So glad you talked through the entire video rather than let us hear the fucking thing! Thanks!
it sounds like every other turbo LS engine. Nothing special there. if you must hear it though, there's videos of it on LMR's youtube page.
Less talking more throttle😀😀
Richard t lol yeah lol. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😂😁😁😂😂😁😀😁😂😂😁😃😄😅😄😄😃😄😅🤣
For real. We here for that hypnotizing sound
That Vette is balls deep in AWESOME, nuff fuckin' said!!!
TKR24 i think a paracute is needed tho if you need to stop fast
I heard enough! I always loved 'Vette's and this TwinTurbo 2K HP supercar is definitely the most powerful american car ever watched on YT from me! God job LMR.
So Nasty, I would go straight to jail with that car
This video is in Houston! Awesome. I used to work right around that area....too bad I never saw this beast on the road :b
ThePLANxZ Yeah they are right in memorial.
I was hoping they'd show some acceleration runs on the street. Curious how well those 20" Nitto Invo's would hold :D
Nice walk through. It looks like a monster.
Damn I Love This Vette
LOVE
gorgeous car.....very well done HTC
Awesome!!! Literally beautiful piece!!!
ok enough talking more engine sound
BEU -TI-FUL!
Josh Payne you forgot the "A" lol
oh...hah thanks!
Josh Payne
Why a carb style intake manifold? Does it spread the in coming air to each cylinder better then the front mounted throttle body IM? That would be my guess. I really like that hood and the color.
More consistent AFRs across all 8 cylinders.
I can remember the first Stingray,1963, and it was already 10 yrs. old then. It was just a corvette until then. Still one of the best looking Vettes ever.
my favorite generation with my favorite color congrats guys wonderful machine
Dude i didn't know you were into American muscle haha. Can't believe i found you on here
1,656hp... not 2,000... dislike?
1656 whp, 200 shot of nitrous, that's a solid 2300+hp at the crank...I think that's plenty to earn the title of 2000hp car.
When they say 2,000hp I'm guessing they mean at the crank. All cars lose horsepower from the crank to the rear wheels
2008YamahaRaptor700R
Its 2000 to the wheels.
94XJ That is if it doesn't blow up
Uhhhhh, Nothing makes me laugh more than people who claim to be car guys, look at car videos, talk about cars, but know nothing about cars. THE BASIC KNOWLEDGE SHIT.... When they refer to 2000hp, They are talking about Crank HP, Same number that manufactures use when marketing cars. That is not RWHP "Rear Wheel Horsepower"... Rear wheel hp is always less because of parasitic loss, Parasitic loss is the horsepower that is lost through the transmission and differential, Basically it takes power to put the power to the ground. Manual transmissions use less at about a 15-17% loss factor from what the engine horsepower is. Auto transmissions use about 20% and even more depending on the size of the converter ect. the higher you get into Horsepower like some of these 4 figure cars "1000+hp" the larger hp deficit you see between the motor and wheels.
Example, Take a C6 Z06 for example, It makes 505hp and the motor, But with that parasitic loss factor, They make about 440 RWHP on the dyno, So thats about 65hp difference between the engine and wheels. A car that is making 2000hp is going to have a good 300+hp difference.... So yea, This car is making 1600+RWHP which translates to a 2000hp engine.... BOOOO YAAAHHHHH MOTHER FUCKER!!!!!
Three words: I want one.
Three words: I'll take two
That will be 200,000
Rec a bit late UA-cam,but glad to see this Monster!
guys like you will always keep knowledge away from others
Dude we like your voice more than this corvette's sound.
I like the way the tires broke traction at about 125mph, that was impressive!
I did that in my Son's Vette in third gear and got a wheel hop out of it, damaged the rear end of which i had to fund. It was fun though!
that was nowhere near 125mph 70 maybe if that !
hdidane00
Are you referring to the video? if so i agree with you, it didn't appear to be that fast.
hdidane00
I'm also somewhat skeptical of the 2000 HP, my son's Vette is something like a thousand HP and that's enough for me. :{ )
Bobby Tucker Nah 2khp is possible, they have dual 76mm turbos. I have seen 2500hp from dual 80mm turbos, so its possible.
