Hi Lori, I love your Farm Girl Chalky Chicks Paint collection! Pretty colours. Great idea for the use of the plastic pizza "tables", I use them for cakes so that the plastic wrap doesn't touch the icing. Take care. Mary
I am adding this paint and wax to my shopping list . Thanks for sharing.

I’m working on Quilty Fun while I watch. I may have to get some of your paint to use in my sewing room. Farm Girl Vintage is already hanging in here!
Another great video. Such clever ideas, I believe I see a lot of painted items in my future. I hope you’re doing well and staying healthy. See you next time!
Love the colors.
Thank you Lori. I always wondered what people used chalk paint for. I didn't realize that you had to use wax. What a great project for my granddaughters when they come to visit. And of course, I love your fabric designs. I love having you in my life because you make things look prettier.
I thought that since it was Lori, the sock would be a cute little pink sock with turquoise flowers! :D
Like those colors, like the quick dry feature, now I'm looking around my living room thinking hmmm, I wonder . . .
Thank you for the tutorial. Great information!
Love your paint. The colors are amazing! I have the little stool too that you showed in the opening of your video. I bought it at Hobby Lobby. I think it was red and I painted the same color you did last Christmas.
I’m going to have to try this! Thanks, Lori!
thank you for this tutorial!!!
Beautiful color palette!!
I love your colors Lori! I've got a little chest of drawers that I'm leaning toward painting, and that blossom would be soooo pretty. I will have to look up your collection.
Lori I love your ideas you are so creative. I cant wait to get some of your paints and start painting my cross stitch finishes. And @loriholt did I hear you say you could paint your kitchen cabinets?
The colors are just fantastic!!!! So fun to watch!!!!
Thanks a lot Lori for this wonderful tutorial ! I wonder if you could show us in the future how you apply the paint and the wax in real time (not accelerated). I love your new UA-cam channel 💙
Hello Natacha...thank you! You could change your speed to slow it down while watching if you would like....that is always an option.
The reason that I speed mine up is because most people do not want to watch a really long video or watch paint dry in real time. ❤️
Touch the 3 dots on the top right of the video & thats how you can change the timing
Love the colours where do you buy chalk paint I live in Australia. Thanks Lori ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Lori, where can the tubs for your supplies be found? Love your colors!
Hi Donna, I find mine at the craft stores in the storage section. 😊
Such cute colors! Who are the turkeys who gave this a thumbs down? Boo!
YAY...1st viewer of the video!!!
Hi Lori. Another fabulous tutorial. Could you please tell us what grade of sandpaper you use. Thank you🌷
Hello Hanya...I typically use a fine to a medium grade of sandpaper:) ❤️
Sooo cute! Where can I purchase Farm Girl paints?
I just ordered the Cherry Pie paint
today
Miss Lori, you're too cute! ♥️
Thank you for your awesome tutorials! Do you have to put wax on at the end of every chalk paint project?
❤️❤️❤️
Awesome tutorial! The colors are so beautiful! I have a question...which of your chalk paint colors would be the closest match to the sewing machine color in your “Sew She Did” pattern? I have the cross stitch hanging in my sewing space, and I have a little wooden thread holder shaped like a sewing machine that I wanted to try to match to it. Thought it would be fun!
Hi Jessica...I'm thinking that TEA KETTLE is the closest match:) 😀
Thank you!!
❤️
Thank you for this video, Lori. Where did you find the miniature beds?
Hi Bunny...all of those beds are vintage and I have collected them by thrifting or at antique shops. 😀❤️
Do you have a brand of paintbrushes you prefer, or a brush content you prefer to use with these? I’ve only really ever painted with watercolors, and I use squirrel hair brushes for that.
Hi! The brushes that I use for smaller pieces like I've shown you in the video are typically used for acrylics. 😀
Do you complete the same process for mason jars as you showed with the frame (including the wax)? Thanks!
Hi Alice...I sure do! 😀
Hi Lori, I have purchased the chalky chicks water based top coat but haven’t tried it out yet, does it work and have the effect as the clear wax?
Hi Kristina...yes it's a great topcoat option too. It dries clear with just a little sheen.
I use either that or clear wax to finish my projects.
I always use the wax when I am distressing a piece to make it look vintagey:) Hope this helps! 😀
Chalk paint on glass. Repainting a two wooden drawer hutch or stand . If you want to add gold or silver accents on the corners or knobs would you use antiquing
Paste or should still use the wax ?
If you are using ceramic you could fire the gold on I no longer have my kiln but I could find someone that does ceramics. I use to have a mold that was an antique small bath tub. It was so much fun to decorate. I didn't know about the use of wax thank you Lori
Where can we get these colors?
I may have missed it, but did you make the little beds?
Hello Jennifer...those beds are all vintage doll beds that I have thrifted or found at antique shops. 😀❤️
Can you use your chalk paint on unfinished wood or does it need to be primed?
Hello!...no it does not ned to be primed...that is just one reason why I love chalk paint.😀
Lori Holt thanks for replying. I have a big project to try. Loved your video!
Do you need to wax?
I want to chalk paint my old book shelf. Do I still apply wax?
Hi! Wax is the protective coating and if I were to do a bookcase ...yes I would apply clear wax. If I wanted to distress it I would apply the brown wax as well. 😀
@@LoriHolt thank you so much. I want to do this but nervous.
Do you have to remove varnish from furniture
Hi Laurel...not with chalk paint! Just clean the piece you are painting first and then start painting...no priming is needed and that's just one of the reasons that I love my Farm Girl Paint:) 😀❤️
Can you pin the pink soap so we can find it, thank you
I just get it in the paint section at my craft store or on Amazon. 😀
Lori Holt thank you so so much!
Why do you use the wax?
Hi Glenda...wax seals the paint and protects the piece giving it a beautiful finish !❤️
Where can I get the wax?
@@Painting50 Lori linked to the items at the Fat Quarter Shop; link is in the video description box 🙂.
