirits of the wielders react to Sora being in distress, and why Sora was able to see Ephemer for a brief moment. My point is that none of the things that happen in Kingdom Hearts, or any franchise, happen because of "the script", or "just because". It just takes time to analize it, and besides, all creators and developers, at least when it comes to videogames, have revealed and hidden motives and reasons for why they do what they do, and Nomura and his team isn't any different when it comes to these kinds of little/big details. Another way of seeing it is simply to make this quick question: Do the little things not matter? The answer is no, they do. Big things are only as big as their small parts, and the same applies with anything at all. So, having this concept in mind, and given the information we know of, it's clear as day that nothing is left to chance. Interestingly enough, and for no small reason, "Destiny is never left to chance" is one of the main phrases utilized in the covering of BBS's box/case holding the PSP disc inside.
Wait a minute, that means that when the names helped Sora destroy the super mega vortex of shadowy blobs in KH3…then Xehanort was helping Sora defeat Xehanort….nomura what are you thinking?
Nomura went "Bravo Six Going Dark" on this one.. And on a whole new level.. By the way, I love the new OUTRO, which you definitely showed in your stream the other day.
I've been trying my best to put my feelings about this into words. Initially, I was surprised, horrified, even. The Dream Eaters are vessels protecting the hearts of fallen keyblade wielders, how crazy is that? Actual people who had lives, lived laughed loved, everything, and are now in a deep slumber because of things they couldn't control. Then I think about Sora, and how he's such a good boy. While the Eaters are chirithies, of course the hearts inside of them influence them to some extent, how they see the world, the form they take, maybe memories of the wielders bleed into them here and there. Their hurts, the things that make them smile etc etc. They wander the Sleeping Worlds alone and fearful of things that could possibly affect the hearts of their friends inside them. Then Sora comes along and BEFRIENDS THEM. He made them feel useful, happy and needed. Of course, it had to be Sora, because Sora is just that kind of person! Sora probably gave them meaning, that is more than just self preservation. And I'm sure the hearts in these chirithies responded to Sora's heart (What if Ephemer reincarnated as Sora, the same way Player became Xehanort?) and in turn feel this urge to protect Sora, to fight alongside him. So while the circumstances of their creation is tragic, when Sora came along, I can't help but feel happy for the Dream Eaters. They're in essence, Sora's children (also they are indeed children hence their childlike nature)! Its bittersweet. Even now my thoughts about them are ever changing, but damn this is such a nice piece of lore given to us by Nomura.
Union X has spawned a new meme that everyone has been saying Nomura: You dare mock my mascots? Now you must suffer! Fans: Cries You know in some shape form lol
Due to my personal interpretation of the Everglow Translation, the Player becomes Xeanort and born in Skala, the town built by his best friend before being taken and raised on Destiny Island. We know the rest from Dark Road and it would explain the flashbacks as they are his Heart's memories that are being connected to his new life's memories(Chain of Memories goes into memory as it pertains to the heart).
No. Dude, no. They are NOT the keyblade wielders, they are the Chirithys. Look more carefully. The keyblade wirlder DISAPPEARS and AFTER the remaining Chirithy becomes a dream eater.
I understood this scene to mean that the Chirithy become the Dream Eater varients. "When your heart goes to sleep WE become something to protect it". Seems to indicate that the Chirithy change into different Dream Eaters, not the players.
I think the dream eaters are just happy to see a living awake keyblade wielder. Also, not that sora has the power of waking maybe he can awaken all those sleeping wielders
I'm probably late to say this, but doesn't that mean Strelitzia's heart is now inside of a dream eater? Or maybe she joined with a brand new heart, much like the player. Thus, the question would be...who did she become? I feel like she's somehow linked to Princesses of Heart. Kairi?
Theory※: I don’t think Yozora or Luxord for that matter came from quadratum. When Yozora lost to Sora and disappeared, he woke up in a different place. From that, I believe quadratum is a place where dead souls gather from various worlds, and by worlds I mean universes. Yozora came from an unknown world Nomura has yet to introduce and his death led to his arrival in quadratum and later met Sora who was sent there for the same reason. I believe MoM is actually from Yozora’s world/universe, after their subsequent deaths at the hands of the unyielding darkness him and his fellow comrades were sent to quadratum. It is from there they learned there is another universe that they can traverse to which is our world. And this is when MoM came up with his plan, and with absolute disgareement from his comrades he decided to leave for that new, innocent world to fight darkness with a different approach, leading to where we are today.
i still defend that quadratum is a "eraqus" kind of thing, its basically square saying that universe is more focused on square IPs instead of disney's. quadratum could come from "quadrado" meaning square. even the place we fight yozora is clearly based on TWEWY's shibuya(since the building has a 104 instead of 109).
