Also, unless you breed higher production trees you won't get enough apple juice to process your saplings. The mulch you get from squeezing apples is great for making bog earth for that peat farm, btw.
the mod, tinker's construct, allows you to place the last block you placed, while you have a tinker's construct tool in your hand simply by right clicking, so you can do things like, place some cobble, then go to your pick, and now every time you right click, you place cobble down too :D its pretty cool imo
In a sense, they are "enchantable", but not in an enchantment table. You can place modifiers on them with certain items. For example, redstone gives an effect similar to efficiency, and lapis gives a modifier that can give you fortune.
I love what Dire does already, but I would really love to see just an episode of mining when many people are on chillin and talking about stuff.
I knew you because you're really famouse but I never watched you because you play a different modpack. But a few days ago I was reeaaaally boooring because many youtubers are stopping to play FTB, so I watched an episode of yours, and I can't stop watching you, you are sooo fun, and I thought I wasn't going to learn anything because of the modpack differences. Dude, you don't skip any mod, you seem like you already know anything, and you make everything look so simple. You rock Dire
His tutorial-style is highly appealing. I don't even use FTB and I still watch Direwolf to learn a thing or two.
Right-click. It is from tinkers construct and it works even with blocks (cobble, etc...). It uses the block near the tool in the hotbar.
Dire! If you didnt know: You can Shift:click the sides on the config for the Thermal expansion machines to clear that side, or click the center to clear all the sides
Skelington on a Spider. Best Start to an Episode Ever! Cheers from Portugal!
You will probably not see this.. but a ton of waste is happening with using the raw oak wood in the steam engine. If you craft it into wooden planks (autocrafting or other) then the planks will run the engine longer than if it were just raw wood.
Cheers Dire! You're awesome though!
It isn't a modifier. It is a feature of Tinker's construct, in which it can place any block/item to the right of the tool in the hotbar.
I think it's an add-on to his pickaxe, which is from Tinkers Construct( which I can't wait to get my hands on). If you look he is holding the pick when placing torches. I know Xeno's Reliquary adds a torch placer called the Sojourner's Staff which does the same thing
Dire, I'd set up a sawmill to also run off of the steam engine so that the wood gets efficiently processed and the sawdust can be turned into charcoal for more efficient powering once a large enough supply has built up.
What Dakota means is with NEI if he shift left clicks the question mark of an item he has brought up (with R to view the crafting recipe) it automatically places the items from his inventory (if he has everything needed) into the correct slots to make the item.
Dire,if you shift-click the spots on the configuration tab for the machines, they will instantly turn to blank spots. It makes it less time-consuming :)
Epic ending of episode in line with Minecraft background music!
It is in the latest version of Tinkers' Construct. The author added several right-click functions to the tools, including placing torches and some types of blocks with a pick.
When using a Tinkers Pick (Only one I'm sure which does it) If you right click if you have torches in the adjacent slot, it will automatically place them where you want them.
Tinkers construct lets you place the torches using your pick
More than just the pickaxe, it would seem. Any tool from Tinkers Construct that lacks a right-click function can place torches so long as the torches are directly to the right of it on the hotbar, with the exception being a tool in the first slot, for which the torches must be in the last slot.
It's a feature of TConstruct. If you have an item you can place, to the right of your tool, it will place it with a right-click.
my 3 favourite ppl
1: Dire
2:Flora
3:The Scottish Person
it's Tinker's Construct, when you right click with the pick it places a torch.
P-Body is the name of one of the robots for the Co-op mode in Portal 2. You'll notice both of his portals are red-ish. Atlus is the other one and his are both blues.
Its not a public modpack, its a custom beta pack that the modders and testers are using to test for bugs and implement new ideas in a somewhat stable environment. Its invite only, everyone on the server are either friends, or mod developers.
with the colored ME cable, you have to place the block that you want to connect to it by placing it on the cable itself.
Some Tinkers' Construct tools allow you to place the block to the right of them on the hotbar, if I understood what I observed when digging out a redwood.
Only Direwolf would call spider jockeys "skeleton-spider combos".
If there are torches to the right of a tinkers construct pickaxe you can right click with the pick in hand and place torches.
NO the one that grows taller than the clouds and takes 7x7 saplings is Redwood, the trees near his house are Acadia trees. :D
one tip on the whole getting stuck in the floor after going through a portal, if you have both ends one block up then jump up into the portal you wont have problems with it
And other thing is not using redstone energy conduits in between the engine and the farm, so the engine will keep overheating since the farm is not using all the power from it.
No, it's a TConstruct pickaxe. If you rightclick with a TConstruct pick, you'll place a torch
Yes, the TConstruct Tools allow you to place the block next to them when right clicked.
use a minium stone to turn the sand back into dirt with a fabricator, then an emerald pipe to make sure it only withdraws dirt from the fabricator
Dungeons are packed with Portal Guns. I had a random seed in the dw20 pack where I found two bacon guns and a P-Body gun between two dungeons, both within 600 blocks of spawn and two of them were in the same chest.
I love Jaded's sense of humour!
It's tinkerers construct. It places anything from the slot to the left or the right i think.
"Reminds me of home" aww Scotland, how I miss ye.
Turn the wood into charcoal ! It's only one more step and it is 4x more efficient ! Pump the wood in a powered furnace. You can power it with the steam engine itself. Easy...
the mod tinkers construct allows you to put down torches while having a pick from that mod selected.
Direwolf doesn't even know the name of a spider jockey...
Just imagine the amazing things he could do with mods if he actually learned something about vanilla minecraft.
