Gorgeous I love the purple blues with the gold like rust with the pale armor.You should've painted the veins on his wings a bright color to make them pop but it's fantastic.Everyone usually paints him in greens
I really love this format. I like the regular rescue stuff, but wouldn't mind seeing more videos like this in the future. (Especially if you come back to the DG army)

I will miss the baby diaries. Not only for the baby (father of an 1 and a half year baby here!) But because I love seeing an army growing from plastic sprues to a fully painted army. But any kind of video you throw to us, I will see it! :D

Absolutely killed it on Morty. I've been looking at the wings lately and the nebula and pair of eyes in the wings have been my favorites so far. I really liked how Morty's face was ghostly looking too.
When are you going to bring out Ebay Rescue Branded Head Sun-glasses. The baby is a joy to behold; especially on the time-lapse. Squiggly-wiggly! 👶 The big chap's wings look awesome; like something out of the Lumineth colouring book. I've really enjoyed the more v-loggy style Baby Diaries.
Can't say I'm a fan of the figure, and I wasn't feeling the paintjob. That is until you used the purple oil wash on the robes. For me, that's what made the entire figure 'pop'. Excellent work Casey. 👍
I don’t tend to mix my inks with anything. Specifically though, the Daler Rowney FW inks are suuuper hit and miss. Some of their colors work really well, and others make a huge speckled mess. Their white in particular is nasty! For the most part I’ve switched completely to liquitex acrylic inks, they are way more consistent and the white they make is amazing! If you can’t find those then I would look for inks from miniature paint lines, vallejo make incredible inks, scale 75, greenstuff world, all very good and do what the other inks do. But If you can get fw, liquitex is usually in the same isle…and Amazon of course.

IMO purple/blue/pink starscape isn't a Nurgle paint scheme.. looks more Slaanesh or Tzeentch, Tzeentch especially because it gives a very magical vibe.. but hey it's yours so "you do you boo" as Lilly O'Riley says :P Also the arms especially are overly busy looking. As with so many things you do, I wish I could afford to do my own version of it.. unfortunately I might never be able to as I honestly have no clue what I'm ever going to do for work being autistic and physically disabled and having a bunch of other random health problems yet somehow still not bad enough to have a doctor help me get disability.. -.- Commifornia's medical industry in a nutshell.
Bubblegum Morty is really really not my cup of tea, but hey, these are your minis after all. And on that note, I don't really think the diary style vids should go away. Watching you paint your personal collection and watching you rescue to re sell are not mutually exclusive.
I'm not big on babies, but Hobby Baby has been a fun addition to your channel and I think I'll actually miss the Baby Diary format. Good luck on the next couple years with the little Hellion!
I am surprised you didn’t use a different color for the stitching along his head area. Might be a tiny detail, but using a flesh color might have broken the color scheme enough without all the purple. Still an amazing job 👍

For me it’s too much blues/pinks needs more nurgle colours, more rot and necrosis on flesh and wings, I look at how metals rust in real life and apply it to painting same as sores and pustules on the flesh for more of a gritty real feel but still kinda works overall thou
Is it me, or do some new modelers have a habit of using weird ass goo for their kits as a bulk adhesive (in my case, some used models I got from ebay used copious amounts of Mod Podge/white goo thing)?
Yeah one time I brought some. Guardians and their arms had some green stuff like thing attaching their arms. This confused me as all other parts were glued together, but it was a bitch to clean.

It’s definitely not about numbers. It’s just we are really close to the end of this Deathguard army! A few more things to wrap up and that’s it! I was doing the series to build the army and it seems like a good place to stop once it’s done. Maybe 1 or 2 more episodes and I’m thinking every piece will be done, at least that’s the goal lol. We’ll see how it goes.
Literally the best mortarion I’ve ever seen the colour choices were perfect and the rust looks fantastic not even the mention the wing the wings are straight up beautiful you did the model justice sir

This is the first time I've stopped to watch one of your videos and honestly, this model is amazing. The colors are so wonderfully chosen and orchestrated together that it feels like they ooze out of the model. This kinda sounds overdramatic now that I'm reading it back but I can't care
Thanks! If I were going to paint these without an airbrush I would focus on a couple of things. Wet blending for the wings, and a lot of drybrushing. You could get the same results pretty quickly that way :)
Those wings are awesome! Did you get any overspray from the brown enamel on them? I would've gone for a more green & moldy skin tone had it been my model, but yours still looks nicely undead and gross. This is a Very Good Thing! Your videos in general are always worth watching, baby diaries or not, sir, so don't worry about that.
What white ink are you using? it seems to be super speckly in the final images on the robe. I used FW and changed to Liquitex with a drop of medium, no more speckling.
beautiful coloring. I was starting to get disappointed at first because I thought, ohhhh here we go. Just covering with grime and calling it a a day. But at the end of it I was pleasently surprised and it looks beautiful.
Pleased keep working on the death guard army. You could sell it when it is finished and buy something real nice from that money for the baby, or put it in a fund for her driving licence or something like that :)

I'll be honest, I wasn't too happy with the "bi-sexual lighting" color scheme at first, due to its overused in everyday common culture (comic books, ads, movies, etc) BUT it looks great on Morty! He looks like the rusty exhaust pipe on a Harley - that is appropriate for the Prince of Decay. All I would've done differently was make his cloak a little more 'grim dark' brown leathery, similar to what's seen at 7:30. It would make for a wonderful dichotomy of beautiful wings erupting from a dark and diseased chrysalis. Regardless it's a great job! Cheers mate!
The wings definitely match with some real world moths that you can find and TBF it's a very mellow 'bisexual lighting'. Also I'm familiar with Aethermatic blue and can tell you from that, that the lighting looks like it was brightened a bit post production, doesn't help that there is already bright light for lighting to begin with.
The wings ended up looking awesome! Finally we have Mortarion! The only constructive critisicm I have to offer is that the face looks quite similar to the armour, maybe if you give it a wash with a green/brown/orange colour it can pop more?

I’m blown away by how close you can get with the Badger Patriot! I have the same airbrush, but still struggle when doing anything outside of priming. Do you adjust the psi down when getting that close or is it all trigger control?

That oil wash is like magic, it really gives a saturation to the color.
When you use ink out of the airbrush, do you mix it with anything? I have Daler Rowney FW ink, and I get mixed results.
