Great video Pan, I almost always clean my wheels last, two bucket method using the same bucket of shampoo I used for the body of the vehicle for my wheels with a dedicated wheel mitt. When necessary I will use an iron remover as a prewash stage prior to my hands on washing the body and wheels. Detailing is so fun!
Thank you. Best video I have come across. I spent $18 on car wash the other day and it had swirl marks an hour later. Gonna wash my new white Mercedes CLA class being as tho we are on lockdown due to the Coronavirus, some killer tips that will save my car from getting unnecessary scratches or imperfections 👌🏻

Wow this on goes back a few years. I have enjoyed watching your videos and have learned a few things and tips. I used to be known in my neighbourhood for having the cleanest, shiniest vehicles and was constantly being asked for washing techniques. One thing I would suggest as an addition to this video is to have a 2nd bucket. with just water in it to lightly rinse off the wash mitt after washing each panel. You can also use the hose to rinse off the mitt or better yet, both. When washing outside, even on an ideally cloudy day, wash the roof, rinse, wash the hood, rinse, wash the trunk / rear hatch, rinse then do the front the sides ( upper half then lower half with rinses in between ). I like the idea of a separate mitt for the wheels. When outside, lightly rinse the roof and hood just before drying to remove any dust particles off that may have landed on the car's flat facing up panels while you were washing the sides and wheels. Do you have a video on how to remove bugs. I use Auto Glym's Active Insect remover to make spraying the bugs and guts off a little easier, just follow the directions. Still there is always some smudges left over and especially after you have been on a long road trip. One thing I've done sometimes in the past on a daily driver non show car, is to put a clean soft towel over the front of the hood and grille area and soak it with water. I leave it on for an hour or two or even overnight to keep the bugs from drying up to a crust.
This is just a beginner's car wash tutorial, and was the very first detailing video on my channel seven years ago. Things have changed and evolved quite a bit haha. Here's my advanced car wash tutorial for enthusiasts and professionals: ua-cam.com/video/7Koj5j2Es5U/v-deo.html Welcome to my channel. Good video Pan but this should be updated. You should include the 2 bucket method, separate bucket for wheels/rims, proper gsm polishing towels, etc. Keep up with the awesome techniques and reviews of detailing equipment. Love to find cheaper yet more effective equipment.
So many people including myself watch your informative videos not just because of the valuable content but because you’re a likeable guy. Important rule in business# People will do business with you simply because they like you.
Like your videos. Great detailing info. Here’s something I picked up from another UA-cam Detailer. It’s a derivative on the two bucket method. As described in the video, it’s soap up, washing the vehicle, then rinsing out the mitt in clear water to reapply soap to wash with the same mitt. Over multiple rinses, wouldn’t the rinse water contain contaminants even with the gritt-guard . What I prefer is the two bucket/ three mitt method. Top surfaces are done with single mitt. As do each of the sides, getting as fresh mitt. The mitts only see the surface of the car once. They are put in the rinse bucket to keep any grits from drying out.I then rinse out ready to be put into the washing machine.

Thanks Elias!! I appreciate it! If you liked this video, I hope you checked out all the other ones on my channel... ;) How did you discover my channel?
Awesome video, thanks so much! How would you suggest getting brake dust off of the inside of the wheel closer to the center of the car? If I have 225 tires on, my hand can only get in an inch or two and I don't have a jack or lift to raise the car, so how can I clean the wheels entirely? Or is the trick to just clean the wheels weekly and not let the dust accumulate?
Also, the more frequently you wash your wheels, the less brake dust will accumulate over time. I wash my car twice weekly and wash the wheels every time. Use a quality wheel cleaner to help brake down brake dust and that will greatly help too (amzn.to/2pp5iGM),
Really love this video, I know you wash your own car a different way and much more detailed, however those videos can be overwhelming and difficult for guys who are just starting out or who don’t have there own garage, so I appreciate a simple car wash video
Yes the intention behind this video was a basic car wash tutorial without more complex steps. As you get comfortable with the basics, then you move to my more advanced videos. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Oh! it was one of your first videos Pan ;-) 5 years ago… I had a smile when I have seen your products, when we have a regard of what is this today 🙂. Keep on 👊🏻
Great if you've got sophisticated indoor facilities with drainage...Noticed that many cleaning and detailing videos are parked on block paving. 2 problems; If care not taken when jet wash used or even high pressure hose, the kiln dried sand between blocks can be blown up onto paintwork, also sand is then washed away from black paving. Suggest park on large tarpaulin to prevent this. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks for great informative video, UK.
This is great! I felt dumb googling "how to wash car" because I never had anyone show me how, but this is the simplest instruction I found! Thank you! but another question, how do you wash those mitts? :D