@@marcosdheleno Quad could also indicate 4th dimension, which correlates with the concept of unreality where imagination becomes truth and reality, tho I think the resulting environment is dictated by the person with stronger imagination, which is why Sora ended up in Shibuya, and that is probably Yozora’s imagination overwhelming Sora’s.
@@lokekennee8850 sure, i still defend that quadratum being closer to quadrado makes more sense, even more so since kh3 had almost no "square" connection.
@@lokekennee8850 well, i would argue that it did, the whole keyblade -> X-blade is just like that. if you are talking references that's also something that already showed up in the series with eraqus and yen sid. this would be just another play on words like those.
Seeing that finale... Then this video... My brain: What if the dream eaters were never trying to hurt us... What if they were trying to reach out to Ventus.... Did we unknowingly kill people for thinking we were someone else?... Me: Nomura... Why...
A more important detail for me was that the 4 Darkness could've accessed any Data World they wanted from Wreck It Ralph. If Strelitzia's data managed to take form in the data worlds, wouldn't that mean Data Darknesses exist now? And if so, wouldn't that mean we've now got at bare minimum 4 Data Darknesses spreading Bug Blocks to complete their goal for the data worlds end of things? With Nomura bringing Dream Eaters back into the picture it really wouldn't surprise me.
Nomura again did it Crazy huge idea: "Eraqus is Ephemer descendant" Ok I bet you can't surpass this "The Player reincarnate in Xehanort and Luxu took Brain's form" Shut up and take my sanity Nomura
Is anyone else disappointed that we didn’t get any explanation for Elrena’s extreme personality change? I was hoping for some kind of hint or element of her wicked nature.
Besides, Nobodies have a lot of emotional issues, and Elrena isn't like Larxene, they're completely different. On that note, she might have been sent to a time more or less ten years before KH, time of BBS, so she might have grown up there, and at some point, Xehanort killed her and took her Nobody into Organization XIII.
This is without a doubt my favorite kh story. LOL It’s wild how the player gets killed 2 times the exact same way with the keyblade beam. First by Ephemer and then by Sora as the end of kh3. This ending filled up so many plot holes even ones we didn’t even ask about. The whole dream eater thing is sad and man the player and strelitzia are the only one who died in all of this. Since xehanort is gone the player is gone forever. I wonder if there will be a way to reverse the effect of the dream eaters so that all those who lost their lives can come back. The masters are back, ven needs to get his old memories back, we need to find Skuld (aka subject X), we need to find marluxia and larxene since marluxia remembers what his task is which is finding his sister. Since Ephemer is the one who made scala he might be long gone by now but we saw his spirit in kh3 which means there might be a way for him to come back. We don’t know if Brain is still around and luxu took his body and sent his heart into the future, which is why the second he gets to scala people know who he is and he is instantly back. Who is that organization that knew he was going to be there? So many questions but man what an ending. Kh is going to get dark and this ending showed so many sad reveals about things we have seen throughout the entire series. I have never been more excited for the future of kingdom hearts. This ending gave birth to a new hype that surpasses kh3. BRING IT ON PAPA NOMURA.
I could see ephemer theoretically coming back if he knew how to use the power of waking. Considering it lets you travel through time maybe somehow he will be able to reach the current events of play. The only thing is what is the limit on the power of waking ? I know it lets you travel backwards and forward through time but to what extent ? Is it only to the extent in which you were humanely capable of living or do you think it lets you move past the time before and after you were born.
You all didn’t realize 2 things. The first thing is that caelum is the last name of Noctis from final fantasy 15 and also the statue of ephemer is where you fight the last boss of ff15....
Now the momment when soras connected to the dead keyblades of the old wasn't soo farfetched, Sora's heart is connected to them when he head back to dream world and play around with dream eaters.
Y'all know Sora is about to go out of his way to save every one of those hearts and their Chirithy. Also, the player could probably be revived with Xehanort's death. It's unclear to me if Xehanort is his reincarnation or if his soul was simply asleep in him.
Hey remember when Dream Eaters seemed like they were just funky creatures with not too much behind them I sure do remember such times and wonder WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON
Its weird as you realize all that xehanorth did has a meaning separating the darkness from ventus looking for marluxia and larxene secret past fixated in the old tales it really was etch in his heart
Man someone will have to help me with this. Watching the end of UX it seemed to me that the keyblade wielders faded or died, and it was the CHIRITHYS that became dream eaters, not the wielders. So in 3D you're fighting chirithys, not keyblade wielders. Chirithys even says WE transform in order to protect the wielders who sleep. Am I wrong?
Just thought about it dream eaters made a connection with sora in DDD so if they were the fallen dandelions then ot explains the light of the past helping him out