I don't know if it is a but or not but with Tinker's Construct tools you can place the block the right of your tool on your hotbar. It works with any blocks including torches
You should move the pipes down three blocks so it goes straight into the chest but keep the diamond and make the white go into a auto crafting table or sawmill so u get 4 wooden planks for 1.5 instead of 1 wood for 1.5 so its more efficient.
Tinker's Construct pickaxe has a right click functionality. It places the item that is in your right-most slot.
It's a Tinker's Construct pick, they can place torches
Tinker's construct pickaxes can be used to place torches without actually having torches selected.
P-body is one of the robots in co-op mode in Portal 2, the other robot is Atlas
Dire should add something to turn his logs into planks to feed into the steam engine, that would increase his power output by 4 times. He could use an auto crafting table(Buildcraft), sawmill, or the new cyclic assembler (Thermal Expansion).
It lets you place any block that's on adjacent slots, not just torches.
If you right-click with a Tinkers Construct pick and you have torches in your inventory, it places a torch.
If you have any block type of item next to a tinkers construct item, you can right click and place it.
My three favorite minecraft people
1.antvenom
2.direwolf20
3.rorax
All the other youtubers "OH MEH GAWD A SPIDER JOCKEY!!!!!!" Dire: die spider skeleton combo"
the "in the floor" portal thing has to do with distance.
if the portal is clear its not an issue, when the portal appears "closed" you are going farther than the client has loaded, and thus it has to load on TP. this is where the issue is. i dont think there is much that can be done to fix this aside from having the client keep the chunk belonging to a portal loaded and rendered. easy solution is keep the portal elevated 1 block from ground.
Saw some Jaded hate in the comments, which was a bit surprising because she was tame in this episode. I used to watch her streams every so often, until on more than one occasion she would argue something with someone else, usually a Minecraft mechanic but not always, and have no idea what she was talking about. The final straw for me was her raging about the Steve's Carts nerf making it a "totally useless mod", without bothering to check the wiki to see that she was wrong on how it worked.
If you right click with a Tinker's Construct pick it will place the block or item to the right of it
Tinkerer's Construct adds that capability to the game.
So jealous of the working computers they have. Wish mine ran that fast...
It's a feature from Tinkers Construct Right Click with your Pick places the thing in the slot on the right.
It's a hand wave; the slash is the hand or arm and the "o" is the head. Looks like this: o/ It's a greeting, to let someone know you're there. At least, that's what I think it is, correct me if I'm totally off.
Livin the dream. Now you need a peat farm for ash to make the fertilizer instead of sand.
silly jaded, that's why we have vajra, works the same way on right-click or a turtle for that matter.
its the pickaxe. it places the block you have in the inventory slot next to it when you right click
he's not using his own pack for Multiplayer. it's all the mods he may end up adding to the DW20 pack, but atm he's playing the most up-to-date- mods
"Hmm this looks interesting, lets put a quarry above it!"
right clicking with a tinker's construct pick places the item in the next slot to the right, where his torches are
Tinkers construct is so awesome. I didn't know you can get a mod to place torches
Yes indeed, Thank you!
It's from NEI. He's shift clicking it, but you can't see.
put the wood through a powered furnace then the charcoal into the engines. the engines can also power the powered furnace!
He's probably using the control pack, which allows you to place torches, if you have any, with the default key of V.
its the tinker cons pick any placable item put on the right side off it will be placed from a right click of the mouse
I love how you don't use bad wards other people use terrible wards :)
Tinker's COnstruct. I think it is in for fast torch placing in caves ^^
redstone energy cells keep the stored energy if picked up with a wrench :)
Dire, P-Body is one of the robots in Portal 2 Co-op, and that's his portal gun.
burning logs is inefficient, burn planks instead. or burn charcoal created with like an powered furnace. it could then output directly into the engine.
Lux Capacitor, is like a torch that you shoot with the Power Gauntlet.
Famous last words of direwolf20, i want the electricity next to the water
It isn't actually DireWolf 20 pack, it has a lot of the same mods but they are the beta versions and if you remember from ane episode or two ago the person( I forget who) asked about updating mods, so it isn't the DireWolf pack, it just has a lot of the same mods.
If there's one thing Scots love it's hearing a native accent :D
Its Thinker construct. When you hold tool and right click it place torch from hotbar=)
Just for more clarification of the P-Body's portal gun, P-Body is one of the multiplayer characters in Portal 2
There is a item you can put on a tool that allows you to use the item direct right or directly left of the tool, i cant remember what it is though, or if its an item or not, i just know theres something that exists that does that
I got over 4 stacks of apatite from a single vein of it. That was with a regular diamond pick with no enchants.
Right-Click with an Tool from Tinkerers-Construct then you place the item next to it. It might be a bug but it's usefull when caving
P-body is an android created as a replacement for you when you´re 'relesed', although, an android is incapable of activating the 'price' at the end of all test rooms, XP
He knows that. You don't need to explain things to him. He already knows.
I like Jaded's voice. Reminds me of the babysitter in The Incredibles.
P-Body is a guy in Portal 2 which is a game in the Portal series which everyone should be forced to play.
It's NEI, it automatically puts the blocks from his inventory into the crafting table
Dire, you should totally use some bio generators too for IC2 power!
Nice..By the way, try every sapling in the farms. Extrabiome's saplings work.
If you still don't know it's a feature of Tinker's Construct.Unique only to pickaxes.
What I miss from Xycraft is that claw Soaryn showed off in Season 3. It was super cool.
it is found as rarely as diamond, but it are huge veins :)
arashidragon's problem was that me black cable must have a redstone singal of some kind to work it acts like a power switch from Buildcraft (or IC2 i don't remember)
Remember this is for testing mods as well. he was probably testing something & didn't have enough cable to it at that moment
from what I have found is when holding a TC pick right clicking places the item in your last hot bar slot