Sharing my passion has been a key component of my channel since day 1. :) This video here is literally the first detailing video on my channel from early 2016! :)
This was really good. One thing you didn't mention was having a second bucket of plain water to rinse the wash mitt in before putting it back in the wash bucket. This helps remove dirt and grit from the mitt, keeping it out of the wash water.
Very good info. I appreciate that you teach people on how to wash and detail car. Here is a quick tip when washing: rinse the mitt with the hose or use a multi wash mitt for each panel, that way the dirty mitt will never enter to the clean bucket. It is more efficient than the two bucket method with girt guard if you are into that. Also use a foam gun(the gun fit in the garden hose) if you want that extra mile. That what I use for a long time as a 2 buckets replacement no scratch or swirl whatsoever.
Nice to see another Canadian in the business. I'm from Ontario and my Super Duty is one hell of a job to clean, 'specially in the winter! Lucky you have a good garage for washing inside :).
Good video. I learnt recently to buy say 8-10 wash mits, keep them use them once on each panel, then discard to wash them in the washing machine. It’s as close to zero scratches as possible.
Could you please clarify when to use the micro fibre towel. How is it different from the drying towel ? As I can see both listed in the description. Thank you.
How do you wash your car in the garage? Do you have a drain in the floor, does your sheetrock and other equipment not get wet, too? Thanks for the awesome video and information!!
I had the garage specifically made for detailing cars. Yes it has a drain in the middle. Many other cool features you can see in my full garage tour video here: ua-cam.com/video/E_P6wRo3BH8/v-deo.html
Great video, I decided to look up how to properly clean a car after taking two of my vehicles to touchless car washes and they didn't look good after going through.
I like everything, just one question. How do you remove brake dust from the sidewall? I have some nasty brownish brake dust in the sidewall of the tire
Use an appropriate wheel & tire cleaner like this: bit.ly/3KnRk2i With a good tire brush like this: bit.ly/3cneWrf Also, I highly recommend that you watch my more recent and advanced car washing tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/7Koj5j2Es5U/v-deo.html
I use a three bucket system in my high end washes. One bucket for wheels, and two buckets for paint (as you’ll see in my other videos). This was more a video tutorial for people who don’t have two or three buckets yet still want to make a good job.
Good, clear and concise.....good effort! I have never known anybody in the UK wash their car other than outside in the driveway! It looks like valeting cars pays well in the US!?

Good video Pan but this should be updated. You should include the 2 bucket method, separate bucket for wheels/rims, proper gsm polishing towels, etc. Keep up with the awesome techniques and reviews of detailing equipment. Love to find cheaper yet more effective equipment.

You don't need 2 buckets.
Damn now i need a separate garage for washing cars. I live in a desert, hardly any shade ever. Lol
So many people including myself watch your informative videos not just because of the valuable content but because you’re a likeable guy. Important rule in business# People will do business with you simply because they like you.
Thanks for the kind words! I appreciate it!

How did you discover my channel?
It just popped up on my feed while I was looking for a video on how to clean my car with simplicity.
Again, thanks.
Thanks for the feedback!
What country are you watching from by the way? Cheers from Canada!
Just in the USA here, had one question: should I just go with 1 bucket and rely on the grit guard to separate the dirt and such? Let me know, thanks.
Thanks! To properly reach the inside of the wheel, you need a SpeedMaster brush (amzn.to/2qQIwYI), or Wheel Woolies brushes (amzn.to/2pVVpRV).
Oh! it was one of your first videos Pan ;-)

Thank you! You’ve helped me with this video. My Audi SQ5 is spotless!
Thanks Robert!

This was really good. One thing you didn't mention was having a second bucket of plain water to rinse the wash mitt in before putting it back in the wash bucket. This helps remove dirt and grit from the mitt, keeping it out of the wash water.
This was just a basic beginner’s guide. Here’s my more advanced car wash tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/7Koj5j2Es5U/v-deo.html
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you. Really enjoying these. Just bought a new car and want to start out doing the washes correctly.
Superb video. A pleasure to watch. But when you've used a washmit once, does it get used again or straight in the bin? Cheers!
You wash it and reuse it. Here is how I wash microfibers: ua-cam.com/video/t_ryfGlkE9I/v-deo.html
Thanks Aaron!
