This is one bad ass group of ZR1's and they are all manuals. These runs were from the Quick 30 race here in Houston, Texas.

Some 10yrs later and the blue devils are still some of the most brutal cars on the streets.

Not even close. They're cool cars, but these are fairly extensively modified and would basically be in the middle of the mid-tier cars. Plenty of 1,200-1,500whp C6s that were built before the 09 ZR1 even dropped.

I was a pro driver for Chrysler performance 50 years ago. I did 200.04mph in 6:98 in a Plymouth. But it wasn't street drivable and was a test car. My honorable discharge papers got me the best job. Wish i could shift one of these cars but at 74 i think i would only shift like normal. Mostly Winston cup and AAR. These are awesome cars.

I love both of them. They’re both two of my favorite cars ever made but I definitely agree that the C6 is the better of the two simply because it looks the best. I’d take a C6 ZR1 before id take a C7 ZR1 but I’d be happy with either one!

Manual transmission, 67mph first gear, and still runs low 9s with simple mods. Amazing
StrykerV8 define “simple mods” these zr1s are prettyy heavily modified. Only thing stock is the blower, and even that is modified(ported)
Eric Villarreal hows heads/cam heavily modded? They make around 800-900hp
MelvNez M lol headers? Think you mean heads buddy. Ill use the black one as an example. It has aftermarker heads(which is definitely not a simple mod) aftermarket cam(not a simple mod) ported blower/snout(not a simple mod). And then of course it has the bolt ons which is somewhat simple mods. But these cars would arent just equiped with “simple” mods.
Don’t forget it’s a LS9 also. Too bad they stop the production on these monster motors.
@Tstrawhair Boi They stopped making the LS3 and the LS9 in 13 and moved to the LT1 and later on the Lt4 series of motors. The LS3 had nothing to do with it.

I recently inherited my late brothers 2012 zr1. Supersonic blue with ebony interior. A few minor mods making almost 800 horsepower. These cars are incredible.

Paul Denino that’s good enough! I got my 2012 5.0 love to death and it’s a blessing having back seats but if I could afford a Z06, definitely would’ve bought one.
Can’t wait till both of my kids graduate from college...then I can afford a new ZR1. For the meantime, I’m stuck with my C6Z06.

The C6 ZR1 is my next car… I have the Grand sport right now and LOVE it. But the zr1 is my goal. Then I plan on building it and make it a 9 sec. RELIABLE street car

Holy tamales. I have an 09 base coupe automatic 4LT 6.2 that i bought used in 2013. I drove it for 2 weeks and ordered a procharger for it. Mine is not turned up, only 4 psi boost running mid 11's at 118 mph. After seeing this video I'm ordering a smaller pulley looking for 6 psi boost. These ZR1's convinced me that mine has room to go faster. I have $45,000 in mine which is 1/2 of one of these. I don't expect these kind of numbers but my god Corvette's are the American Dream in spades. Never wanted to be #1 just wanted my piece of the pie. With the C8 on the horizon only you imagination can hold you back. A great time to be alive.

I had a crystal red metallic 2011 sold it two years ago and it was a beast.

That blue ZR1 had a litter stall a couple of seconds off the line. That black ZR1 is a beast. Off the line must feel like a 12ga recoil against your whole body