With if sora was reincarnated as Yozora. Xehanort was obsessed with the key blade war bc he reconnected to his pass self as a member of the dandelions. The final boss fight in ReMind is Yozora connecting to Sora, hence him fading away at the end of KH3 like the player character. This most likely isn't the case but its something to now think about
If you think about it... It's kinda obvious that dream eaters are former chirithys cause they all disappeared except one and that one is Ventus' chirithy who didn't fall asleep the way the other Wielders did
New question : where is Strelitzia then? Did she "sleep" or "join new adventure" ? I mean she's with neither Luxu or MoM last time we see her but- where is she now?
Idk. About the player being Xehanort, I think it makes more sense for the figure in the blue blue robe being the player. That the player raised and mentored Xehanort on the destiny islands.
Prodigy I have a theory about Luxu for Dark Road hope you’ll consider: I think it will be revealed Luxu has only passed down NoName ONCE, to Xehanort. Ever since Brain's body, he had been doing the same until he came to Scala, I believe Ephemer drew his attention, and he went there pretending to be someone else, joined and eventually became a teacher/keyblade master. Then as a student was chosen to inherit the NoName, instead of actually bequeathing it to them, he took over their body instead. So in the eyes of others, they could never tell the difference, until Xehanort came along and Luxu realised he is the destined scapegoat. Then he finally officially bequeathed it to Xehanort and went on to other bodies until 75 years later in BBS when he took over Braig, and eventually gets the keyblade back after KHIII. Ultimately, the NoName only had 4 owners: MoM --> Luxu (and many bodies) --> Xehanort --> Luxu again.
1 little lore detail.... huh... luxu being xigbar. Young Xehanort appearing in bbs, and in ddd learning about time travel being implemented. Sora and co dying in the keyblade graveyard, and using the power of waking to wrest the guardians of light’s souls from a heartless embodiment of death. Heroes in the mobile game becoming villains in the main game, All The dark bits of lore tucked away in the reports of a happy looking game. The freaking stars in the final world... Yeah... the dream eater and Xehanort plot twists are kind of surprising, yet expected by this point, always light hearted in the front, but with a dark side always tucked to the back.
I have a Huge comment about this topic on the first react video.... But Man... Nomura had this planned out all along for the origin of the Dream Easter being the Light in the Hearts of children to help rebuild the world. That's messed up. Nightmares are the fallen keyblade wielders to darkness. THERE AS SOOOO MANY OF THEM IN DDD!!!! Spirits are the Dandelions that were saved by their Chirithy...... T_T I'm so broken over this. This wasn't I suspect this is what Dream Eaters is... it's this is what the world has forgotten what happened and their sacrifices. There was no leadup other than the Dark Nightmare Chirity to Player spawned from being an energy battery like the rest of the none Dandelions keyblade weilders...
This happens the more we learn and discover things. Information we didn't know or thought we knew and act on only for more insight and knowledge twisting, changing, or dashing what we thought we knew and we think back too with regret, wonders of something different, or sadness. Recently was watching a KH2 play on Twitch with a person that just entered the series and played KH1 and CoM. Seeing how Diz and even Riku acted towards Roxas and Namine when using them. First seeing emeries as purely enemies but later with new knowledge see tragedy and regrets and the actions of the heroes in different light. Such as the scene where Yen Sid taking at face value at the time and he believed when saying that 'Nobodies don't have hearts and any emtions they display is a ruse'. Sora, Yen Sid, and even the Nobodies believed that but it was incomplete, off, and pushed foward by a lie or missing data. If time traveled back to that moment with Yen Sid and Sora knowing better would of instead of the sword/Keyblade could of Sora might of tried to communicate this information and truth to some Nobodies that had high brain functions to communicate and make choices tell that what they was told by their 'leader' was off and in time they could give birth and build their own hearts by experience and connections? The whole 'Nobody don't truly exist' always felt dark and a excuse to me allowing the choices and action of the 'heroes' to kill without remorse only with new knowledge make actions of Sora and other seem (not species but abstract) heartless and supremacist ('Somebody' species is better to Nobodies who 'don't exist' thinking)? Granted majority were doing wrong but part of me feels a sort of 'what if' Sora if he knew better tried reaching out each time or informing those with misinformation or wrong assumptions how many would of been open to a new better path for all? Part of me hopes that in a future game there is usually a place full of Mini Games (such as 100 Acre Woods normally is) and come a game come after KH3 maybe the protagonist being played might come across a world (let's say 'Loire Valley' on the same world of 'Beast's Castle') finding Demyx and Ansem the Wise with a bunch of 'Dusks'. Instead of battling Demyx is using his 'Redemption' time taking Dusks and other Nobodies that don't want to fight to this secret place on a established world. Demyx by chance came to the world and met a Prince and Princess that came to know by experience how 'not to be deceived by appearances', that a 'Beast' in not by how one looks but how one's choices, and lastly to help those that are hurting and might be helped. Making a 'heart building and rehabilitation camp' near the Castle grounds that was wide but unused Demyx and the staff filled it with activities that Nobodies play in hoping that with these activities can be somehow that first 'spark' to start a heart and build it by experiences in Nobodies over time. A camp filled with Arts and Sports Mini Games. Ansem the Wise is there to study (equal to score keeping and documentation) hoping this camp experiment will work so a more peaceful resolution could be brought foward and atonement for his own revenge thinking that shaped him before. The protagonist helps by playing with the Dusks. Later on however the Camp is under attack not because of the Nobodies there did any wrongful action but simply for existing and being different from others. Say Gaston who in the past was respected in his town due to a old war that happened but in time he lost because of his boorish actions in town. Hoping to regain his old reputation by causing another battle he begins using the people's fears of the different, unknown, or species to make a Mob and leads that Mob to the Camp. These dark fears Gaston started also cause Heartless to be attracted to that world once more. Lastly I pity those that think the only games that matter is KH, KH2, and KH3 and skip the others for lore and insight. I bet in time the game that many feels in unnecessary and filler the most in the franchise 'Recoded' will suddenly become super important and lore heavy somehow because that seems to happen with this franchise. Recoded: "Don't need to play it..."(5 years and some games later) "YOU NEED TO PLAY IT AND CRY WITH NEW INFOMATION YOU WILL LEARN IN TIME!"

