High sleeper dude and family, I have to say the real treasure in this video is you spending time with your dad getting the old gal up and running again what a sweet car a 66 2-door wow. I can remember when I was about 14 years old driving one of the first Mazda pickup trucks with my dad on the passenger side we were at the horse ranch and he said I'm just too tired to drive home go ahead son nobody will bother you you're a big kid and you really look old enough to be driving. He would only do this if he was on the passenger side and I think it was his way of giving me some time behind the wheel an actual road conditions with other drivers. But he wouldn't tell me that he would just say he was tired hell I don't know maybe he was he always worked hard and he was quite old by the time I was 14 he was 74 and still kicking it he lived till he was 98 years Young and I wished he would have made a hundred can you believe the things that he had seen in his lifetime. I am so glad that you still have your father around I still see my father in my dreams every once in awhile and him shaking his finger at me correcting me when I was wrong. If I would have listened to all the stuff that my dad tried to teach me I probably wouldn't went down the road that I did although I wouldn't change a thing! Many blessings to you and your entire family as always your friend Joe
Thank you .
Most of us boys have memories of our dads letting us do a little driving. Once at the top of the road, my dad would let me sit on his lap and drive his 64 Chrysler New Yorker. I was quite young but still remember like it was yesterday. Ralphy’s lucky you got a big yard he can drive in!
Need to see more of DAD, and more of his cars in the near future. Your Dad is funny.
Ok thanks
You gyes, are a treasure. Thank you for being part of U Tube. I am retired Airplane Areo Repair/Crash Recovery and cannot do mechanical anymore. Now your videos help me to enjoy... just keep it up! 😊
Awesome! 3 generations working on that Chevy. True family history. Love it
Yes for sure thank you
Keep your dad in the videos! That guy is great!
Ok thanks
The Apple don’t fall from the tree! Your dad has about as many cars sitting around as you do.. Awesome seeing you and dad working on the cars together…..just great! Hope to see this in 20 more years 👍
Thank you
Awesome video Josh, your dad is a hoot. I loved the prayer before he started the car. Neat that the air freshener that your wife/girlfriend gave you was still in the car.
Yes
Heck yeah I wanna see some 'o' your Dad's other vehicles, 'specially that truck you were pointing out!
Yeah for sure
Loved the story of this car, and the memories. That's really what it's all about. Your Dad must be proud of what you've done with your car knowledge and your vlog venture, with more to come!
Thank you
17:27, best part of the video. God bless you guys, love the content you guys make!
Thank you
AWESOME TO HEAR your dad praying over the BEL AIR restart JESUS IS THE REASON FOR EVERY THING
That’s right
Yep, Josh has a neat Dad, for shirley.
Hearing Ralphie actually through out real trouble shooting information, and have such a strong understanding it truly awesome. He has as much or more knowledge than I did at 19 after working on my pos cars. Plus helping others with theirs.
He does pretty good
yeah he’s a super smart kid, but so are all of them! I wish my dad was like josh growing up! My dad didn’t teach me shit except how to shoot and load a gun.
QQ qe
I’m 22 learning from Ralphie. Impressive kid
@@mromatic17 Heck, much better than my Dad taught me. My dad's only advice was when he gave me the basic birds and bees talk-He said "Johnny, don' get 'em in trouble." That subject was never brought up again.
That's a good looking ol BelAir! Love the MC SS sitting there too! Would like to see a will it run and clean up on that Monte too! I have an 85 SS I call the Satin Sled! 468 BBC. Partial to Montes!
Maybe so

YES!!!! DAD'S GOT THE BIG BRASS ONES AND PRAYS LIKE A MAN!!! AWESOME!!!
Yes he does
Great video. You all are so lucky to have some land to store all those cars etc without government intrusion. Great job. Thanks for the videos.
Thank you
My dad had a 68 when I was growing up, my first car was a 69 Impala. Love those cars. Really like yours. Great video ya'll.
Thank you
Great video, Sleeper! I have a 1965 SS Convertible with a 327. Fond memories of the 1966 Belair as it was the year I graduated from high school. I purchased a 1953 Chevy 6 cylinder from a high school teacher, and it burned 2-3 quarts of oil a week. It had a great sounding am radio. Good luck on your new venture!
Yep been there as well
I wish More people were like you guys.
America loves you Guys.
Thank you
20:04 Now mom's got the jokes! Love the video Sleeperdude's and Sleeperdudett's!
