Hi, time traveler here. In the year 2025, the situation in Nigeria is still complex, with multiple important interlocking factors at play including the actions of both the people as a whole and in groups such as the government. This is an important message as well for today's youth because there is a way to fix this problem: by taking the steps required to fix it. Surely, with my aid, you can do that thing. The people of Nigeria or perhaps the people living in the region formerly known as Nigeria thank you for your collective and inspiration efforts on the solution to the problem that may be occuring.
I have to say that I disagree. You have to take into consideration the fact that time equals distance divided by speed, and Nigeria is a long way away. And when you realize that in Nigeria every 60 seconds a minute passes, the outlook becomes far more complex, even grim. We have to get together to stop this!

0:32 i felt that silence in my soul. its the same silence when a teacher asks a bunch of half-asleep teens about a literary device in a book they didn't read over the summer
and the first person to speak is the one who couldn''t stand the awkward silence but shares a very vague opinion because obviously, he/her also never read over the summer.
As the teacher, I felt this in my soul, too. It's the moment I realize that the whole lesson plan has gone to waste and we're already a day behind curriculum from day-1.
I like the old guy gesturing to make the other guy go first lol
Sometimes I think about these glorious skits from more than 15 years! ago and mourn the loss of this absolutely brilliant satire. In the Know, Newsroom, Today Now, Onion Sports Network... just so many well-acted, well-cast, and excellently written sketches with sometimes almost prophetic commentary. I wish these shows had the financial support they deserved. I don't know what it would take to bring back this kind of content, but I hope we can see it again someday. Considering how Dropout is doing, I think people would be willing to pay for high quality comedy.
yeah, me too. I like watching these old skits, but unsubbed the channel because all the new videos are trash.
That said, their shortform content that they've been uploading for the last few months have been better than the podcast crap they uploaded 2 or 3 years ago.
fun fact: this video is so old that Umaru Yar'Adua has been dead for OVER ten years lol
But the satire is timeless.
yeah, I remember that year. Elementary school, Primary 4. The fact that we had the school day off on a Wednesday even made it more memorable.
That’s, uh, exactly what I was just going to say. I agree completely.
Olusegun Obasanjo

And here I am thinking those were fake names 😆😆

With the recent coup, now more then ever, the insights this panel offered are priceless.
Well yes, I agree, we have to support the chickens. Both the ones in, and, out of the coup.
Yes the recent coup that happened! We really must do all for that cause that is possible to do for the people on the right side of that conflict...

So...did Yar'Adua have the necessary political skills to implement the plans already put into place by Babangida? Did he follow in the footsteps of Obasanjo or Babangida?

Certainly there’s a lot of factors in play here, and I don’t think you’ve addressed all of them.
The second one
A smart man once said: "It doesn't matter if what you say is right or wrong, what matters is whether you can convince other people that it is right."
That sounds like a description of the game "two of these people are lying " by Tom Scott
this is a slight misquote of a Thank You For Smoking
I'm not convinced that's true
Sir Donald 'king of ventilators' Trump agrees.
As you see, the man convinced you he was smart. Or clever. Actually I disagree with your (my?) statement.
Subtle joke I never caught: He says the population is 14 million, which is most definitely Niger and not Nigeria - which is about 10x more populous. He never actually admits his mistake out loud after the other guy brings up Niger vs Nigeria, he just looks concerned at his phone.
Absolutely brilliant! The old man killed it.

This feels like a group presentation assignment in school, due to the things said in the video. The atmosphere was certainly there, and I feel like we cannot overlook the fact that the people involved were a group of people. We must not forget what's really important about PowerPoint presentations, which is of course that PowerPoint is a part of the Microsoft suite and its logo is orange - not to be confused with the green logo of the Onion.
“You’re saying it’s more in line with Babantida, right?”
“...Ok”
Hi, time traveler here. In the year 2025, the situation in Nigeria is still complex, with multiple important interlocking factors at play including the actions of both the people as a whole and in groups such as the government. This is an important message as well for today's youth because there is a way to fix this problem: by taking the steps required to fix it. Surely, with my aid, you can do that thing. The people of Nigeria or perhaps the people living in the region formerly known as Nigeria thank you for your collective and inspiration efforts on the solution to the problem that may be occuring.
i understand where you're coming from but what makes the situation complex is because of the factors involved

I have to say that I disagree. You have to take into consideration the fact that time equals distance divided by speed, and Nigeria is a long way away.