Good to see this beast at home on the streets of houston
Awesome car, inspired my build.
powerglide
Hypothetically speaking, just how much would it cost for one to get ALL these mods? Does anyone know?
Cost ha about 1 million to get that much control of it
If you have to ask the price, you can't afford it! :D ohhh how the other half live... :(
I CAN afford it you shithead.
χωσου να τον σπασουμε τον ηλιθιο
Chris Fokjohn .."Mod's".. lmao..
I love these wheels, ive seen them on a few cars now. just awsome!
Awesome! Mean as hell Vette you got there, and its definitely the right color too, ( though i may be biased cause i have a blue Vette myself lol ) as we say here in the South, that Vette'll haul ass and not have to make 2 trips! 👍
My Vauxhall Astra has 20,000 HP
Lmao
+binaryboffin I want one
Are you insane?
The highest HP is 1,500 (Bugatti Chiron)
and your car is a nuclear weapon from Jun Kitami?!
Vienna Binders are you stupid the title of the video says that that corvette has 2000hp so therefore thats more than the 1500 for the bugatti chiron
smokey the human yeah but this dude claims he has a 20,000hp car dumbass
technically with all the mods you no longer have a chevy
gotta get into that LMR state of mind.....MOAR POWER! ! ! !
This was my first time seeing a 2000hp street car on the internet.
That manifold sticking out through the bonnet destroys the look of the car.
billybob lexus true, I'm not sure how much more power he's making with that downdraft style manifold but it better have been worth it.
Agree 100% too sweet of a car to have a hole in the hood
La bla bla i didnt see any power or hear any sound
The biggest advantage that Ford GT has it that its engine is in the back, helping those rear wheels with traction and even preventing loss of power down the drivetrain. They are working on a Saleen S7 in Russia, using an LS-Series V8 (Probably a 454ci LSX V8) pushing just over 2,000hp from a set of twin-turbochargers and not just to its rear wheels but all of them. It's a custom AWD TTV8 they have turned that S7 into.
Beautiful job. My 800 horses are feeling pretty anemic suddenly! At least I still have my stock hood.
Why 2000 hp? why not 5555 hp or 8900 hp or 10,000 hp. I mean if you're going to make it 2000 horses why stop there? Where is the million horse power Corvette?
avantgardeaclue - LMFAO! Too funny.
beautiful corvette
Not only motor but exhaust, suspension, beefing up other components so they don't warp or break under acceleration. It adds up pretty quick.
Sick!!! Perfect color too
INSANE POWER!!!
Wow! TT & NOS. This is a beast!
Love that sound
I saw this at the royal purple drag track, it was pretty monstrous.
Damn, only if I can afford something like that, best color option for sure gotta love that blue, great looking Bette guys wow
wow that car is ultimate!
That's an awesome Vette!
One word = BEAST
Beautiful car
I love the styling of these 08 vettes.
the last two seconds of this vid is the biggest tease ever!
Chevy, runs deep; like your pockets must do, to pay for all that...!
Bad ass car! Hope to see you at the Texas Mile this upcoming weekend, will be out there helping a friend run his bike for the first time.
We'll just have to wait and see :D
More vids of this beast !!!!!!!!!!!!
sounds pretty tame for a powerglide thats great love this cars setup
I don't like Corvette's but I am certainly impressed by this car and the power it puts down. Well done fine sir, well done.
Yes, and it has been a drag racing standard for years. Tested and true.
LMR Baby!!!
Amazing car.
The C6 is actually very stable in triple digit speeds right out of the showroom. Adding aftermarket parts only makes it better... 1600hp is insane for a car with only RWD in my opinion unless there are super fat drag radials on it.
SICK!!
