    Best paint job for this model I've seen, positively horrifying. Catches what Tyranids are supposed to be, more like alien in the classic movies. Extremely alien aggressive impossible to understand species of cosmic predators not some fcking weird plastic dogs like many cheerful colour schemes make them look. You made it look so easy, but the scheme is perfectly designed. Man that's really good with the gloss effect at selected areas need to remember that one

    Well the Norn Emissary has shown us all what a scary Tyranid finally looks like. Oh man, the details, pose, and overall style and aeathetic of him and the new elites they dropped are very impreasive. Gosh damn do i love the technology for making these so detailed now. Excellent work my friend.

    Great vid, love the use of blended colors and enamel washes. I think the only thing I would do different is starker contrast on the shadows, make that flesh nearly black at the back of the chest and under the head, so it is coming out of a shadow into a brighter light. Love this scheme a lot - however I was wondering if you could recommend an alternative to the streaking grime that you use? Perhaps an oil wash? What colour is it exactly ha

    I've really enjoyed watching the evolution of your Tyranid style, this is definitely the best looking one yet, amazing results! I was wondering though, what sort of colours would you do the wing membranes on things like the winged prime or parasite of Mortrex?

    • @TheFeralPainter
      @TheFeralPainter  Рік тому +1

      Thanks a ton! Yes I’ve been asked this question a few times now. So will be making a video on this as I have a couple of ideas/different ways.
      However I did paint my winged tyranid prime wings a little more peachy red skin tone, along with some veins with a translucent oil drybrush over to give impression of being under then skin.
      Hope that helps thanks Nate

      @@TheFeralPainter looking forward to seeing that update! I was thinking a slightly pinker skin might be the way but was worried it might take away from the grimdark vibes a bit. I might just give it a go and see how it comes out though!