Oh she’s full of them
I would definitely like to see you get some more of your Dad's cars running. I saw several cool old cars and trucks in the background
Yes for sure
Thanks! Josh and family of a whole bunch., to date, as I watch ever one of these... a huge thank you.
That is exactly the car I could buy for my wife, just before they shipped me to Vietnam. While I was gone, my brother in law put a 283 in the car for her so she could go faster longer. I was in washington state (my wife) and of course uncle sam sent me on a great great trip across the world. Her brother who put that bigger engine in the car lived in Lincoln Kansas. I don't think I spelled that town name right but sounded like a president name cept different. He made it into a tail dragger and I just wanted it to stay safe... for a girl, not so much as she would spin out and that car would rip on its undersides. After three years of me gone... she done as much damage as one could expect... we were both just twenty when I got home to her and a baby boy... accidents happen (she told me while I was over there) and I just wanted her safe.. I never messed around an guys laughed at me for not "getting any"... One fellow was so damn brave and also a corporal so he went so far as to do something much nastier... that little accident to his face and my fist sent him home with a dishonorable discharge. I lost my only stripe but I didn't really care... my Sergeant that we all hung with .... said just hang a bit.. sure enough he got me some fancy crap to hang on my "blouse" (army name for a shirt) and a week later a medal of accommodation which got me a significant pay grade raise... they don't pay much for the guys who are just target practice material. This is getting too far from the car... I got home to a car that had canvas water bags hanging off of the grill that was banged up an thought about just send it to the crusher but I headed home to washington to my house figuring no one would be there... and thats where the wife, a year old boy, and her car was. It didn't take long for me to fall in love with that boy and he took to me as well, he would go as fast as his little knees would take him to me. I bought me a new mercury cyclone with the 390 and four speed, .... you know, all the good stuff. I finally flipped a quarter heads it goes to the crusher or tails I build it back.... I flipped that quarter three times an it kept coming up tails so I built it back to a new six cylinder with three on the tree an this time a overdrive. Ever piece under it was fixed or replaced.... I got the body redone myself... whistle straight. new interior... baby blue outside an the top was white with a all white leather interior including headliner that was diamond tuck. After that car was as close to new looking... even the glass was a light blue tint, I did etch the glass an put a eagle in the back window. (I was a fair artist) I got tired of coming home from work to a cold meal if anything was there and she would be gone... she thought I was a freak... just six foot tall, two forty, a size thirty two waistline so I wasn't fat, just big... I had to wear those wife beater tees as the back kept ripping out. I agreed to her demands, but asked for a time each year with my boy. Thats when she had to show me my sons birth certificate... his last name was her maiden name on it so the judge said no. I never seen nor heard from them till my son came to see me when he was nineteen. He was loyal to his mom... who he showed me a picture of... seems like her fork got the best of her. That and her fourth husband was a drunk. My biggest surprise was he was driving that old car! I do have a couple more stories on it but its a short comment section... you got cars to build an don't need me taking up your time
That is an incredible story thank you for sharing it with me. I’m sorry you didn’t get to see your son for a long time. I really appreciate your generosity.
Hi from the UK we love you’re videos especially when you include your family and animals - I personally like the fact you don’t hide when you dont know or get something wrong - you’ve inspired me to start my own channel ( but I won’t be making any money from it) cheers guys 👍
You Will if You really devote your talents to It !
That’s awesome
Ted's shed. You've just gained a sub from a fellow Brit. Will have a watch later👍
GROOVY! Love your Dad. He's a cool dude. Thanks to you and your "Pit Crew" for all you do. Thanks to your Dad for letting you share some of his collection. I'd like to see you get that Cadilac running (in the back ground while you were working on the Chevy.)❤🇺🇸🐘
Thank you
Great video, as always. Yes! Would like to see you get dad's cars running.
Ok thanks
It’s a good day when 3 generations can wrench on the same car at the same time. Good times. You are a blessed man.
Great video. This reminded me of my late Grandpa. He had a 66 Chevrolet Caprice, 2 door, 327 auto. Loaded with AC, power windows, console with floor shift. That car was his pride and joy.
That’s awesome
I really enjoy watching this family content. My first car to work on was 1956 Pontiac Chief. The first car I drove was at 14 years old in 1969. It was a 1965 corvair 4 or 5 speed manual. Great car. Lots of power and 30mpg.