True. It’s still horrific that we are basically killing the one thing protecting the sleeping keyblade users....at least the nightmares. XD
But you can see in the video the wielders hearts are being joined with their Chirithy's and then turning into the dream eaters. So it's still the hearts of the wielders. Also in DDD your dreameaters are called spirits. If that's not an indication then I dont know what is

The Dream Eaters aren't the wielders - they are the Chirithy taking a form to protect the wielders Hearts, and the Dream Eaters in KHDDD are different because they were made from scratch using Dream pieces

If I had to guess, I would say that the part were luxu is revealed to look like/ is brain prolly took place a few years after brain awoke in scala
personally, I'd take the assumption that Xehanort and Eraqus are now Dream Eaters.
Luxu take the body of Brain as a vessel But he's hearts travel to Scala ad caelum time, using the hat as a material posesión and epehemer told the people of Scala about braig, so theres people remembering him, i Think thats what happend

Meow Wow: I've seen the end none were spared
@@TacoLex Two things:

Union X has spawned a new meme that everyone has been saying

Due to my personal interpretation of the Everglow Translation, the Player becomes Xeanort and born in Skala, the town built by his best friend before being taken and raised on Destiny Island. I'm probably late to say this, but doesn't that mean Strelitzia's heart is now inside of a dream eater? Or maybe she joined with a brand new heart, much like the player. Thus, the question would be...who did she become? I feel like she's somehow linked to Princesses of Heart. Kairi?
now this brings me to: where's Demyx and Luxord??!!
5:49 Everglow cameo.
Theory※:
I don’t think Yozora or Luxord for that matter came from quadratum.

Is anyone else disappointed that we didn’t get any explanation for Elrena’s extreme personality change? I was hoping for some kind of hint or element of her wicked nature.
Well, she is near where Maleficent would be....

I like that of ventus smiling because of Sora gathering with his comrades
Its weird as you realize all that xehanorth did has a meaning separating the darkness from ventus looking for marluxia and larxene secret past fixated in the old tales it really was etch in his heart
Man someone will have to help me with this. Watching the end of UX it seemed to me that the keyblade wielders faded or died, and it was the CHIRITHYS that became dream eaters, not the wielders. So in 3D you're fighting chirithys, not keyblade wielders. Chirithys even says WE transform in order to protect the wielders who sleep. Am I wrong?
Basically the keyblade wielder's sleeping heart and the Chirity become one which results in a dream eater.
It is lke Riku's fusion with a Dream Eater but in reverse. Chirithies absorb their essence to protect them until they can be saved.

There is also the fact that xehanort has dreams of the players memories. With him beeing the players reeincarnation it makes sense.
@@lokekennee8850 LOL. What a fun jouney. Changing dirty diapers.
Prodigy I have a theory about Luxu for Dark Road hope you’ll consider:
I think it will be revealed Luxu has only passed down NoName ONCE, to Xehanort.
Ultimately, the NoName only had 4 owners:
MoM --> Luxu (and many bodies) --> Xehanort --> Luxu again.
Heroes in the mobile game becoming villains in the main game,
All The dark bits of lore tucked away in the reports of a happy looking game.
I'm so broken over this.
