One of my favourite bands of the late 90s early 2000s. After their guitarist left they went down a more experimental route replacing rock guitar with synthesized strings. A Spoonful Weighs A Ton is a must off this album, also Waitin For A Superman.
I see Kurt on your wall that’s cool I guess but I think Wayne was the most out there, creative, influential, down to earth and prolific frontmen of the 90s and 00s.
Lots of great tracks on this album (Waiting for Superman, Spider Bite Song), though my favorite Lips record is the one that came before this one, 'Clouds Taste Metallic'. i think you'd also really like the band Mercury Rev, who are kinda related to the Lips.
Would love to see you react to the subhumans "work-rest-play-die" or zounds "cant cheat karma" and broaden the anaracho-punk bands in your playlist past crass :)
Those who don’t know better claim this might be the best opening you’ll get in a pop song this side of Be My Baby, Personality Crisis or Teenage Kicks and they’d be kinda right on. Not me though.

Man, I love the drums and woozy strings on this so much. I cant help but whack it up to full volume whenever i hear it.
This album is full of great songs.
