Sometimes they just wanna be taken apart 🤷 I fixed a lot of drives just taking them apart And re-assembling. Not sure what I did either in many cases, besides cleaning it 😄
So I took out one of my ps1 games out of my ps3, and was switching it out for another game. That's when I noticed that it wasn't taking the disc or any discs. What would be the issue for this? Is it the reader that is loose or something?
Who knows why these things happen out of the blue. Try holding the eject button down until it begins its "disc drive reset" action. Hopefully it'll work after that.
if theres disks stuck in a ps3 you can simply pop out the small tab on the bottom of the console and manually remove them with a screwdriver. although this still doesnt fix the console not wanting to take disks.
Every variation of the consoles (ps3 fat, ps3 slim and super slim) have several variations each. They change it up inside for whatever reason. It’s best to search for videos using the model number of your console. It’s also the same with all the ps4 variants. Gets annoying. Usually it’s not a crazy change.
