People originally moved here to get away from everyone else. And then everyone followed. I am annoyed at anyone moving here hoping to change it. We like it the way it is. It would be like moving to an amish area and demanding they change their ways to fit you. If a conservative, family centered state isn't what someone wants, they need to move to a state that already fits their ideals.
While it is NICE that SLC is growing and residential units (aka apartment buildings ) are increasing,,, what is SAD is that rents are increasing 3-4-500% over the past few years,, and home prices are increasing also. What use to be affordable is now almost non existent for current residents,,,,
Hi Scott! I would have some questions about the rental perspective of Salt Lake City. Actually both side of the topic, if you have information about these.
@@scottdsteelePlease DO cover the Rental Market in SLC County. As a resident of SLC/UT County over the past 20 years, I have seen rental rates go UP, especially since Studio Apartments are becoming the Norm,,,, mostly because a lot of people are moving here and excited to being able to live alone for CHEAP, we’re instead if they lived in LAX, PHX, SEA, SFO, they would pay equal to share a place with 3-4-5 others. As an older man, retirement age, I do not really want to build again, and rent is Unreal for my circumstances (Pets,,,, YES apartment developements discriminates due to pets,,,,). Scott, I want to live in the city, but prices are UNREAL.

People like that move to Utah with the sole purpose of trying to change it.
I agree Emily! Thank you for sharing
Don't move here unless you're an actual conservative seeking refuge from the increasingly toxic blue states
Thanks for sharing
Great comprehensive video as usual Scott. I can't believe how expensive land is here.
Thanks Andrea! I love seeing your comments!
Thanks, first UA-camr that is actually honest about the climate here.
This is the goal!

You are spot on Cole. It's terrible and inflation has hit housing in a big way

I will do a video on those things for sure! Stay tuned