Wow what a beast
Beautiful
Sick vette. Badass
a Stage 3 took the hit and was pulled by an 1200whp LMR Viper at TX2k11. Kelly Martin has vids of it, HTC has vids of it too it was Mullet's car. the 1200whp GTR was no where close to the Vette, it was being slightly pulled in Vette's low gear, it was starting to freight train in high gear (~1700+whp).
this is out of the hands of the every day guy who just wants to have fun !!!
Beautiful..
i'm impressed...!
i will have to look that up
man who you telling lol when i saw that i was like WOW thats crazy its all good man thta just made two of us to be in shock thats all bro
Just so you know. It's Total Race building that S7 in Russia. It's using a 10.2 L (622ci) Proline engine making 2000awhp on pump gas and 2500awhp on C23
That part of video he said they were doing "baby pulls" just to make sure the powerglide didn't mess anything up for whatever reason. Before that he said they were doing 1656 to the wheels starts at 1:30 just incase you missed it.
Sick!!!
My dream car
Steve, I can't say why they went Poweglide, but to get around the spool issue they added a 200 shot of nitrous.
Omg i laughed so hard when i saw the other muscle cars they were like ur in my turf now boy!! Lmfao
that's insane!
That's awesome.
Nice!
Perfect car
not only weight distribution is on its side- the GT has a super low drag cd. and frontal area comparable to that of the Supra. amazing aerodynamics as well as a wide powerband due to the relatively large displacement engine which helps unsure big hp/tq to keep pulling up top w/so much air resistance. traction, aero, and powerband is the recipe to success at the mile. old records were shattered because it could push and retain unheard of power outputs (esp. when comp w/ older record cars).
Sickness
Corvette, winning drag and ALMS one year at a time! ^_~
Very nice car
thats where the nos comes into play. the numbers he gave us were that of the turbo-charged motor itself without the nitrous system engaged.
If this is the most powerful American car you've ever watched on YT, check out Rod Saboury's '63 vette and Larry Larson's Nova, they're both 6 second street cars. There are also shops like Nelson Racing Engines, whom I think do the best street builds on earth. They posted a video of a twin turbo 572 cubic inch hemi that makes 2,500 hp and is 100% streetable. In the video, it made around 1,950 hp on only 22 psi, the engine was built for almost 40 psi.
Yep, and I've also heard that it waists less power compared to other transmissions, it will also save weight.
it's built solely for the Moscow Mile so you should see it there :} Total Race posted a start up video with a walk-around. the 4WD system wasn't yet in place, not sure if they'll actually do that. the engine seemed to idle surprisingly smooth for a race car, maybe it's the MASSIVE displacement. i think it may be a Modular engine, not sure though.
this car went 230 in the mile running around 450+whp less than it is running now. that was also with a 6speed running a very tall final drive (230+accomplished in 4th)
Damn I wanted to hear it pull at the end !!!
You know your a volvo fan when your wondering what that wagon is packing while wayvhing this 😂
That's a pretty bold statement from a tuner. "We plan to street race it." With this kind of power you think they would be a little more responsible and stay on the track!
dude dont hate.....none of us were not geniuses with cars instinctually. He did say he was curious so he is asking a question not being a troll
TWO THOUSAND boys!
I'd love to see you guys put this thing out on the Salt Flats at Bonneville. With that kind of power, drag would not be the main enemy, gearing and tire parameters would be. Surely it could top 260+ theoretically. Of course aerodynamic drag going from 200 to 250 is exponentially higher than from 150 to 200 and backwards from there, but this thing should break that wide open.
thats amazing
different fuels cant mix together(race fuel and pump gas) so you use separate tanks. but you can interchange between the two :)
it was yanked after Jamie brake boosted in 2nd ripping off the tires, it got slightly sideways in 3rd like it always does on oily highways in somewhat cold weather, but the busa was long gone. and btw it was a 295whp busa (straight from the owner). still impressive though, but even 410 whp busa's are slightly behind TTG's with boost by gear as proven in the runs with Tim Iacolli vs Shamrock Racing.
Plz justdrive it around. I love that exhaust
LIKE A BOSS !!!