Glad you enjoyed it
Might as well get more of your dad's cars going. Keep up the great family content
Yeah for sure
That's great you got your dad's car running! I would like to see more of that. I miss my dad you got to spend time with them while their here
Yes for sure thank you
That 66 body looked like it was in pretty good shape. That’s odd for that year. Great video. Yeah I love watching you getting the autos fired up. Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for watching
There’s so much win in this video. Got us some prayer, three generations of Sleeperdudes in a revival, and brakes in a Chevy. I dunno about that interior tho, it’s awful nice. What’s Rocky gonna chew on?
Yeah for sure thank you
Oh wow a straight 6 Belair them have gotten hard to find now very cool. Keep this a 6 and 3 on the tree 👍
Thank you
'66 two door with hot wheels and a straight six. Reminds me of that old Beach Boys song "No go Showboat". Fun content. Cool car. And lightening! Who could ask for more? Nice to see Sleeperdad join in the fun! Please give us a walk around his yard to see what else needs to be brought back.
Ok thank you
Nice to see y’all Josh & family. Had a couple of Crown Vics Police Interceptors. Unforgettable memories of our ‘66 Impala in Kansas in the 1960s & 1970s.
Yes thank you
That is a beautiful car and such a great day with your dad! Thanks for sharing your memories with us 😊 🙏 ❤️
this tugged at a guys heart strings a little different than most... it being your drivers test car... seeing you and dad and ralphie .... 3 generations working on a special car... priceless.. as a feller with no family to a feller with a really precious family.. thank you for sharing such special moments with us..
Thank you for watching
Great video guys. Solve the fuel delivery issue and this car would be a great old car with nice patina and hoops and casings. Might want to put some spring assisted shocks absorbers on it to lift it a bit. Get that Monte Carlo SS we saw in the background running.
Ok yeah good info thank you
Hey Josh great video, Enjoyed seeing Dad working along side you getting the old girl running.Happy to see Puddin,Rocky and Vienna making the show alot of fun. Helping your father getting some of his cars running would be fun to see, just make sure Rocky and Ralphie approve.
Yes for sure thank you
You just can't beat your videos...and your family!Keep on keeping on.
Thank you
Love the stories & memories. I for one would love to see more of your dad's collection. Looks like he's not one to get rid of any though.
Nope he keeps them all
I love this! My first car was a 69 Bel Air. My dad bought it from his grandparents in 84 when I was 14. It had 29K miles on it and was a tank. Sure wish I still had that car. Thanks for a great video!
Nice to see your Dad in another video :o) Matey, I would sooooo love to have that Bel Air! I mostly restore old English cars as I said, or 70s and 80s Japanese cars. my mother and father in law both worked for Datsun and Mitsubishi, so I know them like you know your slant sixes!
Thank you
We love watching you guys! You make us forget the craziness in this world for a while. God bless you all! 🥰🙏
Hi this is Wally from down under. Love how you got the Chevy going. I have found if the fule pump is wet /gas in it they will pick up the gas straight away the valves will seal with gas .Being a fiery it is a little bit unsettling watching the boat fule tank lying on top of the spark plugs and dizzy cap. You have the 3 sides of the fire triangle
Yeah I guess that true
Just a precious family. This is the greatest thing for the kids. Great memories. Bless you all. 😇😇😇😇😇
Thank you
Great job on the Belair, it really sounded great. A really nice looking body and the interior is fantastic as well. You have beautiful family Josh, you are truly blessed.
Thank you
I love seeing the "whole family" evolved. It always seemed my dad had more time and patience with my friends than he had with me. It was like I was suppose to already know what to do. We had an OK relationship which after I was older improved greatly. I promised I wouldn't make that mistake with my children and I didn't. The summer my son turned 15 and we took on the project to rebuild a car for him took a great relationship and turned it into an outstanding relationship. Thank you for your videos. OH, I am more of a GM & Chrysler fan. I would love to see you work on some of the older GM say something 50 to 57 - a Buick or Olds would be wonderful.
Ok thank you
Thanks Josh for another great video. It was cool seeing three generations working on that car. Maybe do a video showing all your Dad’s cars.
Yeah maybe so
Such a joy to see you guys & gals interacting. I could go on with a million words. Then I realized why your family is so successful. Real families stick together and your viewers see this. ! Stay healthy & Happy .

Thank you I am definitely blessed
Love YOUR style. FAMILY! That's all it counts! I wish EVERY 30+ would be like you. We would have a great Country.
Wow thank you
Keep it coming Josh love it

Awesome. Thank you for taking the time to upload these videos for us all out here. God Bless You All 🙏 🙌 ❤️.

