Each tutorial I'll be showing you just one of ten blocks.
I'm also going to make several blocks of each to make a quilt for my bed and I'll take you along on that journey with me as I sew blocks each time on my vintage featherweight sewing machine.

Lori, your workspace is so neat and tidy. Mine is a disaster.
two in one week...score!!! Yay.
Lori you look amazing!! I’m so happy for you. I wish you would share your weight loss secret and how long you’ve been working on it. I need some of that incentive for myself.
Yes! This! ❤
Personal question…
Thank you for doing these videos. I could watch you all day long. It confirms that what I'm doing or I learn a trick to make my sewing easier or better. THANK YOU
Received my first fat quarter. Another one on the way! I must say, this fabric is beautiful! The colors are vivid and bright. Love, love this fabric line. I still need to see what background I want to use.
I now need to go buy more starch as I always starch like Kimberly does! Such a wonderful collaboration you and Kimberly have! Granny square finished, Scrappiness is finished and still working on the spools quilt along! Keeping me busy now in my retirement! Thanks for you clear, simple instructions!
Lori, I'm so glad you're back with new content. I learn so much from your method of sewing. I do love and use all your rulers, and when i don't, I see variations in my sewing. Thank you for sharing your time and talent with us!
Lori , girl you look awesome ! Thank you for doing this . home town FUN!
Thank you for sharing this wonderful project.
Many Thanks, for showing us how a fat quarter piece of fabric (backgrounds, in this instance) can be cut ahead of time for specific pieced blocks in this quilt; and the correct sizes for the printed fabric pieces needed! This type of "spacial math" cutting is extremely challenging for me!
Once again it’s your tips that keep me on track. Yr advise to measure along the way has helped me greatly! So grateful for yr channel Lori! 😉
Another cute block. Your tutorials make it look so easy. Thank you. ❤❤❤
Ms. Lori, you look amazing!!
Your grandbaby is so cute
Oh your grand baby is so cute!
I love the deeper reds in this Home Town collection 💗
Thank you . Amazing blocks. You put them together so well
Love that you press seams open! So much flatter and simpler in the long run, but maybe a little harder to match seams sometimes.
I just ordered Scrappiness is Happiness and Farm Sweet Farm. I only discovered you a few months ago so I am going back to look at older quilts after I watch your recent videos. I love all of your work. You're so talented Lori. I also enjoy your videos with Kimberly Jolly. Your friendship and warmth toward each other is obvious and I am so jealous:)
Perfect time!
Thank you for showing how you cut your fabric. This was very helpful..
LOVE that GINGER Hair!! Thanks Lori--I'm running to the sewing room to make Block 2.
Thanks for another wonderful video. I always seem to get inspired. I love the review on how you cut fabric. For me cutting is the scariest part of the whole process. I can become paralyzed and never start because of cutting worries. You make it seem so simple. Have a blessed week ❤️
Lori you look so much younger. Love your hair longer!👍🤗
Loving this series already! I am excited for all 16 blocks. Have my Lori notebook out taking notes ☺ Thank you so much for the videos🤗
❤ thank you Lori for your videos and your talent. I am definitely going to so along with you with so your stash. ❤
Thanks so much❤❤
I really like these Lori!
Love the idea of making a bunch of the 5" blocks to make a scrappy quilt. I think I may have to get my Hometown FQ bundle starched & order a background print. Thanks for even more inspiration!
I really enjoyed this tutorial, thank you for all this trips ❤😊
I love your videos, love your blocks. Your a keeper. ❤
Thank you! I love how you cut. I have all your smaller rulers.
Hi. Glad to view your UA-cam helps me on cutting & sewing
I take any reminders & tips
Have you worked with flour sacks, if so what patterns were used ... & starching helps
Thanks for all you do!
I hear people complaining about the quality of even quilt store fabrics. I believe it is in part because blades are dulling as they are used. As well as possibly the pieces are cut somewhat off grain. Is this the formula of preventing the fraying many complain of?
Is there such a thing as Riley Blake nail polish 💅?
Hello Lori. I love your snugg sewing room and sewing machine area, but I always wonder...when you are sewing blocks together how do you manage? at certain point you will have to manouver a large top, how do you do it? I have a small sewing area myself and it drives me crazy!
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙋🏻♀️🫶🏽 yaaay!
Cutting my yardage like this scares me so much! I am a garment sewer moving into quilting...maybe it will get easier.
Wondering if you could give a tutorial on your rulers and how to correctly understand and use those rulers. I purchased one 6.5 square ruler but not understanding how it works. Those darker lines confuse me. I know it sounds silly but I’m just not getting it. Thanks
Why do you press open instead of to the side? Just curious...
PS. Your nails are so cute!
I am new to you channel and enjoying it. Where do you get your clappers, your little wooden iron, the seam guide on your machine, the various sides squares to test your squares and the, not sure what to call them, the preview boards? Thanks.
You look wonderful!!! Is "squish" now a technical term?
It's quilt terminology.

Curious - why don’t you strip piece the 9 patch❓Glad a new scrappy sew along. I learned how to make cats cradle unit a different way!
What about the ten inch block? What size is everything?
Ok I just seen this video- do I need a pattern - or a book? How long does the sew along last?
❤
Lori do you sell the double pens? I have looked everywhere for them and can’t find them.
I’m wondering you said you could add borders to make your quilt larger or smaller. How exactly do you add borders to make a quilt smaller?
I heard pressing seams open causes weak seams. What are your thoughts?
There are so many differing opinions on this, but bottom line, when the open-seam quilt is finished, the only thing covering batting in the seam area is thread. With a folded seam, fabric covers the batting. Your decision.
I don’t worry too much about my seams being pressed open because I quilt everything to death. A seam stick helps me get those seams pressed flat without disturbing previously pressed seams in the square.
Where can I get your 1/4 seam allowance template
I wish I could afford all the things your advertising.
What number aurifil is best for piercing?
50 wt.
Man I do not like these small blocks. I have the house blocks down except for appliquéing them down. I’d rather sew larger blocks. This is going to be a task to finish😂
