When I moved to town after my husband died, I finally got all my sewing things together for the 1st time. Surprise..40 totes of mostly fabric..3of them held yarn..2 held crochet yarns..batting had been stored in a new garbage can, but leftover pieces would fill another one. I had no idea. Your set-up is quite orderly and together. Wood furniture is lovely with cheerful colours. Great idea! I hung a large batting which covered a new couch, as a quilt block holder. Found 2 solid wood bookcases that hold quilt books..patterns..some magazines. Been sewing since I was11. Now at 78 I still love to sew.
I love how well thought out all of the spaces are and work so very well since you are working for your craft. I'm sure that really allows the creativity to flow easily. We've been slowly downsizing the things in our home and more rooms are becoming available and I jokingly told hubby I could now put up a design wall in one of the room to keep my kitties from helping destroy my work. He said, "You'll have three rooms and the loft in no time." My response was, "ok let's get on it! Oh and the garage for my long arm!" Thank you so much for sharing your inspiration. I love how you've kept an old style charm to everything. It feels so warm and welcoming.
OOOO.MMMM.GGGG. I was literally laughing out loud at the joy built into these craft rooms. You were coming out of the crochet room and I shouted at the screen "Where is the Cross Stitch Room?!?!" Then, you answered me. You can tell that you put your heart and soul into those adorable rooms!! Your creativity and charm are spread throughout that upstairs crafting and sewing dream loft. Yes, I liked your summer dress & and staying true to yourself: barefoot, yay you! It's how I am dressing this summer, in my own apartment, working on self-care...learning micro-crochet. X-STITCHING. Beginning to open moving boxes, sorting through, and finding places to store quilt & X-STITCH fabrics and notions for all 3 crafts. I'm glad I purchased shelving units on wheels as they are also useful in my kitchen as a movable baking supply pantry. Lori, it was fun for me to see you chose the purpose of each space and were able to make it comfy and practical! Including your precious grandchildren brings even more memories to all of you!.

I was laughing though when you showed the lovely Guest Bedroom with all your GORGEOUS Cross Stitch, as you were going round I was thinking - well, where does the guests hang their clothes up or put things away in a draw ha ha. Really like your new house and I know you will be very happy there and closer to Cassidy and Riley Blake etc. Really looking forward to the next Granny Circle Video - you would be proud of me as I have made 6 of your doilies and LOVE THEM so much. I would like to make a Round Cushion too so am hoping your demonstrate the best way of doing that with them. Thank you for this fun tour. My husband just finished my sewing room in April and it is full of ALL things LORI HOLT. I have 7 children and have been quilting for 21 years , I enjoy cross stitch as well and thanks to you about a month ago I learned to crochet a granny square and have almost finished my first pillow. Beautiful crafting space. I sew, crochet and knit, but I have just everything in my bedroom. Nice, but of course super tiny compared to what you have. I still love it. I LOVE your dressers and all the colours and the kind of shabby chic look.
My oldest just moved out and I took her room as a sewing room... I had 5 totes and 3 hampers of fabric in various rooms of the house, I used the kitchen table and my sewing desk was in the living room, but now...... It's so nice to have it all in one room now! I'm still working on organizing and getting some furniture. Love your new space!

Since I can’t, I’m thinking of falling on my sword… You are so beautifully, creatively organized; I feel like I’ve accomplished an Olympic Gold Medal if I can figure out a clever way to gold metallic-paint my fingernail clippings to make miniature wind chimes for a fairy house.

Thank you for this fun tour. My husband just finished my sewing room in April and it is full of ALL things LORI HOLT. I have 7 children and have been quilting for 21 years , I enjoy cross stitch as well and thanks to you about a month ago I learned to crochet a granny square and have almost finished my first pillow. Can’t wait to learn punch needle next. Blessing, sweet friend and thank you for all you do, It just brings me so much joy.

Beautiful crafting space. I sew, crochet and knit, but I have just everything in my bedroom. Nice, but of course super tiny compared to what you have. I still love it. I LOVE your dressers and all the colours and the kind of shabby chic look.

My oldest just moved out and I took her room as a sewing room... I had 5 totes and 3 hampers of fabric in various rooms of the house, I used the kitchen table and my sewing desk was in the living room, but now...... It's so nice to have it all in one room now! I'm still working on organizing and getting some furniture. Love your new space!

I feel awe, joy, creativity, inspired, covetous and like following you around like Mary’s little lamb (and have a yearning to move in immediately and live in those heavenly rooms, in your dress) in my dreams. Since I can’t, I’m thinking of falling on my sword… You are so beautifully, creatively organized; I feel like I’ve accomplished an Olympic Gold Medal if I can figure out a clever way to gold metallic-paint my fingernail clippings to make miniature wind chimes for a fairy house.
