The band members of Rammstein grew up in communist East Germany. There, it was forbidden to listen to certain Western music, because this also spread Western ideology in people's minds. But radio signals know no borders and are unstoppable. For this reason, the band members are also holograms, which are not tangible by the police.
The message of the song is that there are always authorities who want to censor certain types of art because they oppose their own aspirations. That's why at the end of the video, when the colors come back into the picture, you see that the EU flags are not on a blue background, but on a red one (like the communist flag).
From Rammstein's point of view, the fall of the Iron Curtain was a liberation of their art, but they quickly had to learn that there is censorship by those in power in the West as well. Their LIFAD album was censored and certain videos were not allowed to be shown on MTV.
You also submitted to this censorship in your reaction by not showing nudity. I am not talking about pornography, but natural human nudity.

they have ambiguous points of view from ideologies policy for example in their song links they talking about of the opposite at radio lirics I think it's because their country knows very well both sides of the coin and in some ways had similars concept I could be wrong but it's my interpretation.

As others said, Rammstein band members come from East Germany. This country was producing just few cars, and the one that girls are turning over is Trabbie, that had body made of... more or less plastic 😉 There was a saying that Trabbi's owners do'nt worry about the rust, but rather be worried of bark beetles 🤣

    Hi! :)
Till's makeup is from the cabarets of the Berlin of the roaring 20's. If you know the movie "Cabaret" then you know where his makeup is coming from (especially in the scene with the song "Welcome").
The roaring 20's had the reputation to be especially kinky and decadent with a lot of orgies, crossdressers and homosexual activities. Especially in Berlin.
The rest is a mixture of Third Reich and GDR (DDR), because both dictatorships restricted the receiving of radio waves from foreign countries with foreign ideas and foreign music.
If you were caught listening to foreign (enemy) radio stations in the Third Reich this could be your end. In the DDR you were thrown in prison and / or your life was ruined by the secret service (Stasi).
In both states the radio was the life line of the people for listening to modern western music that was forbidden in both dictatorships.
Despite of those threats the most people in the GDR watched west-TV and listened to west-radio. There was an area in the east, where no western TV and radio waves were getting to. That area was called "Tal der Ahnungslosen" (valley of the clueless) by the east Germans.
The women protesting and going over the top with bare breasts and the women turning over the car were part of the women's rights movements. Then they had written on posters and their body in the 1960's & 1970's the slogan "My body belongs to me" (part of the pro abortion movement inside the womens rights movement of the 1960's and 70's).
In the video they had written on posters and bodies "My Radio belongs to me".
In the same women's rights direction goes the scene with the complaining man (about the food) and the woman throws him to the ground.
But to be honest: I don't know, why they brought up that women's rights stuff in the context with their song about the radio. Maybe the radio helped spreading those political ideas back then, too.
The music was in big parts a homage to the sound of the band "Kraftwerk" and their songs about radio waves and the radio itself (partly integrated into songs like "Autobahn").
    My recommendation:
The band "Kraftwerk" and their song "Autobahn". If possible, take one of the latest versions. If possible from one of their latest life events with the 3D animation of the German highway in the background.
    Greetings
    Mega 👋😇👋
    PS:
"fernes Weh" means literally translated "distant pain", right. But in this case it is an unusual, artistic version of the German word "Fernweh" (Wanderlust, travel nerves, travel bug, to have itchy feet).
All those English expressions and words for Fernweh (even the imported German word Wanderlust) aren't catching the real meaning of "Fernweh". It isn't just the wish to travel somewhere. It's like a sweet (at the same time wistful) yearning and thinking about distant places.

This is a serious history lesson. I think the radio has a very powerful meaning in german history. Listening to foreign radio stations was forbidden in both german tyrannies, the Nazi-Reich and later in the communist east germany (Rammstein grew up in east germany). This means that the radio always was a symbol of liberation in germany. Liberation in the political means, by giving you access to information from the outside world, but also in cultural ways. Foreign music (think about african music, or american-african music like swing and jazz) was seen as primitive here, it was seen as poisonous and a bad influence by the Nazi government. And the east german communists confiscated radio devices that were able to receive foreign radio, and people got in trouble for having these. To these historical regimes, the radio was as dangerous as the internet for china, russia and north korea today. And it's not that long ago, when you think of east germany. I was 6 years old when the berlin wall fell in germany 1989. So even the older Millennials (mostly Rammstein fans) still remember.

West Germany was essentially watched over by the British and America whilst East Germany was overseen by Russia. Russia ruled with an iron fist. Any radio from the west was banned. They only had approved old traditional German radio. Likewise with TV and publications.
All Rammstein members are from East Germany. It was a way of life though and some liked it, same with Soviet Union. I believe Flake has always said he misses certain aspects of it. Outside influence can be both bad and good in some cases i suppose

For me, the song says that it was once forbidden to listen to certain music in Germany during the Nazi era. For example BBC. These were “enemy transmitters” later in the war. And these channels have given hope to many people in Germany who did not adapt and were persecuted. And the entire Rammstein group grew up in the GDR and were already making music back then. The GDR also wanted to “convey” its propaganda to its citizens. But the citizens either made their own music or listened to Western television and radio, which was actually forbidden. It was a piece of freedom that had no limits. No wall could separate them.

It is not about the Nazi era.The band grew up in Eastern Germany where Western music was forbidden. They show even the Trabant (the East German car in the video. It is about this dark era from the German history.

The song is about the situation in East Germany (before the reunion) where the USSR controlled East German government tried to control all influences to the people. All band members grew up in this circumstances. As you may know, that government even build a deadly border where more than 300 people were killed while trying to escape from that state. And the people living under this regime found a way to escape a bit by hearing radio stations from West Germany. Therefore "their ears became eyes" while hearing what they are not allowed to see. The band members are dressed like artists / actors in the 1950th-1960th.

Till's makeup, especially the lips, were made in remembership of a jester in old literature kingdomships. The jesters are often shown as a master of critics and jokes. But they were beside kings and had to tell critics and remembers his king, that he is only a mortal like his folk and has to do reasonable and smart decisions to rule.

You kind of need to know a little about history outside of the USA to be able to understand a lot of their artistic intent, but hopefully their videos and music encourage people to learn what it's about, that can only be a good thing. Maybe people won't repeat the mistakes of the past if they're aware of them.