That's a memory right there 🚗

@@Sleeperdude I didn't have anything like that with my Grandad and dad but you do it everyday 👍
Now you have time to save them all. The memories in those cars is invaluable.

It was really great to see three generations of family working together. Love those in line 6 cylinder videos. These are really great engines from all american car companies. Bill
Thank you
What a great family! Your adventures with cars and family would make an awesome reality show!
Thank you
Nice to see three generations of Sleeperdudes inside the Bel Air to celebrate its revival. I would enjoy to see the back brakes and fuel transmission issues solved, plus it having a new body paint, this car is a piece of automotive History after all ^^
I think it's awesome to see a family pray together. 👍
The j you
AWESOME episode! Love how your family spends time together! Help you Dad when ever y'all can!
Two door Bel Air with a smooth 6 is coool!
Thank you
Over at "Isaac it'll be fine" , he has a 68 Biscayne he took to power tour. Valve stem seals should clear that smoke right up.
My friend had a white with green top 4 door 66 Biscayne also when we were teens. It was an automatic and didnt like it very much when i tried to put it into neutral and it went into reverse going 45 ! lol Just let out a groan until i popped it back into drive.
Ok cool
bet that brings back a lot of memories, kinda cool working on your first car especially with your dad. three generations working on the same car.
Yeah for sure
Awesome watching kids working with their dad and their grandpa.
Yes for sure
Man, that 66 has some potential! Maybe help Dad out, get everything sorted and take it on the next Hotrod Power Tour.
Yeah that would be cool .
I Love your videos so much, keep up the good work
Thank you
@@Sleeperdude nice cars
Talking about taking about the car you took your driving test in made me think of mine. My mom and I took our tests the same day in a brand new 1960 Ford Falcon ! Wish I had that now👍😄🎩
That’s cool
My first car was a 1963 Chevy II Nova. Found in a junk yard. In-line 6 block was in the truck. Three speed standard column shift. Spent one summer school break rebuilding the the engine, with my dad’s and others help. Great experience for me. I learned a lot and it gave me a deeper appreciation for the car. Drove it all through my high school years.
Really cool working with your dad on a car that you had memory's with, you've got to enjoy those moments
Thank you
that 1 was too easy! and as a gm guy, id like to see what else your dads hidin over there. great work as usual!
Thank you
13 years old rockin the monte sitting on the phone book LOL... take me back to the good old days.
Yes!!!
Man, I love those old 60's cars! That's what I grew up with. If I lived next door to you, I'd be over there helping you work on them, sipping on an RC and eatin' a couple of those vi-an-yas!
Yeah we love them to. Thanks for watching
As usual, another awesome video! This video hits home for me. My first car was a 66 Chevy Impala with swapped 327 Vette motor automatic two-speed powerglide. Had a lot of fun in that old car. Back in the late 70s into the early 80s she was all jacked up on air shocks and 50s on the rear 60s on the front aluminum slots. She was close to the blue on your dad's car, white vinyl top an white interior. Always enjoy your videos! Keep up the great work, I always keeps me coming back! Love the channel Sleeperdude! I even watch your other channel Sleeperdude2! Keep on Motoring brother!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you glad you enjoyed it
Hi Sleeperdude we love your videos here in New Zealand. Awesome seeing you and the family working with your dad and getting that Bel Air running. Its Winter here right now. Cold. Lookin forward to the next vid.
Thank you
I'm 76... choking up at your relationship with your Dad. I can only "dream" about that kind of relationship with mine. He was a mean alcoholic who died of alcohol abuse at 53 (and never owned a car). NICE TO WATCH... Thanks.
What a fun old car with a great story. That was originally a vinyl top car, that trim on the rear pillar is not on the plain top cars.
This was a fun video to watch. That old Bel Air is a sweet car with great interior. Yes I would like to see more of u and your dad working on his cars. Especially that white Monte Carlo!!!
Hopefully
Now that you're retired, we may need daily uploads. May as well just strap a Go Pro to your flip flops. Thanks for the entertainment, I look forward to y'all's videos.
Yeah for sure
Yep daily videos absolutely necessary I agree👍🇺🇸👌
Tendría que haber otros temas de videos, no solamente limpiar y arrancar autos muy viejos. Puede ser colocar turbos o suspensiones neumáticas, chapa y pintura, etc.
@@Sleeperdude next project... getting your dad's car running!!!....I'm thinking Texas Speed sponsor ...
Power tour.....
Your dad's Dodge truck! 🤠
My first car was a 1966 Impala SS Coupe 327 275hp. I purchased this car in July of 1968 after I returned from Vietnam . I wished I still owned this car.
My dad has a 65 ss 396
My very first car was a ‘66 Buick Special my Grandpa gave me. It had a 310 Wildcat and a power glide. Fond memories of working on it with my Grandpa and Dad. Treasure the time you get to spend with your Grandpa and Dad. The memories you’re making with your family are the most valuable gift you have. God bless. 😊
I took my driving test in the '65 4 door cousin of this car (Danube Blue, really dark). Also wrecked that one. You may be giving just enough "boost" for the fuel pump by having the boat tank above the pump and near the carb level.
I'd love to see the '63 Chevy II get back together - I had a 4 dr '64 when I started college. That miniscule 6 cyl, 1bbl, 3-on-the-tree power nothing was fun.
Thanks for the content.
Thank you
I absolutely love this car. I'd drive this every day and leave the inline 6 in there forever.
Yeah for sure
In 2001 I drove from Terrell, TX to Nashville, TN to look at a 48,000 original mile 66 Biscayne 4 door. This car was CLEAN but the only options were a heater and a Powerglide tranny, We couldn't get it to idle but I bought anyway. That 250 inline six ran like a top but when you took your foot off the foot feed it would die. Every time I took an exit to get gas I had my left foot on the brake pedal and my right foot on the gas. Drove her all the way back to Texas and then discovered it had the wrong carburetor on it! What a great old car!! This video brought back a lot of old memories. Thanks so much!
Great video! Really enjoyed seeing your dad. Hope you get a chance to do more videos with him.
I found one of the carbs from my 2 4 door 70 Chevelle's from 30 something years ago I do not still have either car and rebuilt the carb I found your carb tutorials have shown me how important it is to keep the carbs clean for rebuilds thanks Josh for your tips!
Glad you have enjoyed it
Cool car, I would love to see more progress on that Chevy or one of Dad’s other rides, it was funny when the hood flew up, both realizing, no hood latch, thanks.
Thank you
Wow, this brings back good memories for me. My very first car that I bought was a 1966 belair with a 3spd. On the tree. I really enjoyed that car and wished I had kept it.😁😁👍👍
For whatever reason when I clean spark plugs I always clean the entire ground strap area with a wire wheel (or a wire brush like you did), clean the electrode and ground strap with a piece of sand paper, and I always spray the ground strap/electrode area with brake clean to flush out the end of the plug...then I light the end on fire to burn off any remaining carbon. I have been working on and rebuilding cars since I was 16 (so 23 years now) and I've owned 68 cars since I was 14, not to mention that I was an ASE certified mechanic at one point, but I always learn new things every day. I still build cars (mostly imports).
That’s awesome good info thanks
Great Video. reminds me back in the day my grandmother had a new 66 maroon Impala 327 4-barrel carb. that she just crawled to the store and church with. So, I'd be asked to drive it and blow it out. Was fun seeing all that black carbon coming out the tailpipe. Her new 61 Impala got totaled brand new when she put the petal to the metal by mistake for the brake and I went thru the windshield at age 8. She should have had this engine. Ha. (Our family had Chevy garage from 1946 to 1986) anyway.....
That’s awesome
Love this CHANNEL always great time 😁😁💟
Thank you
💟💟💟😁
I took my driver test in a 65 Impala 4 door sedan, 327 powerglide. My first car was a 62 Chevy 2 with the 194 straight 6 and a 3 on the tree. I worked at the Chevy 6 cylinder engine plant in 68 and 69 as a high school co-op student. I knew the 230, 250, and 292 pretty well.
That’s cool we were working on the same type of cars
Your Daddy is as honest as the day is long. He is a straight arrow. He is a Rock.
I hope my new project will start after sitting for 30 years! Truly enjoy your will it start videos

love this show, and yes, please do get some, if not all of your Dad`s car`s and truck`s running for, your Dad is so cool Josh. and he did the right thing, and said a Prayer before working on the car.
I will see what I can do
Look at Ralphie... LIKE A SPONGE! GREAT!
Are you gonna get that nova back on the road? Loved this vid.Dads having fun I think.
Yeah he really enjoyed it
You seem to work on cars that were part of my childhood. I remember 5 of us kids getting jammed in the back seat of my uncles going to the lake in the summer. His was a 65 though. That one needs to be restored.
Yes for sure
